francagoestohollywood · 11/05/2009 21:44

Oh shame Brange. Well the movies were hideous, but he was .... [sighs]
Antother website www.metroretro.co.uk/ [ www.take-me-home.co.uk/ and another]] I expect you know baileys

francagoestohollywood · 11/05/2009 21:46

i meant this

Oh I seriously love the midwifery diagram. And the maps

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 11/05/2009 21:47

macche reading dh is on the comp obsessing with tools.

later he's back!

Brangelina · 11/05/2009 21:48

McC they look like the pictures that were on the wall of my gynae. You could always make them a feature of a wall, like in the hallway. that would scare off cold callers!

McCloudismynewnameforawhile · 11/05/2009 21:49

yes, love the maps too!
off to bed girls, have bookmarked the lot, need to relax as all this has really agitated me.

damon, fancy a trip to retroviius or whatever is called?

McCloudismynewnameforawhile · 11/05/2009 21:52

lol, at pics of your ginecologo!
i think they are beautiful/beautiful, but may have something to do with recently having had a baby..
lol at scaring cold callers, tbh a pic like that might be a real turn on for the weirdos who live in my street.

McCloudismynewnameforawhile · 11/05/2009 21:56

who hang out in my street, normal boring people live in my street..

Brangelina · 11/05/2009 21:58

I think I could have watched the films quite happily with the sound off.

That last one you linked was good. It's amazing that yesterday's bric a brac is today's vintage. I bought a dodgy table round the corner from Green St for a fiver many years ago and I swear it's the twin of one on the vintage retro site. I should have held onto it (and maybe shouldn't have painted it black!).

Brangelina · 11/05/2009 22:00

Well, we have tossici who hang out here. Not that I've ever seen any, I've just been told that there are. They're probably hiding behind the trees.

francagoestohollywood · 11/05/2009 22:01

No! You can't watch them with the sound off, as he has a nice voice. I suppose you can turn the volume off when he is not inquadrato...

My parents left a beautiful Brionvega radio/33 giri thing in a flat they sold, and it is now worth £££

Brangelina · 11/05/2009 22:10

Ah the Brionvega. Dp's sold loads of the radio/TV cubes. They're worth loads now.

What's really interesting is if you look at the toys section on ebay sometimes it's really interesting, you see stuff that we played with (well me maybe, you're not that old!) that is now worth loads. I have an original 60s doll's house, complete with nylon carpet and 60s retro furniture. I really should sell it, or at least get DP to take a look and show it to his friends in "the trade" I'd be interested to know how much it was worth. shame my mum can't find it in the chaos that is her loft.

francagoestohollywood · 11/05/2009 22:14

this one

Brangelina · 11/05/2009 22:16

Wow, that is cool. Those are really quite rare too. What a shame!

francagoestohollywood · 11/05/2009 22:23

Yes, it'd have looked good in my flat (no space thpugh!)

Off to bed, notte!

Brangelina · 11/05/2009 22:33

Me too, 'notte!

McCloudismynewnameforawhile · 12/05/2009 10:41

gone off the midwifery diagram this am...

Penthesileia · 12/05/2009 10:47

LOL.

I would get anxious about the babies in the "wrong" positions; and that poor woman face down like that!

I am quite p'ed off with DH at the moment (only in a mild, passive-aggressive type of way). He is useless with money, and happily spends all of his, and some of mine too , without even thinking (on what he collects). Most of the time, I don't care or notice; but at the moment, I'm feeling a bit short-changed, and am thinking of buying an expensive bag to mark the end of my ML and my soon to be going back to work-ness. But I would only be compounding our money problems, I suppose. Grrrrr. So annoying.

quick question: can i give liver to 8 months old?

Penthesileia · 12/05/2009 10:49

I'm ticked off, I should point out, because 99% of the time, I am able to buy what I want, when I want - so usually I can subsidise his spending, and don't really mind (for reasons too complex and diverse to divulge here!). But on the occasion when I want to really splash out on something very frivolous for me, I usually don't, because I feel we can't afford it, because of his inability to be restrained in a similar way. And it irritates me.

Penthesileia · 12/05/2009 10:50

No idea... How long can you wait to find out? I could rummage for my BLW book which is quite good on what you can give babies to eat. I suppose the thing that might be a problem is too much Vitamin A, or something....

OP posts:
McCloudismynewnameforawhile · 12/05/2009 11:01

What does your dh spend him money on? Is he the dh who is into cashmere big time?

The vit a was my concern, I suppose i can give her a fried egg for lunch with some greens......

McCloudismynewnameforawhile · 12/05/2009 11:04

anyone read Why love matters? by the psychotherapist with the foreign sounding name?

Penthesileia · 12/05/2009 11:05

Books. In serious numbers. The major reason we're moving is to house "our" library of about 10,000+ books. Many rare & antiquarian.

Actually, it's a fucking nightmare, if I'm honest!

And yes, everything else has to be top quality too...

If you can wait 1/2 an hour or so, I could look for the BLW book and see if it has anything on liver.

OP posts:
Penthesileia · 12/05/2009 11:06

Yes, I've read it. I made me a dribbling wreck and is probably the one reason why I don't insist DD goes to nursery next year and instead go along with DH's insistence that we get a nanny!
