Crikey Moosma! She sounds a bit wild!

Gave Ds a small soap and he MUCH prefers that to expensive Kandoo foamwash with a frog head on it, drat!

I was at work today and Dh managed to get Ds to use a toilet seat for a wee. Prefers potty though..

littleboo · 24/08/2007 09:19

News again-
ds2 woke up this morning with completely dry nappy again- huge wee on potty after having beaker of milk..... Think fingers crossed we're well on the way. Not sure about trying at night properly yet though, will leave nappy on for a while, seems too soon.
Hope aall is well for other potty mums

feeling a bit about this all now so not posted much, DD is fine with no bottoms on but as soon as I put knickers or pants on her it goes out of the window, am geeting a tad frustrated as am sure she knows when to go but just can't be arsed!

just read the rest of the thread, no probs with hand washing, will stand there all day and wash her hands if she got her own way

chocbiscuits · 24/08/2007 22:06

Cheer up curly, Ds was like that but then got the hang of it.

MoosMa · 24/08/2007 22:23

Sorry to hear you're struggling cwce, I had a couple of days like that with DD but lept going and she got better all of a sudden.

Today she climbed out of her cot again (little monkey) so I lowered the base to its lowest setting and she climbed out right in front of me (just to make a point I think). She hasn't had any accidents for 2 days though so I can't complain!

Back now - been away for the weekend. Total NIGHTMARE weekend. DS1 aaged 4 has been sick and explosive diorrhea with tummy cramps and raging fever all last night and today. Poor little love! DS2 is fine with wees but refused to sit on the chemical loo where we were for long enough to do a poo even though he kept telling me a poo was coming. So most poos in the pants this weekend!

Between the 2 of them I have never seen so much poo as I have in the last couple of days!
DS2 now off food and temp slightly up! hope he's not going the same way as DS1. every chance he is! Wish me luck!

chocbiscuits · 27/08/2007 22:46

oh poor you! marge2.
We have no poo at the moment so opposite problem to you.
Oth ds been doing brilliantly with wees even if we go out or something. Nursery tomorrow for the first time - will have to see how he gets on. (cross fingers).

chocbiscuits · 28/08/2007 21:07

He was fine at nursery!! I was amazed!!!!

Hi all,
May i join this thread? DD is 2.4 and we want potty train her. She knows she got to use toilet, but she just doesnt want to sit on it. We have toilet seat, and mothercare little potty but she refuse to sit on them. Does anyone know where to get bigger size potty, the one we have from mothercare seems really small and she shouts "tight,, tight" I presume its not comfortable to sit on it. She tells when she is going to do poo, when we offer her to sit on potty she will go hysteric.
She tell us when nappy is full, and she almost changes her nappy. What do we do?
How do we make her sit on potty?
Hope someone got clever idea?
x

Hello can i join too, albeit a bit late in the day?

Sounds like everyone is doing really well so-far. Divamum - my dd was the same for ages and then one day she suddenyl sat on the potty of her own accord and a week or two later she did a poo in it so I'm sure your dd will do the same, it's just a matter of waiting it out I suppose..

dd is 22 months and I am on day 4. She's been pretty good (3 poos and 3 wees in the potty, 1 poo and 2 wee accidents) until today when she seems quite traumatised by the idea of the potty and cried whenever I brought it into the same room. Eventually I put her back in a nappy and she did a poo in it (hadn't done one for over 24 hours so I was a bit concerned). Tried to put another nappy on her but she was crying for her pants so am now very confused... any advice gratefully received...

marge2 · 29/08/2007 16:00

Not too bad in the 'house of poo' today. Both boys feeling better. DS1 still a bit gripey and squitty , but DS2 seems OK today. Kept a nappy as thought potty training and possible raging squits not a good combination! All wees are still in the loo though

Will take it off again tonorrow and see how we go.

chocbiscuits · 29/08/2007 21:30

hello, don't have any helpful advice I'm afraid.

I thought we'd cracked it then Ds pood on the stairs in the middle of tea.
Oh dear...

anneyc · 29/08/2007 22:46

LoL at the Kandoo foam wash comments... we too have a bottle approx 2yrs old still sitting on the sink. Never used anymore.. kids prefer the grown-ups carex.

We're potty training too, (day 6) ds 3.3 is in the process, pretty unsuccessful so far, the washing machine is working overtime.

Looking at all your posts, I think I'm relying on him too much to take himself, when I remind him to go he says he doesn't need to go then 15mns later he's widdled on the floor. He says he's too busy playing to go to the potty.

He came in to tell me very excitedly that he'd done a poo in the potty.. in actual fact he'd done a poo in his pants and then tipped it into the potty!! Ahhh welll

littleboo · 30/08/2007 14:19

we're still going great, BUT occasionall if I don't remind him we have the odd wee in pants
still every few mornings now waking with dry nappy
Due to start new nursery next week .... am really anxious ablout what will happen then.

We're doing well most of the time here too. We have maybe 1 wee accident about every 2 or 3 days but they're only tiny bits then she stops herself and gets to a potty quick! She's even started running and saying "quick quick quick!" on the way!
