\link{http://www.pottytrainingconcepts.com/Free-Potty-Training-Certificate-Boy.jpg\bi this is REALLY good}

MarsLady · 30/05/2006 12:15

Loving those certificates.

Okay.... here comes the point where I may wobble.

I trust the Cod... I trust the Cod....

Itsy and Bitsy are due their nap. However, DT1 still hasn't wee-ed. So, do I put them down with their care mats ready to scoop DT1 up as she cries "I pooey mummy I pooey"?

I'm so tempted to ignore nap time, but then I'd go stir crazy. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm....

I trust the Cod..... I trust the Cod..........

MarsLady · 30/05/2006 12:16

Yes oh Coddy one!

Here's hoping she's done a wee before her milk is ready. Gulp!

LadyCodofCOdford · 30/05/2006 12:16

offer he a sweet
you go too
put the tap on as she drinks

MarsLady · 30/05/2006 12:17

sweet if she wees?

will do the tap thing and have a wee at the same time as well.

MarsLady · 30/05/2006 12:30

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!

This girl is stubborner than me!

I turned the tap on, she even starting saying pshhhhhhhhhhhhhh herself.

I wee-ed she said "good girl mummy, wash hands"

So..... nap time beckons

Hayls · 30/05/2006 12:34

Yes, I am staying strong. AHd to go to GP this morning and took dd in her pants depsite the fact that she hadn't weed yet. She was fine but just wete herself a few minutes ago. She made no attempt to go to the potty, just did it through her pants and trousers (hadn't had chance to take them off since coming home)then got really upset. I sat her on the potty, gave her a sweet then cleaned her up.
I actuallly think I'm cracking now...the nappies are calling me...
Going away on Thursday morning and flying there so panicking a bit about that too

MarsLady · 30/05/2006 12:39

Dagnamit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whilst trying to sort DT1 I didn't manage to get a potty to DT2 in time. Missed by about 10 secs... gutted!

Still nothing from DT1. Need to put them to bed, maybe a sleep and a better mood will help.

Hayls · 30/05/2006 12:53

OOh, MArs you are doing soooo well!! I really think dd knows but is playing games with me. i KNOW she can do it

MarsLady · 30/05/2006 13:03

Okay. Two care mats laid, DTs bedded down. DT1 really wanting to wee but refusing to use potty. Just about got her to lie down on the care mat.

DT2 thinks it is all a big game. Gone to bed happily (whether or not he stays there.......)

So... on balance I feel like I'm winning today. If DT2 keeps on like this he'll be trained by the end of the week. Here's hoping DT1 catches on.

Thank you Hayls. I think that your DD and my DT1 are rather similar. You keep on going though. Remember she's barely past your knee lol

Hayls · 30/05/2006 13:09

Well dd is refusing to go to sleep. SHe's quite happy so obv not very tired but will be a nightmare later on- good job I'm going out at 4 haha.
I really feel like throwing in the towel but part of me is so determined and feels like it's a battle that dd has won if I do that. But then I worry that maybe she jsut isn't ready and it has nothing to do with power. DOes that make ANY sense??

MarsLady · 30/05/2006 13:26

It does, completely.

However, I think that now that you've started you've got to go for it. After all you said yourself, she knows what to do.

The DTs have decided that sleep is over rated. Great! So, I'll fold away the care mats for now.

Just how long can a 2 yo hold her bladder?

Hayls · 30/05/2006 13:30

Well in my dd's case yesterday the answer is 9 hours Shock(and my word it gushed when it did coe out!)

MarsLady · 30/05/2006 14:22

9 hours, my word. Then I won't worry about it till we reach 10 lol.

DT2 still doing well. No poos yet [gulp]

LadyCodofCOdford · 30/05/2006 14:49

jayls you cnat give up after ONE accident
fgs come oN

MarsLady · 30/05/2006 14:53

Okay, DT1 asleep on the couch so I popped a care mat under her.

DT2 had another miss, but he seems to know what to do. He sat himself down on the potty, then stood up to look and that was his miss, bless him.

Anyway, told him well done and gave him a sweet. Decided not to call my sisters. If he wants the whole show he needs to pee in the potty.

I'm knackered. All this chasing about after the DTs. They've never had so much attention.

MarsLady · 30/05/2006 16:06

Nothing!

Then I popped a care mat under the DTs whilst they were watching telly. (I know but DD1 is home alone and so the DTs quite like Hannah Montana now)...

DT1 couldn't hold it any longer and she said........"mummy pooey.... pooey mummy. Oh no!"

What a lot of pee those care mats can hold.

So, just waiting on the poos.

They are in the garden with their trackie bottoms and pants on. So, the waiting game again.

Is this really only day 2?

wanderingstar · 30/05/2006 16:08

I'm on day 3 of training ds3. After lots of little puddles on day 1, a wet poo in the pants (I cut them off and threw them away) yesterday, and a couple of accidents, he's getting the hang of it !! has kept pants and trousers dry all day. He doesn't nap anymore, but Wears a nappy at night. He gets a choc raisin and a sticker for performing in the potty, which makes him ridiculously happy. He's 2 + 5m.

MarsLady · 30/05/2006 16:09

Well done you and your DS.

I couldn't reward with chocolate raisins. I love them beyond all reason and they would be scoffed, by me, before the night nappy came off in the morning lol

wanderingstar · 30/05/2006 16:36

Thanks for your encouragement and hats off to you for following your dts about all day ! The other evening I thought I'd go mad because normally ds3 just mucks about with his 3 older siblings while i subject them all to my regime of benign neglect. But all this watching out for squiming, offering the potty, seeing his little willy so much more than usual, etc. etc. I thought I'd crack up !
Oh, and i need some more chocolate raisins. I can't resist them either...

MarsLady · 30/05/2006 17:19

I'm sure that DT1 thinks that this is a game.

Refusing point blank to use the potty or the toilet. No bribes work. Sweets, stickers, cake, biscuits........Grrrrrrrrr

She thinks it's fun to wee in her knickers and bring me clean ones. Sigh............

DT2 having a good time, though I'm worried he's gonna poo in the garden. Still better that than on the carpet.

dewmeadow · 30/05/2006 18:28

lots of successful wees and stickers, and just now - big dirty pants. Angry [despairing]

MarsLady · 30/05/2006 19:48

Okay, the wee beasties have gone to bed. There was I thinking that it was nice and quiet and that the tired wee angels were in bed. Oh no!!!!!!!!!

I went up because I knew that they hadn't pooed and I was just going to listen at the door. They were having a wonderful time.

Good job I have floorboards in their bedroom because in the centre of the room DT2 had left his calling card. Sigh.............

Still, he's doing well with the wee-ing, despite his final wee which was designed to show me that he didn't have to do it in the potty. He ran behind the couch to pee. Bless him [gritted teeth emoticon]

Oh and guess who put up a huge fight not to wear a nappy in bed? The little minx spent the day begging to have her nappy on and as soon as her wish was granted smiled at me and said "No mummy. Nappy all gone!" Grrrrrrrr

Anyway, have put them back to bed and await DT1's anguished.... "Pooey mummy. Pooey" Sigh...........

Tomorrow's another day. Trust the Cod (or send the DTs via courier to live with her)
