When do your children get washed?

So this is probably a strange one - please bear with me!
At the moment my children, 9 and 6, get a shower in the morning before school, and to be honest it causes problems most mornings as they stay in the shower for ages and we end up rushing to get ready on time/I end up shouting like a banshee to 'put your shooeeeeessss ooonnnnn'! .
Some of my friends wash their kids at night, before bed.
So my random question is, when do you wash your kids?
If you wash them at night, I'm assuming they then put clean pants on? Do they then put clean pants on again in the morning, or not until the nighttime wash again (which in my mind is the same as them putting on clean pants in the morning then not changing them until the following morning after a wash, IYSWIM? Or clean pants night and morning? Or no pants and clean pjs every night?

My four year old showers and bathes at night, clean pants. In the morning clean pants again. In summer she may have a quick morning shower too, hair clipped up, clean pants.
We have many pants!

Bath at night, no pants in bed, clean pants in the morning. Nighties rather than pyjamas, changed every 2 nights.
I think you may be overthinking a little.

Before bed. DS is 4 and not dry at night yet so he’s in a pull up, he gets a wash in the morning when it comes off. If he was dry then it would be clean pants after his bath/shower and then clean pair again in the morning (what I do - I also shower in the evenings most days)

I think showers in the morning for young children cause more problems than it's worth. Mine are adults now, but they showered at night, clean pants, same pants for the next day. They would usually wear the same pjs for a couple of nights because their bodies were clean when put on, so I didn't see the need for fresh pjs every single night.

@SoUtterlyGroundDown Haha I definitely think I'm overthinking it but we have tried the bath tonight and I'm now going hmmm? DH is working away at the moment so I've got far too much spare time on my hands 😂

Why are children wearing pants in bed? (And what a weird sentence to write.) No adults wear pants in bed, so why would children need to?

Mine is still in nappies so not relevant, but I imagine we'll carry on doing a bath at night and clean pjs every two or three days depending on how dirty they get.

Dd showers at night - sleeps in pj's or nothing (no pants involved)
DS often showers in the morning or sometimes at night. Wears nothing or pj shorts (also no pants involved)

Why pants in bed? I only wear them if using a sanitary towel

I wear pants in bed. I don’t really want secretions on my bed sheets.
DC always bathe at night, getting in bed dirty from the day is gross to me.

They shower every morning before school? At their age a bit OTT, they don’t need to shower that much! DSS now nearly adult showered 3 times a week until a stinky teen (around 15) then it needed to be everyday. This was always the PM, and fresh pjs , no pants.

My DS 5 has a bath twice a week, he has bad eczema and anymore isn’t recommended by our dermatologist. He is in the evenings too,

I wear nothing in bed. Don't know how you're getting secretions on your sheets

@whatswithtodaytoday erm I wear pants to bed and my DH wears boxers, so the kids have always worn pants and pj's. If I'm cold I'll put pajamas on top of my pants, if I'm not cold I just wear pants!

At night, clean pants or no pants, then clean pants again in the morning.

Mine get a bath at night then into pjs, they don't wear pants to bed.

DS is 3. I top and tail him with a flannel every morning. I bath him in the evening 2 or 3 times a weeks. If I don’t bath him in the evening I top and tail him.
He’s still in nappies so clean pjs every night,clean clothes every day. When he is out of nappies it will be clean pjs every 2 days and still clean clothes every day. No pants at night.
Baby gets a bath when she does a messy poo, can be anytime in the day. I aim for 2 baths a week, other times I just wash her with a flannel.

I have never heard of this before

Ds is 6 and he has his bath or shower every night. He gets filthy at school so it wouldn't work any other way
No pants and clean pjs every night or 2 nights .

In fact I write this to you whilst in bed, wearing PANTS

I wear pants and nothing else in bed

Child wears pyjamas though so no pants

In fact now I'm curious, why don't people wear pants to bed? Should I not be wearing them? But then why wear them in the day if not at night? So many questions.

@whatswithtodaytoday isn't it strange how different everyone does things! I never remember a time when I didn't wear pants tbh, think I'd feel weird not wearing any in bed.
