Ahoy procrastinators!

My next one is 19th February, how 'bout you?

Got my assignment back that I handed in in January.
Turns out I misunderstood the brief, but as we don't get to show anyone a rough draft I hadn't realised.
I scraped a pass. Proper harsh comments on my feedback but at least I don't have to do it again (but also a bit as I thought it was okay. Turns out 'breif description doesn't actually mean 'brief')
Then spent the rest of the day hearing about the last 2 essays I have to do, both of which I was super organised and had a brief for, and both of which have to be rewritten due to misunderstanding of what exactly is needed (not just me, loads of us got confused)[scream]

ilythia I'm dreading getting my last assignment back for the same reason-I fear I may have got the wrong end of the stick.

thanks guys, am waiting for another one to come back as well, which doesn't help.
luckily the ones I have done so far have been pass/fail and not graded, but with the last 2 they are graded, and if I don't get above a certain grade I am pretty much fucked.
What's annoying is that it's not a time thing, or a 'being able to write' thing, it's a research and reviewing thing. I just do NOT GET research, wtf am supposed to do?

i got an interview at porrtsmouth, well chuffed,also gave up hope!

thout id check back in, was doin well when isneezed coffee all over laptop and keys started sticking, was about 2/3 through essay. coulnt login to tma system so emailed what i had managed in hope i will get a pass.
bloddy tutor took pity and gave extension till tue,i half wish she hadnt, at least it was gone.

anyway just discovered an on screen keyboard on my laptop, so no excuses, guess what ill be doing with my friday night. child free aswell tonight.

well done to those finished on time.

i've postponed my phd app until next year, as dh has resigned and we will move this summer, depending on where his new job is... i think it will still be at the same place, but it means my app will be stronger as i'll have my msc results etc. wanted to get it in this year, but being sensible and not running before i can walk...

i've only got 6 weeks left at work and then i'm leaving to get my masters finished ft before august so you won't get rid of me then...

i am so chuffed for you! don't defer, just go for it - only natural to waver a bit, but this is how it is supposed to be!
study not going well - can't wait to finish work now i've made the decision. am supposed to be doing week on/ week off, but there are only three of us (instead of the four there are supposed to be) and one of the others has just found out that her mum has cancer, so has gone back to the uk to be with her through her chemo. so there are now two of us, and we have to have two in to open... goodness only knows what we're going to do if one of us is sick! anyway, i've been handing out application forms to anyone that looks remotely possible, so the manager has to make a decision this week, really (she's also off recuperating after surgery). i'll feel better once i know there's someone being trained. she does have a history of leaving these things waaaaay too late though. (last summer, the girl who went on mat leave was on her second day of training her replacement when she went into labour... on time. i think the manager just assumed she would keep her legs crossed until the two weeks ojt was complete!)

so, no, not much school work being done, really. i've sort of accepted that i'm going to have to live, eat, breathe it for four months . the only thing i'm doing is getting my last few interviews lined up for the dissertation element. as long as they are all done by easter, it'll be fine.

Next TMA for me is 11th Mar. Hardly started, but best mark so far for the last one, so that's a bit of a boost.

Oh, same old, same old...Essay due on Tuesday, still have loads to read etc etc...

In fact am off now to read the critics- have 60 pages on just Far From the Madding Crowd...and then there's Germinal...

When will I bloody learn? On the positive side, had a lovely and active weekend with DP and DD, got some admin done, some housework etc.

I'll join you in a March thread schroeder, March 10th here. Have done all the preparation but can't seem to actually start writing the stupid thing.

Now back to Wittenberg. I will submit this tma on Tuesday if it kills me.
