Gio - I do not mix meds with juice as juice is acidic (so more chance of an upset stomach). However, if she has had the meds before with no trouble then it should not be too much of a risk.

The best thing would be having it with food perhaps (unless you have been told to give it on an empty stomach, but I am pretty sure cortisone does not need to be taken between meals).

I wish I craved healthy food though - at the mo I fancy treacle tart. I do not even like that very much.

gio71 · 22/10/2009 16:55

Oh I never crave healthy foods! Except for the odd hot summer day. Love treacle tart!
He has been drinking juice and been ok so may be alright? He is also allowed milk so maybe mix with milk. My main concern is - is there anything that would render it less effective do you think. Last night was an ordeal to say the least , trying to get him to take with water

minervaitalica · 22/10/2009 17:21

From memory, no it should not - but then I only had it as an adult

gio71 · 22/10/2009 17:22

thanks Minerva
Will give it a go!

francaghostohollywood · 22/10/2009 19:00

Gio, I have no idea re the cortisone and juice. I'd say it is ok to mix. Or bribe him with chocolate

Minerva, yes, here in Milano girls play rugby too. I have a friend who played for yrs in a Rugby rosa team, but she was in her 20s. Nowadays I know girls ds's age who play in a mixed gender team

francaghostohollywood · 22/10/2009 19:02

Ah, and I too crave unhealthy food. Usually pane e salame. Which is not too unhealthy, is it?

Camomilla · 22/10/2009 21:12

posted earlier, but it's not here, oh, well...

anyway, went in to the office today, after having massive cough attack, probably not helped by the run to the station, but after the upteenth cough attack and the 4th person asking me if I really was well enough (probably 1- fed up by listening to me and 2- scared of catching it) I decided to come home at lunch. though I'd surprise DP, who wasn't best pleased as he'd just dropped off (I had no keys). now DS's been complaining of an earache...ah, roll on autumn and winter and bugs...

MI, poor you, hate gastro bugs, especially when you have LOs to look after...

as for cravings, maybe it's autumn, you know, animals stock up, and so do we! I had 1/3 of banoffee pie with espresso today , and I also have a couple of creme brulees in the fridge, ,without counting the cake I made the other day and the custard creames .....

maybe I should go buy those over the knee boots I saw the other day to stop me from putting weight on

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 22/10/2009 21:20

Just spent the evening watching Kate Moss speaking !!!

Camomilla · 22/10/2009 21:46

are you trying to punish yourself for the un-healthy eating Pippi?

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 22/10/2009 21:50

It is one of those weeks Camo.

Camomilla · 22/10/2009 21:53

well, there's question time soon, you'll probably burn some calories getting angry at what NG will say...

how's bigpippi?

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 23/10/2009 07:41

Shamefully I fell asleep during the news, so missed Question Time which both of us were so keen to watch. Will watch it this morning - some of the headlines already make my blood boil.

Bigpippi's gone back to school yesterday and seems to have fully recovered. Minipippi's got it now so the past two nights have been a yo-yo as her temp goes up to 39.5. She is so stoical (sp?) about it, you'd never know she's ill.

When I took her to school I have been told it was a 'strage' this week. Half year 1 was off and 10 children in Reception.

Camomilla · 23/10/2009 09:02

oh, poor minipippi, hopefully she'll get better soon (when DB was ill when he was little, he was still jumping/climbing/running with 39)

well, I watched it, though to me he was just ridiculous, I can see why they're talking about ganging up and bullying. they never really let him finish answering the questions, so obviously he was to come out like a "victim". very very very badly managed. plus they kept on pressing on because they were running out of time, so in the end, because he basically only answered/justified the "you said this"s, people will see him as "not that bad". Don't get me wrong he made me cough sooooooooo much because he made me laugh with his "aria da bonaccione", but to the people who doesn't know much about him/his politics, well, they'd probably woudn't think he's as bad as they thought.

JavierBardem · 23/10/2009 11:53

Sorry have not read latest posts, Damon's fault, totally gripped by programme showing K Moss.

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 23/10/2009 12:05

...

francaghostohollywood · 23/10/2009 12:14

Oh I can't watch it from here. What does she do? Tell me, tell me...

Sorry to hear about so many of you being so ill still... Camo, how's your cough today?

We need to meet somewhere warm. Shall we all escape to Zanzibar or something?

JavierBardem · 23/10/2009 12:21

She does nothing, except talk.

DemonBradleySlaysPippi · 23/10/2009 12:22

Trust me it is better to keep in your head the image of a mute KM.

francaghostohollywood · 23/10/2009 12:29

Oh no, tell me, what does she say?
Perhaps you might convince me in disliking her...

francaghostohollywood · 23/10/2009 12:29

to dislike her, of course

DemonBradleySlaysPippi · 23/10/2009 12:45

It is a documentary about her famous hairdresser friend opening his first salon. She is heloing him with things and chatting away.

Would you be disapppointed? Boh. She comes across very normal which doesn't go that well with the iconic image of her but she might make a good fun friend I guess.

francaghostohollywood · 23/10/2009 12:55

Everyone seems to dislike her. I like her, in that I don't find her obnoxious like I find most celebrities

No, it wouldn't disappoint me if she seemed normal.

JavierBardem · 23/10/2009 15:13

She is just the typical blond eastend girl, I was in Saynsbo before and there were loads of them! You imagine her beautiful, sophisticated, refined, and actually she is just a fake blond working class girl with a big mouth, really naff. Really odd as her image is soo iconic.

JavierBardem · 23/10/2009 15:14

oh, i don't dislike her, it is just that KM is an image, and of course she is.

JavierBardem · 23/10/2009 15:20

Does anybody remmeber the trout recipe that was given out a few weeks ago?

Going back to KM I feel stupid for feeling so shocked, she is basically a good working class girl who has done for herself, good for her.
