I need some motivation ................. waaayyyy too much work to do, please help me!

Ok I have to hand in 6000 words of my dissertation by 31st October.

So far I have done er ...nothing!! I have downloaded most of the articles I need but havent even scanned through them yet to start writing.

I need to do about 2000 words a week for the next 3 weeks to get this in

Please help i just keep spending time on here and facebook and doing nothing

soph come and tell us how you got on, I have been thinking of you and keeping everything crossed that it went well.

Mars I have done 1000 words altogether now. I am disappointed but its been a crappy day. I am going to go at it again tomorrow and want to be up to 2000 by the end of the day. The kids go by 8am so there will be no excuse

er I didnt join those threads until after I gave up at 3pm which is just before the dc's got home.
I'm not doing it tonight I'm going to the gym which i need for my sanity.
I know its not good enough but I will try harder tomorrow

Right............Mears how about a bit of "free writing"? What you do is write down a key word or phrase that you need in your proposal. Then for 10 mins free write. Just write what comes to mind. Don't worry about accuracy, facts etc... just write what comes to mind. Then re-read and list the things that

need emphasis
you've missed
need facts

That should get you started. You have until the weekend to write the proposal or at the very least have it fully planned and ready to go.

I want regular updates. Even if I can't get to the PC in the day I'll always get here in the evening/early hours/am!
