We have a busy week here too. This pm I have the meeting at scuola materna, I'm working 2 mornings and 1 afternoon this week, and both the dc have the annual gita.
I also want to find ds a school club for september, as school is starting on the 14 this year.

Its the settimana for the gite as most of the schools seem to be going Dh suggested Gardaland next week but I think it will be too much for minirosa as it was hot hot last year and she gets stroppy if in her buggy too much . It would mean me basiaclly following them round standing with the bags etc but not sure that dh could do a full day alone with her he is just not organised enough !

took dd1 to dermatologist this mroning for awful awful eczema... she says i have to bandage her up every night

I've done the saline drops but doesn't really make much difference, steam in the shower too. she's not too bad during the day, but even with the mattress raised as soon as she goes to sleep at night that's when it gets really bad. think she has same tickly cough I have

MM poor dd and you. Is it a big patch?

Camo don;t think you made it worse. 99% it is always nothing. While I do not take them with temp I tend to go when cough for a while because of the pneumonia or bronchilitis etc risk plus dh being obsessed. Friend in italy almost died of pneumonia at 20 - she hardly had any symptoms. I'm sure it's allright. They always cough a lot in the evening don;t day. dd2 has been absolutely fine all day. I bet you this evening she'll struggle to sleep again.

Mystic have you tried those cotton tops with mits in them - a friend has them for her ds ( now almost 4) and they are magic on his skin he can't scratch and the cotton does not irritate him in any way.
He has it pretty bad
Poor dd must be so irritating - hope she grow out of it.
Just been trying to use dh maestro card and it won't get accepted its in a Uk account and takes ages for us to get it sorted again as it needs me to start talking then to hand it over as they won't talk to me ! Arrhgggghhhh

camo, dd's cough was worse at night , bur also during the day. if only at night it makes me think it is the muco trickling down...dp steams her by putting her face on a bowl with hot water, under a towel..awful screaming but then all teh snot comes out...it sounds viral...dd's cough has gone during the day...but took ages...good luck..

mm, my stomack lurched when you said you have to fasciare your girl, is the eczema contained to one particular area? the sea does miracles to my tiny patch...it must be very distressing for you...

MM, feel your pain, my sister had it really bad, got better with age, but now she's started phototherapy which seems to be the best thing (though not cheap with new ricette...)

yes. childminder told me today dd1 can go there for free sometimes as she always always so good and plays with the other girl! (dalai lama theme again). she did not say the same about dd2 .

Have been to the meeting at scuola materna, where they explained what they did in dd's class after Christmas. I'm so impressed. I wanted to go and kiss the teachers on the cheeks. It is just heartwarming to see people still so passionate about their job.

Camo, many friends of mine swear on aerosol for coughing. They def tend to cough more at night than during the day.

yes its so awful and she also has to wear cotton gloves at night it's really bad though, everywhere, she scratches till she bleeds, and it keeps her (us) awake at night. if you saw her hands you'd cry (i do...)

i am going to try and make it into a game, put our local pharmacist on the case of finding some fascie colorate, dermatologist told me they exist but hard to find- luckily she's a smart cookie this tiny little pharmacist, no boots retards (sorry, i hate them so much, they always manage to mess up the most basic prescriptions)...

Rosa i am going to get some of those tops you mention, doctor told me about them, and i have ordered fromt hat company before it is the most amazing cotton.

i think eczema on one's own little daughter is enormous in the big scheme of things, so feel free to self-indulge! does your other dd have it?

MM, do you know any nice 2nd hand furniture shop?

well we got a really nice sideboard from camden stables, there's some really good stuff there. more modernariato type thing though (ours is a scandinavian 70's thing and unmistakeably so, but we like that!). or there's all the auction places in chelsea (world's end i think)
