I need some motivation ................. waaayyyy too much work to do, please help me!

Ok I have to hand in 6000 words of my dissertation by 31st October.

So far I have done er ...nothing!! I have downloaded most of the articles I need but havent even scanned through them yet to start writing.

I need to do about 2000 words a week for the next 3 weeks to get this in

Please help i just keep spending time on here and facebook and doing nothing

I have been hard at work since 11.30am, I scanned my articles until about 3.30pm and identified all my key themes and highlighted important quotes, ideas, etc.

I have just started to write have done my introduction and my literature search strategy. A total of 436 words, and seeing as I have been working for 5 hours I'm stopping to make dinner and have a rest.

Thanks for motivation Marslady, I was actually scared of coming on and telling you I'd done nothing . My next planned day of work is Wednesday so will check in then for a good shouting at

did a couple of hours today, but like you mosschops was productive. know what i have to do. have tomorrow morning (have cancelled what i had in) and wednesday morning to do it...

couple of thousand words of UTTER CRAP that is all but unusable. which means i've got tomoroww until 3.15 to write it.

No helpful advice other than get on with it.

I begged for help from mumsnet a good few months ago and still haven't got the show on the road, despite posting here less.

You need to give yourself a 'good talking to' and get on with it.

Otherwise you will be like me - regretting the fact that you didn't complete on time which for me has impacted on an employment opportunity.

welll.....i have done a thing. whether it is a good thing is highly debatable but i've been at it for most of today....and it is done. as done as it's gonna be by tomorrow.
