thanks normsnockers - don't know why I didn't think of it myself, he can't find anything by himself anyway despite me putting kids clothes/nappies/pj's/shoes etc in same place all the time ..but maybe that could be a whole new thread, though I bet has already been done a squillion times. will hide all tonight . and do you think 20 months is too little to be dry during nap time ? she naps for 2 1/2 hrs ??

MarsLady · 05/06/2006 16:22

Will see what I can sort out tonight and tomorrow. Will let you know Wednesday. Got a busy study week this week otherwise I'd invite you over for coffee. What about next week?

so you are just a sitting duck here Smile

mummydoc · 05/06/2006 17:19

cod - who are you and how many children have you potty trained , I am in awe DD potty trained by nursery staff by age 22 months and DD2 seems ot be doing it herself aged 20 months...i have just provided toilet seat and sweeties...

MrsDoolittle · 05/06/2006 20:37

mummydoc - I read that as dh was weeing his own pants!!!Grin

Bozza · 05/06/2006 21:38

Hmmm well DD has today had 1.5 accidents plus damp knickers by bathtime and 0.5 successes and a poo in her naptime nappy. And that is it all day. So 3 toilet episodes (inc naptime) between 7.30 and 7.30. So obviously a fair amount of control there. Got a mouse for the 0.5 success (where I grabbed her mid-wee and stuck her on the potty).

wanderingstar · 06/06/2006 09:13

Ds3 doing well here after a week and a day. No accidents at all for 4 days!
Off to nursery this morning; did a wee in their loo before I left him. Still needs reminding most of the time, but I've reached a point where I can take him out for an hour or two and if he doesn't like the look of the loo wherever we are, he'll manage to wait until we get home.

Proud mummyGrin

MarsLady · 06/06/2006 09:58

DT1 has started to ask for her potty now. Sometimes she'll still ask for knickers on, but she means potty.

DT2.... well as I maintain, he'll click suddenly. He's still wee-ing beside the potty and last night I had to poop scoop in the garden, but I'm a woman of hope. Sigh..........

Another lovely day. I reckon the DTs will be fully done by the end of this week.

Bozza · 06/06/2006 10:07

Mars - you sound very optimistic and quite chilled. I am relaxing in the office having passed the baton over to nursery - along with a huge bag of spare clothes. Do you think that 10 pairs of knickers, 7 pairs of socks, 5 skirts/dresses and 1 t-shirt should cover it? Actually I am most concerned about her doodles...

Normsnockers · 06/06/2006 10:08

Mars, your optimism is inspirational.

No accidents at all yesterday but no poos all day so that explains the miracle as poo = dirty & wet pants.

MarsLady · 06/06/2006 10:11

Bozza that sounds okay for just today... though I think you may need more for tomorrow. Wink

Normsnockers · 06/06/2006 10:14

Indeed, our washing machine was used every evening for a full load in the early days.

8 changes in one day was our maximum.

Bozza · 06/06/2006 10:15

Yes mars. It is the first day at nursery so I expect her to find it tricky. But bear in mind only 3 accidents yesterday and in same dress all day. I have deliberately put her in a fairly short pinafore dress (size 9-12 months!). I actually have 28 pairs of knickers for her in total so should be OK. Although she makes a big fuss for a minute dribble so has to be changed when DS would not have even noticed. Wink

MarsLady · 06/06/2006 10:48

My poor washing machine doesn't know what's hit it lol.

Have great days ladies. I'm sure they'll all be dry by the time they're 18!!!!!!!!!! Grin

MrsDoolittle · 06/06/2006 11:09

Keep going Mars - you are doing well.
I love the image in my mind of your little chap laughing at you behind his hands - he sounds so beautifully cheeky!!

Normsnockers · 06/06/2006 11:10

True, but at 26 weeks pregnant I have to be careful when I cough or sneeze, incontinence runs in the family at the moment !

mummydoc · 06/06/2006 11:29

Mrs Doolittle ..I do wonder ometimes , feel DH takes more parenting then kids put together, but heis generally dry unless really inebriated and then he has been known to hit his shoes or the bathroom carpet ...it was a really big thing in australia to put ping pong balls in the loo or potty for little boys to aim at ...i have girls so not much help for me but wondered if other mums of boys in uk do this ...? if it works might try it for DH...Smile

MarsLady · 06/06/2006 11:37

Once DT2 is trained I shall be putting a ping pong ball in each toilet. I shall mark it with a cross so that as he gets bigger he can aim for the cross and make the ball spin. (My life is so full!)

I will not be putting them in the loo before as the boy is liable to take them out and suck them..........ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

Bozza · 06/06/2006 11:41

Grin Mars. I am somewhat apprehensive about how DD is going on... But a break from it all is such a relief. Have admiration for you doing twins.

Normsnockers · 06/06/2006 13:06

How old do little boys have to be before they can pee into the standing up ? (presumably a step is still needed whilst there are a bit on the short side).

MarsLady · 06/06/2006 17:54

Can't remember what age. As soon as they are able to hold themselves over the loo I'd say.

Huge wees before playgroup today. DT1's in the potty, DT2's all down his trousers... sigh!!!!!!!!

Then of course DT1 carried the potty around all afternoon at playgroup and proceeded to wet herself. DT2... nothing!

Took them to watch DD2 play tennis. Chased them. Took them to and from the toilet (such a lovely game). Nothing! Came home, tried nothing! Then as soon as I decided to post the days events DT1 comes over, jumps up and down and wees all over the floor. Sigh............

Am sticking the address labels on now Coddy.

Bozza · 06/06/2006 20:19

DD came home from nursery with 4 nappy bags - 2 with just pants, 1 with pants and dress and 1 with pants, skirt and socks. We also got through 1 pair of pants at home plus one success. So will restock bag for morning.

MarsLady · 07/06/2006 15:57

Well blow me down and tickle me purple with a feather........ The DTs came home from playgroup in the same clothes that they left in. Despite being sat on the potty (willingly) 3 times they haven't done anything.

I've tried them since coming home and will try them again.

Maybe......... just maybe...............
