Brange you are right, the ladies on my running thread are a bit strange. I am sure my weight fell off when i last run regularly...not sure i am eating more regularly, i am on my 3rd crostatina on the day...sob.

Not sure at what time we are meeting, but i guess it will pmish once the francafamily has done the nhm.

I am going to change my name to McCloud to celebrate all these house purchaces.

McCloudismynewnameforawhile · 31/03/2009 19:02

Done! Where is the builder?

francagoestohollywood · 31/03/2009 19:17

The builder's run away with the deposit money.
It's raining and the roof is not up yet
The plumber's injured a thumb trying to fix the state of the art bidet
There are massive delays in the delivery of the over sized glass windows
Tom and Fiona do not speak the language.

Omigod Kevin heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!

Btw, I forgot to say that I got to watch "no country for old men" on sky over the weekend. I so enjoyed it. ANd javier is gorgeous even as a psycho killer. Even with that hairdo.

Rosa · 31/03/2009 19:18

I told you I met him diddn't I ?????
I might have to join Kevins running thread but FGS I walk miles here and do minimum 80 steps a day lugging a pram - not enough!
Sputnik - I cant find a fat clothes seller in Italy that does 24 hr stuff .
I have tried Oviesse, and H&M ( too small)Been to COIn and can't afford Marina Rinaldi. It was a Uk site as I have changed shape I have a HUGE backside - no joke and even dh said no thats too tight , it looks rubbish, no way. So it will be jeans for me unless I manage to do a miracle but I don't know what to do.

beforesunrise · 31/03/2009 19:20

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 31/03/2009 19:48

BS will email you for the facepainter number now.

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 31/03/2009 19:52

Kevin I know you are busy but you should reply to your fan-mail

(read this post with Eminem 'stan' as a background soundtrack!)

francagoestohollywood · 31/03/2009 20:06

BS, the sputniks are buying a flat in Rome

Yes, Kevin where the hell are you? The restoration is 12 months late and is running 246.800 pounds over budget. It is serious, and all you do is wasting time designing lamps.

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 31/03/2009 20:18

my dd started saying she's not tired at bedtime and calls us up. problem is she's trying not to suck her thumb like dentist told her and so it's difficult for her to fall asleep. what would you do? let her read some book there on her own (she's happy to do this) till she's tired and she puts herself to bed. or be strict and make her sleep?

McCloudismynewnameforawhile · 31/03/2009 20:25

Oh,i love it when Kevin says: Abigail and Jerry do not speak the language and they want to manage the project tehmselves. Lol. Then by the end of the episode you see Kevin chatting away in French or Italian to the locals.

francagoestohollywood · 31/03/2009 20:25

Has she got something she can substitute the thumb with? A cuddly toy?
I'd let her read a little bit. Do you put her to bed at those insanely uk early hrs?

francagoestohollywood · 31/03/2009 20:26

lol, yes and then, disaster strikes

McCloudismynewnameforawhile · 31/03/2009 20:27

would tell her now she is a big girl she can have 5 mins with a book and then sleep....maybe put her to bed a bit earlier if you worry she will not sleep enough and be cranky in the am.

gio71 · 31/03/2009 20:29

quick fleeting post to say congratulations on house purchase Sputnik and Penthe- (penthe house is amazing!!!)
And I hope exercise alone can make you thin because I am doing Coleens Disco Burn DVD 3 times a week from now on and am expecting to become skinny by that alone as can't give up cake, cornetti, cheese, pasta etc etc
I love clock change, have started to finish work, meet DP from metro and then take ds for a play in park. Feel like have more in my life than bloody work and cooking now evenings are already lighter longer!

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 31/03/2009 20:29

yes I do now as it works for her and the family. she's tired but understandably not sucking her thumb keeps her awake and her mind starts wondering and then she calls us. she doesnlt do cuddly toys in bed much but I'll try. I told her she cannot come down as it's bedtime but she can read a bit then switch the light off and go to bed. it worked in the past, will see.

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 31/03/2009 20:34

today she went to bed a bit later upstairs at 7.30 bed at 8 after teeth and storytime because she slept in the aft which she never does. I think it's a bit of an aprile dolce dormire thing and also lots of excitement recently. normally is 7.

francagoestohollywood · 31/03/2009 20:40

Is she asleep now? How long is she awake from switching on the lights?
It might take her a bit of time to get use to fall asleep without the thumb, it is a big change.

francagoestohollywood · 31/03/2009 20:41

used.

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 31/03/2009 20:51

she started reading at 20.15. DH had to go and see her once since then at 20.30 prob. then I don't know what's going on now as I don't want to go and check now as I might wake her up or make her start again. I suppose she's gone to sleep.will check at 9.
yes it will take a while. It's hard because she's been so good about it in that she is really trying to stop the habit without us pushing too much. so I don;t want to penalize her for it by punish her is she cannot fall asleep. at the same time I don't want to start an habit of coming downstairs with us in the evening etc.

I heard her crying now... grrrrrrrrrrrrr

francagoestohollywood · 31/03/2009 20:59

Oh no poor dd .
Tis a difficult one, isn't it? I agree about not starting a habit of going downstairs after bedtime, and at the same time you can't penalize her if she cannot fall asleep.

Report back.

francagoestohollywood · 31/03/2009 21:00

sorry sounds harsh, I meant come and tell us if she's stopped crying, poor minipippi

Sputnik · 31/03/2009 21:01

Ah poor thing, sounds like she is being really good over stopping the thumb thing. I would let her read a bit and maybe use a little strategic bribery to encourage her not to call down to you while she going through this transition. Try not to let her sleep in the afternoon as it probably isn't helping, but I'm sure you know that.

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 31/03/2009 21:11

poverina already battling with addiction at 3yo.

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 31/03/2009 21:12

francagoestohollywood · 31/03/2009 21:14
