Think we've all had enough of bloody flows @Peacefulspirit 😆
I must admit my HV said the same regarding formulas but I dont know if this is complete coinsidence, but Macy has had two feeds of HIPP organic already tonight and we've had no spit up or crying 🤪 maybe just fluke and tomorrow she'll unleash complete hell on us! Haha.
I had a donut cushion but quite a ridgid one and it's safe to say I only used it the once, I found it painful on my stitches lol, but it does relieve pressure for some. My biggest advice though is try and wear bottoms without a seam down the crack, I find as soon as the seam presses on your arsehole the pain is worsened haha!!! X

Has anyone considered what contraception (if any) they are going on? I had to laugh when my consultant asked me what contraception I was considering.. during my discharge 😅 I'm booked in to have the implant fitted this Monday. I've had it before, it's not for everyone but it stopped my periods for the three years it was in.. bliss!

@MyGrassIsBrowner I am getting on ok thanks, be a different story when DP goes back to work as his help is invaluable. I am looking at baby classes like @Peacefulspirit but not sure which yet as I think they will keep me busy. That being said we are in and out of hospital all the time at the moment with tests etc. to check she is not getting poorly again
Good they are thorough but hard to keep track of it all haha.

Sleep wise she is so lovely and has finally started crying for feeds which although i should be devestated about i am over the moon! When you worry bout them eating for so long it is like a relief. Just done the 3am feed and about to go back down to sleep before 7am lol, cannot wait!

@MyGrassIsBrowner ABSTINENCE! 😂😂😂

i need to look as I had the pill before but i dont really like it, scared to try something new incase it makes me worse at the moment. Sister had a bad reaction to the implant but that is rare

mrssunshinexxx · 03/11/2021 07:56

@Peacefulspirit thanks will defo keep that in mind I suppose I'm hoping for everything not to be horrific down there but wishful thinking id imagine

@MyGrassIsBrowner I was on the evra patch before I had my lo but haven't had a period since sep 2019 now when I conceived we will be using natural cycles app and pull out method but we are fairly certain we want a third quite close IF my birth doesn't traumatise me !

MyGrassIsBrowner · 03/11/2021 10:03

@Juicytoot287 oh bless you, what are they testing her for now?
Macys jaundice has totally gone now, she doesn't wake herself for all feeds during the day/night as such, she'll just get a bit restless but not all the time. They'll get there though!
I was devestated when DP went back to work, it hit me hard this time as when I had my first he was on furlough so he got like the worlds longest paternity leave lol.. 100 days we worked out in the end! And this time I haven't just got the one to look after. Safe to say I've had a fair few breakdowns this past month.
Hahaha to be fair poor DP hasn't been allowed near me for months now! And I actually dont know when we'll get 10 mins together.. alone! 😅
@mrssunshinexxx
Oh my god I couldn't even think about no.3 and I've had no.2 already lol. My body is totally wrecked after these pregnancies. Some women are just built for pregnancy I think. I'm not one of them lol.

@MyGrassIsBrowner I know! He has got 1 week left and it doesn't feel enough
All our friends work monday to Friday too so not like i can fill the time either. dreading it for my mental health to be honest and not sure what to do.

They are testing for hips, jaundice if it has returned and weight checks. She seems to be going the right way though. Jaundice was awful so soon after birth but the benefit was the UV treatment is quick and does bring it right down. She is similar to Macy though, she grunts and whines for food but isnt actually waking lol - this is more thsn she did though! and she is drinking more too so all promising. Very proud of how far she has come now, actually looking forward to weighing her tomo and seeing the difference!

mrssunshinexxx · 03/11/2021 14:10

@MyGrassIsBrowner well In a few days I could be saying completely different and that I'm done ! We both do really love the idea of 4 but this opregnancy has been v hard. My husband has his own business and works away I'm dreading him leaving as he will be away mon to Fri x

summerhillgang · 03/11/2021 15:03

Help! About an hour's sleep last night. Baby must be going through a leap already, super grumpy, clingy and just wants to boob constantly. She literally doesn't sleep unless she can sleep on me. If I put her to sleep between us she just cries, but she was ok to go down next to us a few days ago. I don't know if there's a safe way to sleep with a baby on me 😞😵‍💫

MyGrassIsBrowner · 03/11/2021 15:16

@Juicytoot287 argh it's horrible knowing they have to go back isn't it! ☹
I think you need to keep yourself busy, definitely try the baby clubs if there are any in your area? Personally they dont do anything for me I'm a homebird so happy to steer clear of people 😆
Good luck with the weigh in tomorrow! Such a good feeling seeing their weights go up!

@mrssunshinexxx my pregnancy was just horrid this time, no way could I put my body through that again as much as I'd love a 3rd. My DP said he couldnt bare to see me in that state again.

@summerhillgang oh you poor love, I totally feel you we're having similar issues. No real safe way to sleep with baby on you however I've done it, needs must sometimes! I sleep in the middle of our bed, baby on me and the quilt essentially wrapped around us and tucked under me so we're both swaddled! I got a few hours kip doing that once! It's hard going isn't it. X

Omg I could not imagine going to a baby class right now! It's something I defo want to do but I don't know when I'll feel confident to do that. I'm getting a car in a couple of days and need to remind myself how to drive, but I hope this will help me find my independence again.

