Do your 7 year olds still have teddies? I got my son a teddy and my mum said he’s “a bit old” he’s 7 and he’s “a boy”

My eldest is 7 in Feb, he still sleeps with 3 teddies. I slept with a Teddy till my teens. Comfort is comfort and shouldn't be denied.

Huh? My 6 year old boy has about 20 on his bed.

My 9 year old boy got a new Teddy this summer...a miniature of another one he has called....xxxxxx junior. Last Xmas he got 2 small ones of another Teddy he has called yyyyyyy junior junior and yyyyyy junior junior's brothers. (He already has xxxxxx, yyyyyyy and yyyyyyy junior!)

My other son meanwhile would have wondered why he was being bought teddy's at any age as he has no interest in them.

If my 9yo is on a rare occasion offered to choose something in a shop, she will always go for a teddy.

Her 9yo friend (a boy) is the same.

My 7 year old son has teddies. I know adults who have teddies!

Ignore your Mum. Get what you think your child will love.
My 12 yr old still has favoured teddies at the bottom of his bed. Heck I still have my favourite teddy from my childhood.

My DD2's best friend (boy) got a gigantic teddy last Christmas - I know this because she was jealous of it . He's 11 and he's cool (not that that matters but ykwim).

My 17 year old nephew still has his teddy propped up next to his bed, he is now over 6ft tall sport daft lad. Even DH knows where his teddy is.

DS is 13. He is very loyal to his soft toys. He’s never had a teddy teddy, but several other soft toys, and of which his owl still sleeps on his bed with him.
