I agree - definitely apply. I put it off for over a year as I didn’t feel I should, but I’m now kicking myself that I didn’t apply before.

Finally got awarded today. No letter just a payment in my bank for back pay. Looks like he has got HLC and poss HLM too. How long was it before you got a letter with a breakdown. I can now finally relax and breathe again.

That’s great! It must be nice knowing you’re getting some much needed help and you won’t have to go into battle to get it.

What was your scan date?

@Mammato2senkiddos I got awarded on the 30th may & I got my letter yesterday x

My daughter got awarded 12th May and still no letter am I best off ringing? I know the rate etc as I phoned when received the text but still no letter

@Peachlollipop Yes definitely relieved and my scan date was the 27th feb. Bit of a wait for the letter but I wasn't expecting the higher amount at and expected to fight for the minimum so a bit of a shock really.

@Mumof31995 will wait a week or so for the letter then thanks. Couldn't have got through the wait without you lovely lot easing the stress and answering my questions. It always helps to know you're not alone so thanks everyone 😊🥰

@Minnie83 🤞🤞🤞🤞 things work out for you soon. It has all happened at once for me. Been battling for 3+ years and now we have today got a dla payment and also an email confirmation for EHCP assessment for him at school and should get autism feedback next week too. I dunno what I will do with my extra time I will have from not fighting something for once. It's a long hard slog but you will get there. Just looking forward to the end of assessments for a change and actual plans put in place that will support him instead of best guesses from professionals and not a lot happening.

My DD has just been awarded. I can see the payment pending. Scan date 1 March.

I’m with First Direct. I logged on to do some online banking and there it was. It hasn’t actually arrived in my account yet, but it’s at the top, showing as ‘pending’.

@Minnie83 Nope, that is literally my only clue that I’ve been awarded. I’m not even sure of the rates. No text. The post is terrible where I am, so it may take a while, but I’ll update again when I get a letter as I know that I found it helpful to know when other people heard.