DH was working in London today and I didn't manage to get out of bed until 4pm until he got back. Baby was permanently attached to the boob / sleeping with boob in mouth from 2:30am till then, pretty much. Yes it's bloody hard work @MyGrassIsBrowner - I thought we'd cope a lot better tbh. Normally I run the house, cooking, cleaning etc -handed over to DH and even though he's really trying, we're not really eating that well and I'm feeling like absolute shit. On the flip side, he's bloody amazing with the baby and nothing seems to phase him, always happy and cheery with the baby. I'm just a misery guts and I feel sorry for him dealing with my tears, nags and moans. I know I really need to focus on the positives.

In other news, the dog was sick on the bed today and yesterday she did an actual dirty protest all over my trusty pregnancy pillow. It was a total write off. I don't think she's handling the change in hierarchy very well.

MyGrassIsBrowner · 03/11/2021 21:28

@summerhillgang I'm the same - not eating properly if at all most days so in turn I feel so shit and exhausted. I feel out of my depth and overwhelmed a lot having two now. Scarlett is hitting the tantrum stage and it's testing and you can GUARANTEE, the minute Macy starts getting aggy and whingey, Scarlett will also start kicking off. I do wonder what our adjoining neighbours must think sometimes Blush
Scarlett is a total daddies girl, her persona changes the minute he walks through the door. Whereas Macy just will not settle for him whatsoever, no matter how hard he tries.
I'm so sorry your pooch is finding things a bit of a strain, must be horrible finding that balance, I mean what the hell do you do other than get rid of the baby? 😆

Mama’s can I ask was your baby congested after birth? LO came out sounding really congested which I believe is normal but it means she’s struggling to sleep on her back. She’s been fine sometimes but since we’ve been home she won’t sleep in her next to me cot, she kicks off I think it’s because she’s struggling to breathe through her nose as she’s on her back?
So far me and OH have had to just stay awake with her on our chest (each doing shifts).
I’m hoping it’ll go in a few days? I can’t keep doing all nighters.
Any tips? Has any one else struggled with congestion or newborn refusing to sleep in the crib?

Juicytoot287 · 04/11/2021 07:15

@mrssunshinexxx funny you say that! Emmie threw uo everywhere the other morning whilst crying and pooing - all hands on deck moment. The dog clearly got jealous so threw up too! She was completely fine aside from that and is since, just missed some attention lol. It is sad as it all used to be about her so must be a change.

@NW2021
I was in hospital with Em but she was congested with mucus on her chest from the birth. It meant she would almost choke randomly and I would tip her over my knee to try bring ot up. They told me it would pass through naturally in poo if she couldnt bring it up so that may reassure you? She did clear up and stop doing it so hang in there!

MyGrassIsBrowner · 04/11/2021 09:11

@NW2021 Macy was full of mucus after my section as well (more common with sections as them being pushed through the birth canal during delivery naturally pushes it out usually) it got worse before it got better but overall took about a week. It might be that your LO doesn't like sleeping on their back regardless, I know Macy hates it, she's a front sleeper and my firstborn was too! Just make sure you're getting plenty of burps up after feeding! I find putting them high on your shoulder and giving firm back pats usually gets a few good burps out of them!

@MyGrassIsBrowner @Juicytoot287 this is reassuring! Thank you ☺️
FTM it’s difficult to know if it’s normal or what we can do to help. I defo realised yesterday I wasn’t winding her enough which I’ve now done more of last night and noticed such a difference!
She’s feeding fine, sleeping fine just won’t go down by herself will only sleep on us at the moment but we’ll get there! All a learning curve x

mooloop · 04/11/2021 12:52

Morning guys!

Am I officially the only pregnant one left now? 😂 40+5 today.

Been to the midwife and had a sweep. She said she could just about reach my cervix and it was starting to soften but still had a way to go. Head 3/5 engaged. So I feel a bit deflated today!

mrssunshinexxx · 04/11/2021 13:53

@mooloop no how you feel I'm 39+6 had second sweep yest and there was no change from Fridays however last night for a couple of hours I was getting quite strong twinges and I really thought it was go time but then they just stopped felt so down and disappointed this morning I actually cried. Got another sweep booked for Monday but don't know if I can even be arsed

mooloop · 04/11/2021 14:15

Awww @mrssunshinexxx I know how you feel! When my due date came and went I felt really emotional but I've felt a bit better the last few days. I know it's irrational but I feel a bit disappointed in my body not doing what it's meant to if that makes sense?! My logical brain knows that's stupid but I can't help it!

Kittyswhiskers · 04/11/2021 14:15

I’m still pregnant too and hoping I last till Monday when I’ll be bang on 39 weeks for my ELCS!

mrssunshinexxx · 04/11/2021 14:18

@mooloop I know exactly what you mean my due date tomorrow and a bonfire night baby would be lovely just want to get on with it now as I'm really anxious about the birth

mooloop · 04/11/2021 14:53

@mrssunshinexxx I feel the same! I really thought he'd come this week but now I'm 99% sure I'll be induced next week Sad

MyGrassIsBrowner · 04/11/2021 15:54

@mooloop I keep thinking of you mrs!!!! So sorry nothing is happening for you yet 😭

@mrssunshinexxx I can understand the anxieties regarding the birth, but once you're in labour you'll just be focused on meeting your baba!

@Kittyswhiskers I had an ELCS this time, it was an amazing experience, I absolutely loved it! Good luck with yours!

Kittyswhiskers · 04/11/2021 18:17

Thank you @MyGrassIsBrowner I just want it to be next week now as I’m super anxious about going into labour and it turning into EMCS Sad

MyGrassIsBrowner · 04/11/2021 19:23

@Kittyswhiskers is this your first baby? I was so anxious about going into labour before mine, but if you do, chances are you'll get to hospital, gowned up and prepped for section well before your labour progresses for it to end up as an emergency! Just try and rest as much as you can on the run up. X
