DLA waiting times

Hi I hope someone can help DLA received my son's form on 31st March 2023 .. Today Friday 21st of July and still not heard from them .. I keep calling but they are just fobbing me off with excuses .. Won't even tell me if it's with a decision maker yet.. I am not ever sure if it's been looked at.. Tried to tell me I didn't put my bank details on the form ( but I know for sure I did ) because I have a copy.. They seem so full of bs right now and I am getting so very fed up.. contacted my MP even to see if he could help but he also hasn't got back to me.. This stress is taking its toll .. Does anyone else currently have the same problem??

Yeah I have seen people on the other threads get a descion in a couple of hours and some days after .

I’ve just been awarded MRC till 2025 I am so relieved it’s all over 🥳🥳

Does anyone know if child disability element and carers allowance gets backdated from the award of dla? Wonder how long that takes as just updated uc

I've seen in previous threads people have said it gets backdated from date of dla award

I’ve seen that you have to request for it to be backdated they don’t do it automatically xx

@Mammyof5cherubs ive updated uc and asked them to back date it 😊 god knows how long that will take 😂xx

My son has got middle rate care since he was born hes 3 in two weeks we sent a change for mobility (he can’t walk and is in wheelchair) scan date for the change was 31/03 and we are still waiting been told the wait time for change or circumstances is 26 weeks!

Scan date 27th April I can’t believe how long this is taking I was told to expect a decision 2nd week of August but people dated the beginning of April haven’t even had a decision. It’s absolutely disgusting to play people like this. 😔

Scan date 17/4. Called today and yesterday to make a complaint. Waiting on a manager to call me back today. I was told I would have a decision by 31/7..

I’m 28/04 these last few weeks are dragging!!

Finally found the new thread, thought the last one had gone a little quiet 😂 fingers crossed for everyone waiting. I'm at 15 weeks today (27/4) and the wait now feels unreal, I'm on edge

Called this morning was told now taking 18-20 weeks

@EB82 am I counting wrong? I’m 28/4 and I’ve worked out that in 14 weeks tomo. I am Terrible and maths so it’s probs me 😂😂
