Hi my ds is 13m and i find it so hard buying nice things for him. Of course he has got a few bits from mothercare, next, marks and spencers and asda but occasionally i would like him to wear something different. These places never seem to offer anything different, they offer babies acting as old men in shirts and ripped jeans.
There are a few children shops near me and i just can't resist it. For ds first birthday he wore an adorable miniman outfit that was expensive but he looked beautiful.
What do you all think about designer baby clothes?

I was trying to be lighthearted HMC! Failing terribly it seems.
I was being facetious... as in we are typing these posts expressing our disapproval.... yet in reality I could be sitting here fully clad, head to toe in designer gear!! And ds and dd could be Burberry King and Queen. So Loulabelle222 - Lighten up.... I was not taking myself seriously with that post!! Just my humour.

...ooops just read Lockets post... I have DKNY watch on at the mo... didn't realise that was Designer. I take it all back... Designer gear all the way!

loulabelle222 · 17/05/2005 10:54

god aloha don't take it to heart, nothing was meant personally. I'm sure loads of mums dress their boys in tanktops, it was more the tanktop/knickerbocker combo that was too Lord Fauntleroy for me - even you haven't gone that far yet

dropinthe · 17/05/2005 11:02

I would like to finalise this thread by saying...

"Different strokes for different folks"..

Enid · 17/05/2005 11:03

dropinthe · 17/05/2005 11:04

handlemecarefully · 17/05/2005 11:04

JoolsToo · 17/05/2005 11:06

this - I remember when GDG was little - I always but sensible colours - you know - wouldn't show the muck but then I went really wild one day and bought her a little white anorak jacket - cos I liked it and thought sod the muck - sometimes you just have to throw caution to the wind and be frivolous

JoolsToo · 17/05/2005 11:06

but? bought!

dropinthe · 17/05/2005 11:06

I know.....what about.............
"If people had unlimited amounts of money would you dress your children in designer clothes?"

That should sort the flotsam from the jetsam, shouldn't it???

dropinthe · 17/05/2005 11:07
