Cod, I loved your weddign cake thread!!Grin GrinShowed it to dh last night.

I have

Loads of Tescos pretty pants (15 in fact)

Wipes

a potty and a squidgy toilet seat thing

old trousers and jogging bottoms

a bag of snack size maltesers and chocolate buttons ( I also like these)

We tried on the knickers tonight before putting her nappy on at bed time. Just to set the tone for tomorrow. She is excited about wearing her pants.

I might do the next one...not this one though.

Or maybe I'll leave him till he leaves home?

MarsLady · 25/05/2006 23:13

Oh thank the Lord!

Coddy..... it's gonna be a twin thing. Ready to start when you are.... sooner rather than later.

Have got lots of pants for the boy. Will be getting some for the girl tomorrow.

Have written out the shopping list.

Happy to do the sweet bribe Grin Have matching potties (I don't think I could bear the taking turns at the toilet bit). Have large bottle of wine for me.

So, I'm all set! Let's go! Grin

hunkermunker · 25/05/2006 23:14

Marsy, haven't you done this three times already? I was hoping to ask you for advice! Wink Grin

MarsLady · 25/05/2006 23:15

Never with twins though Hinker!

Besides, I think I've forgotten everything I ever knew lol!

Pixiefish · 25/05/2006 23:31

I'm thinking of it but can't start till Monday so may have to just look back at the thread

Corkrebel · 25/05/2006 23:34

Can anyone join this booty camp, cos i'm training my ds about 3 1/2 weeks now and he'll go himself, both wees and poos when he's bottomless but when the undies go on I have to remind him. It's getting a bit frustrating to be honest because he just will not tell me when he needs to go! and i don't want to be a nag either!

MarsLady · 25/05/2006 23:55

Yup anyone can join Smile

NotAnOtter · 25/05/2006 23:58

Dont know about you cod but i am totally anti sweets ( i can be a fierce old bat!) but i alwats have a pot of choccy buttons in potty training week!

MrsDoolittle · 26/05/2006 10:59

MrsDoolittle · 26/05/2006 11:38

We are going every half hour - still no joy

cod · 26/05/2006 13:38

oh good work tho

MarsLady · 26/05/2006 13:56

are you ready to take on my DTs coddy?

MrsDoolittle · 26/05/2006 14:20

We have just discovered chicken pox. I have a very miserable toddler who just wants to be cuddled.
However, I have kept her in her pants and put her to bed with a care mat underneath her.
I'm sure it's too much to expect her to be dry after, but now we've started....

Hope this is the best course of action.

By the way she was telling me she wanted a wee last time I was posting on here. We didn't get on the potty in time Sad My fault

cod · 26/05/2006 15:02

you wicked mum
hmm potty training and cp ox?
mind you ds1 was right as rain throuhg all his

dewmeadow · 26/05/2006 15:23

my dd caught on to the peepee thing reletively quickly, but point blank refuses to poo in anything but her pants. I've had dirty pants efveryday for about 6 weeks and I am SICK OF IT Angry. I also wish I could click my fingers.

Any advice? PLease!! PLease!!

me too dew meadow.

poo every day in pants since mid april

seems scared of poo, gaaaah.
help

cod · 26/05/2006 17:18

yep p poo is rubbish
wonder if you need a star chart for wees - fglitterys tickers
take two off for each poo

robin3 · 26/05/2006 17:18

Can you tell when DD is going to poo?

DS was reticent about the pooing bit but fortunately I could always tell that it was happening and regardless of whether it was midway through (sorry) I'd put DS on potty and make an enormous fuss (chocolate, calling Daddy, Grandparents, dancing) about it. Even now (4 weeks on) we make a big fuss. DP's mother told me had to have enimas as a child because he refused to have a poo at all for days.

You've maybe already tried this. Must be very frustrating.

mazzystar · 26/05/2006 17:38

Ok ,I think my DS is still too little (19 months), but is telling me before he does a poo and during/after doing a wee. Do you reckon there is anything I should do to start to prepare him for the idea of potty training this summer?

Also cod you said you never used a potty - did you buy a training seat for the loo then? which ones are good?

mazzystar · 26/05/2006 17:39

Aha - jsut found another thread on the second question....
