Colleagues 1, 2 and 3 are in bed asleep - hurrah!
Colleague 4 is lying on my knee purring.
Colleague 5 has gone out for a prowl in the back garden.

DH - who thinks he is CEO- is making omelettes and salad for us for our tea.

I am lying on the sofa watching The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.

Busy day in the office today.

The office juniors did some training on a new software package called Animal Crossing and gave positive feedback to the group.

I hosted a brunch on the canteen terrace, although disappointingly the MD was a no-show.

I made a prototype face mask which my colleagues critiqued and brainstormed improvements for comfort, following which a production line was set into motion.

In the afternoon the office junior in another branch convened a worldwide conference call for the several UK Europe and Asia HQs together with the company pensioners in celebration of the firm's matriarch.

My colleagues then cleared their desks to create a home office for me, exclaiming that I earned the right to my own space. I just think they want to skive without me seeing.

My male colleague will only wear dresses.
My female colleague will not wear anything at all.

I am the CO-founder and Director of a successful, medium-sized business.

One employee, who claims to have been self-isolating this past week has arrived to work unexpectedly on time today with an expression that says he feels he should be lauded for this accomplishment. He has form for taking credit for others’ work and while he is a capable, fun, and charming member of staff I do feel I need to have a word with him at some point re pulling his weight. He is also not dressed appropriately for the office.

Another employee has just been caught playing computer games on office time while ostensibly crunching numbers as part of a project for our client in the education sector. He claims to be able to multi-task but I need to oversee this tightly to ensure he can deliver on time.

My CO-Director is currently making a bloody mess Brownies for the staff in the office kitchen, to lift employee spirits in these challenging times. I feel his efforts should be directed to more essential projects but I’ve learned throughout 18 years in business together that I must pick my battles carefully with my partner.

Yet another employee keeps entering my department unbidden to show me photos from her office iPhone and ask my opinion on various guitars she wishes to purchase. Not only is this procurement not related to our business, but I do not actually care what colour guitar she chooses and wish she would leave my department and leave me to carry on with my own tasks, but she is our most reliable worker so I am giving her some slack today.

Finally, all staff seem to have forgotten our office policy of each employee being responsible for the clearing from their departments and washing up of his/her own items in our company kitchen as we have no designated admin to do this for them.

One of my colleagues is in bed with a giant furry shark, insisting he can stay in bed until 5 mins before his 8.45 online meeting with our training providers. My other colleague is grunting and rolling in his dressing gown.

One of my colleagues has taken my Mother's Day chocolate and ate them in a playhouse when I wasn't looking
My other colleague thinks he's a DJ and made a recording studio in his cupboard instead of doing any work!

Colleague 2 has announced yet again - everyday since last summer- that
she will only wear shorts and a t-shirt
Colleague 1 has told us he 'did a very big poo' and wonders what lessons he is doing today and can he do some paintings later
Colleague 3 is now crawling, hauling himself up to a standing position occasionally and shrieking with delight at how clever he is Grin
Colleagues 4 and 5 have just had breakfast and are having an after breakfast snooze

My colleagues are being absolute dicks to each other today. It pains me during these difficult times but I have had to open up disciplinary proceedings against them. Next stage is written warning.

We've had to seek help from head office in the form of Drake the good behaviour isolation Snake. He usually only comes out during school holidays so I hope they understand the severity of the situation

My colleague is attached to my boob. She's being very possessive over it and will not let go of the nipple. This is becoming rather awkward.

Grumpbum123 · 24/03/2020 12:10

My colleagues are either playing on his hoverboard or playing Lego

therewerefour · 24/03/2020 12:11

Colleague 1 had a bit of a whingeywail this afternoon because he wanted to go to his school to see if it was open so he could get a coloured pencil that was sooooo important that none of his 48 coloured pencils would do. Wailed on when DH said no.
DH (calmly and conversationally) - Do you think crying is going to make me change my mind?
Colleague 1 - No
DH- Is doing it making you feel better?
Colleague 1 - No
DH - So why are you crying?
Colleague 1 - Not sure....I think I might stop.
DH - That would be a good idea.
Colleague 1 - OK
