What shocks is the gigantic gap that there is between the 'real' KM and the KM the icon.
We are so used to her being just an image that we are all in disbelief mainly because she is alive.

A bit like when you hear David Beckham speak for the first time .

exactly pippi, perfect example!

yuppi! DS has 37.9... and dd wants to watch the incredibles with him, but in my arms... must go... always when it's just me here....

gio71 · 23/10/2009 17:58

gutted cant watch Kate Moss speak! Need to find on youtube!
Poor minipippi! Hope she is on mend soon. We went back to hospital today. Cortisone working and ds bit better BUT has to stay off school a full 7 days after his cough finishes. Cough shows no sign of being near end so I reckon at least another 2 weeks off school! Thank god I work from home!
Nonni over from UK . Mum already offered to do my ironing, I protested weakly, hopefully she will overrule that and do it!
at hospital today at seeing dp trying to accept the insistance from the obviously super qualified ped that ds goes out for a min of 2 hours a day even if it is raining for the next 2 weeks as part of his cure. Went against every fibre of his Roman being.

DemonBradleySlaysPippi · 23/10/2009 19:46

Gio a big for DH's fear of 'intemperie' and mum ironing.

JavierBardem · 23/10/2009 20:35

kate moss

this gives you sort of an idea..

JavierBardem · 23/10/2009 20:41

or this km

francaghostohollywood · 23/10/2009 20:53

Gosh, I'd really really like to go shopping in that Manhattan topshop .

Yes, I see what you mean. By the way, I don't know why, but that interview somehow reminded me of this

Gio, my mum has always managed to do my ironing whenever she came to visit in the Uk, no matter how strongly I refused.

I hope ds recovers soon. And lol at your dh!

JavierBardem · 23/10/2009 21:01

know what you mean about that topshop

lol, i see though why it reminded you of the km video.

DemonBradleySlaysPippi · 23/10/2009 21:04

Can I just say something? I hate top shop!

francaghostohollywood · 23/10/2009 21:05

I'd love to go to manhattan, it's been ages.

DemonBradleySlaysPippi · 23/10/2009 21:05

and that's got nothing to do with KM.

francaghostohollywood · 23/10/2009 21:06

Oh really? I haven't been for ages, but I used to find some real gems. I still get complinented for stuff I bought years ago

JavierBardem · 23/10/2009 21:10

Agree with franca, though haven't been there since putting on weight.

at a loss tonight...

Camomilla · 23/10/2009 21:12

gio, can't stop laughing at "Went against every fibre of his Roman being" glad ds is a bit better.

never been outside europe , DP's been promising to take me to SA, but he hasn't even managed Bath so far!mind you, we've always been so busy with rpoperties and no spare money, so...

I used to like topshop when I first came here, could always find something nice, but I think it's gone a bit too trashy and '80s for me (or maybe I'm too old for it now)... though their jeans are the only ones that fit me.

DemonBradleySlaysPippi · 23/10/2009 21:14

Really? I must admit I found a couple of things once I went at opening time. Otherwise is such a mess.

francaghostohollywood · 23/10/2009 21:17

Yes, it might have gone too 80s now. I liked it when it copied marc jacobs and Chloe . And there used to be always interesting shoes, even if the leather was very poor quality.

What do you mean with "at a loss tonight" jb? Is everything ok?

Camo, oh yes, the trip to SA. HAre you making plans for it? I'd love to go to SA

Camomilla · 23/10/2009 21:18

I hate messy shops, that's why I stopped going to H&M, just can't stand it

Camomilla · 23/10/2009 21:21

just watching have i got news for you, and they've just mentioned the GB webchat... no -one ever mentioned franca's question though

francaghostohollywood · 23/10/2009 21:23

Oh h&m I find it's going down a lot, at least here in milan!

Camomilla · 23/10/2009 21:25

well, the "holiday" tin has been emptied for bills etc... and I'd really want to go when it's summer there, so we'd have to take DS out from school, and I'd want to stay for at least a month, with all it'd cost. still hoping, but I doubt it'll be soon, and the nighbours are really P**ing me off, so house is a priority as soon as we decide WHERE we want to move seriously .

francaghostohollywood · 23/10/2009 21:28

Yes, I agree that house is deffo a priority. Sounds like you are really aching to move camo.
I'm sure you'll have plenty of time to go to SA in the next future!

I have to go now ladies, buona nottwe!

We need a new thread, who's starting it?

JavierBardem · 23/10/2009 21:29

at a loss, in the sense that i don't know what to do: read, tidy up, have a bath, or go to bed.

JavierBardem · 23/10/2009 21:35

cannot remember what is the issue with your neighbours?

DemonBradleySlaysPippi · 23/10/2009 21:42
