Does anyone know how long after a decision being made you receive the entitlement letter? It’s been 2 weeks since the decision was made but still
no letter. TIA

@Mumto2sengirlsxx This happened to me originally and then finally it went through. I can only assume it’s where the phone line is too busy.

Mumto2sengirlsxx · 12/04/2023 18:33

@Mumof3wonderfullySEN ah ok hun ill try and keep getting through tomorrow! 🥰 x

Mumof3wonderfullySEN · 12/04/2023 18:53

@Mumto2sengirlsxx Did you do option 1 and 6? It took me a a few goes but then I ended up in the queue. I was in the phone 40 mins and then someone answered. Best of luck tomorrow. X

Mumto2sengirlsxx · 12/04/2023 18:56

@Mumof3wonderfullySEN no it was option 6 for new claim and option 3 for other as option 1 was pip and 2 was mobility... i called the number on my letter i got when i submitted the claim and we spoke to them a few weeks ago so was a bit annoying to not get through it did sound like the phones were just taken off the hook! Lol, i just need to make sure it isnt with a dm as i need to send more evidence her EHCP plan was approved and tell them theyve mistyped her first name im hopijg they dont make me start a whole new claim because of that! X

Jay53 · 12/04/2023 19:58

I gave them a call earlier. My scan date is 19th Jan. was told it's still to be looked at and to expect another 2-3 weeks as claims are taking 15-16 weeks at the minute.

Mummyof1sonxx · 12/04/2023 23:16

@jay53

My scan date was the 23rd of Jan so really hope I hear soon. Kinda the same stage

senautism · 13/04/2023 19:49

Can anyone help? My DLA renewal date is 11th April. My scan date was 30th Dec. I rang on the 6th April knowing bank holiday might interrupt any decision making and I was told it was with the DM. I had my last payment on the 28th March but then got another random payment that was half the amount of my usual monthly one on the 9th April. I am not sure why, is this because its a payment in arrears? I have been sat waiting for the letter but there is no letter yet. Clearly they have made a decision but I am not sure what the decision must be. I can ring of course or just wait. Has anyone else experienced this?

Mumto2sengirlsxx · 14/04/2023 13:57

@senautism i would say give them a call so you know for sure... if you dont it will bug you about why hun xx

Mumto2sengirlsxx · 14/04/2023 17:18

I managed to finally get through this afternoon 1 hr 26 mins i was waiting for someone to pick up i nearly gave up for today. I checked my childs nane spelt on their system and it was correct so she said it must of been a error on there system with her name spelt wrong... said i have more than enough time to send in more evidence as its not with a dm yet and will take about another 5 weeks 😪 i really dont like this wait its so stressful! Good luck for news soon for anyone whos waiting!!

senautism · 15/04/2023 00:42

Finally got through today. I was right it was an arrears payment to take to the end date. Been awarded the same award again for 2 more years. HRC and LRM. My child is 9, has autism, APD, physical and speech issues, an EHCP and attends Specialist school. Good luck to everyone else waiting. They do tend to leave it till the last day before looking at it as everyone else has said here.

KEMC23 · 17/04/2023 13:21

I rang this morning. My sons renewal has been just completed today 15 weeks after scan date (5th jan) letter to follow 7-10days. was becoming quiet anxious as his current claim was due to end on Monday. His rates have maintained at the same.

good luck to everyone else! :)
