And now DT2 has done a wee in his potty. Oh yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Grin

poppyh · 07/06/2006 20:30

The washing is getting lighter of load now, thank goodness.DD has NO wee accidents whatsoever now, and even held it on the way home from sainsburys today. Poo is a bit trickier, still having occasional poo in knickers.
Glad everyone else is doing well!

Bozza · 07/06/2006 20:37

We are not. DD still very resistant. Came home from nursery in same clothes that she went in but with several dirty pants and socks... Maybe she has been taking lessons from her brother and only wees standing up. Wink

Mars - how long is playgroup?

I am getting seriously worn down by DD. Am halfway tempted to give up...

Bozza dont give up!! Sounds like youve had a bad day, but keep trying.DD still pooing knickers, but know Ive got to keep it up!
By the end of June,we should be home and DRY!!Grin

Bozza · 07/06/2006 21:37

I think maybe part of my problem is coming to the thread later than the rest of you. Today was no worse than any of the others. She is not having loads of accidents (well a few) but just very limited successes.

LadyCodofCOdford · 07/06/2006 21:38

ok so so far so good?

Bozza · 07/06/2006 21:53

Cod how can I break DD?

MarsLady · 08/06/2006 10:56

Just keep going Bozza. That's all you can do. Tell yourself that the wet only lasts for a short time. You'll be fine.

Playgroup is only 2.5hrs, but the fact that they managed to come home dry was brilliant because it shows that their bladder control is getting better.

DT1 now asks for and runs for her potty, so I'm hoping that that's it (though the poo thing is the hardest to crack... still she'll get there). DT2 is now having limited success. I don't really think that potties are designed for boys... or it may just be that he likes his penis to be free because the last few times I've managed to get him to wee on his potty he's pee-ed over the top. Sigh.........

Onwards and upwards I say. Looking forward to a nappy free summer. Grin Now to study.

Marsy!

Hello.

Mwah!

Normsnockers · 08/06/2006 14:29

Aaaaaargh,

Three changes at nursery yesterday. We seem to be regressing.

Will see what tonight brings when I collect ds from nursery.

LadyCodofCOdford · 08/06/2006 16:26

bozza heo long have you been going for?
oi mars who is winnign?

Bozza · 08/06/2006 16:33

Since Friday cod. You see mars DD has that bladder control. On Sunday she went from 11 am until bedtime without an accident (although sneaking one into the naptime nappy). She's just not happy about going on the potty.

[smug emoticon] DT2 is currently winning. He wee-ed and poo-ed in his potty today with only one accident today. If she hadn't fallen asleep in the buggy on our way home from school DT1 would have been accident free. Just waiting on her poo.

LadyCodofCOdford · 08/06/2006 17:17

oh god friday is early days

Bozza · 08/06/2006 19:49

Well I am slightly Blush(given my whining) and quite proud to announce that DD had her first dry day today. However she still has an issue with going on the potty but an incredibly strong bladder. She went from before her nap at nursery (so 12ish and had dry nappy)through until 7.20 pm when in the bath without a wee. She then had to be got out of the bath twice for a wee and then a poo. But before bath we had half an hour in the garden with her desperate and dancing around but refusing to give in.

LadyCodofCOdford · 08/06/2006 19:50

arent ehy odd , kids

Bozza · 08/06/2006 19:58

Think we have a way to go yet but have stopped with the talk of giving up at least. Need another trip to the village shop in the a.m. to stock up on chocolate mice. Smile

Normsnockers · 09/06/2006 11:06

Just the usual poo episode at nursery yesterday (with accompanying wee)

Cannot seem to catch him right for a poo in the toilet or potty.

He used to poo at tea-time every day but now it is completely random as I think he is holding on.

Will spend Saturday watching him like a hawk to try and pick him up and run to the toilet even if I think he has already started doing a poo in his pants. I think this may be a messy process but I can't expect nursery to go this far I suppose.

MarsLady · 09/06/2006 12:36

So... the dancing continues as far as DT2 is concerned, but I think DT1 has read the thread because she took great delight in telling me that she needed the potty, started laughing and then showed me the trail of wee along the corridor. Sigh........... Cue very stern mummy look to which DT1 said... "Norty Mummy" Just can't win with these two lol.

Lovely day so far. Just popped in to make their sandwiches then they are off to playgroup (hoping for another dry day). No school pick up (praise God and Hallelujah)so back home to laze in the garden. Grin

MrsDoolittle · 09/06/2006 20:25

Thank you Cod.
Dd has been dry since last Friday, a week. She has asked the staff at her nursery to go to the loo and she has also been dry when she naps during the day in her pants.
No accidents yet so my fingers and toes are crossed!

Well done Ladies! Smile

julienetmum · 11/06/2006 22:54

I have a bit of a dilemma.

I began to potty train dd using the no nappy method but we gave up when she regressed when ds was born and he had huge feeding problems. we eventually cracked it whilst on holiday in the caravan.

At the time I was on maternity leave. Now I am back at work and ds is coming up to the training age (2 years 4 months).

However dh has said that he doesn't want the mess we had last time and he will insist ds is put in pull ups. (He has already bought them and started to use them despite the fact I use cloth nappies. Mil and my mum who are my childcare also used pull ups with dd and will I am sure with ds too.

How do I handle this?

wanderingstar · 12/06/2006 13:19

Well I think I'm really "there" now with ds3 Grin. Accidents are really rare, he asks for the loo or potty, and if he naps (stopped naps , but started again during this heatwave) he stays dry in his pants.

Phew ! Training him wasn't the most fun Bank Holiday weekend ever, but I now have one very proud little boy who's really chuffed with his drawer full of Mothercare "car" pants.

Well done to everyone in the same boat, and good luck everyone else.

notsoladyjess · 12/06/2006 20:34

not been around for a while but wanted to say w have now cracked it with ds1. every now and again we have a wee accident when he is having too much fun but generally he is sorted.

thanks cod. i really appreciate your words of wisdom!

good luck others.

poppyh · 12/06/2006 22:17

Well, DD is now completely dry during the day. But she is still pooing in her knickers. Im guessing this is quite common though, right? When I ask her she says she didnt know it was coming, but I know she does know! She has the odd day when she gets to the potty, but they are few and far between. Just trying to perservere as we have got so far now.Wink
