OP I am so sorry this is happening to you. I hope you have managed to get into the hospital to be with her. I can't imagine what you are going through, it is inhumane to be left in the carpark even in this situation. Jesus. Even my husband was allowed to be with me and I had a broken arm in three places, this is clearly far worse. She should have you there.

You must know whatever happens, this was not your fault. This is your dd's journey, and you could not have done anything else. There are ways around everything. I am so sorry you are going through this

It is my fault. They're my medicines and I was clearing out the cupboard where they live and I accidentally left them on the side. I had no idea she was feeling this bad.

Please don't blame yourself. Ever.

When I was a teenager I did a similar thing and my Mum was always blaming herself for it. Couldn't be further from the truth, I knew what I wanted to do and I found a way to find what I needed.

It was never ever her fault regardless of what tablets were in the house. It not yours either.

I hope she recovers well and gets the help she needs.

I promise this is absolutely not your fault. She would have taken something else/done something else if she hadn’t have found your tablets, and this way you knew what she had taken so you could act

I'm appalled that the parent of a teen who has taken an overdose cannot be allowed into the hospital with her. I do hope she's okay OP. Have you been able to see her? Have you been able to get any news? This really isn't your fault, you know. You didn't know she was suicidal. We all have medicines in our homes that could be harmful if taken in a high enough dose

Here for handhold. Please, this is most definitely not your fault. If it hadn't been the pills, she would have found another way.
