Ciao, hello, welcome!

OP posts:
DamonBradleylovesPippi · 25/03/2009 11:04

ummm dd2's poos all all colours of the rainbow but you're right I have not seen a green one since BF. so no idea. sorry to be such little help. I'm useless in the medicine dept. (see varicella/morbillo chapter).

how are you btw?

francagoestohollywood · 25/03/2009 12:47

Sorry I disappeared last night, my connection has been really dodgy lately.

Sunflower, you sound busy

Dh's been working from home a lot since we moved to Italy, as he hasn't got a proper "office" at University, like he did in the UK. So he's around at least 2 days a week.
He shares the school runs (as he's always done), but if I need additional childcare (like when I take one of them to the swimming pool) I usually ask my mother or my aunt or my friend who lives round the corner, as he prefers to work at least until 6 o'clock.
It's nice having him around, but tbh, quite useless . And I like my space.

Gio, Rosa is the green poo expert! I guess that if he had temp, the green poos are a sign of some sort of virus? I'd probably ring the paed (italian emoticon )

gio71 · 25/03/2009 13:19

lol at varicella/morbillo chapter Pippi.
we rang paed yesterday before green po started and said was ......virus (dp not happy )
will see if green poo continues before calling again.
I am soooo tired, ds been sleeping in our bed with not being well and has been awake for 3 nights now, how did I cope with sleepless nights when he was tiny??
Another variation on working mums /stay at home thread happening I noticed, this time under guise of - can employer ask when you are going to return. Just been some remark about people being jobsworths by not being committed to returning to work at a specified time from what I can gather. Nice!

Rosa · 25/03/2009 13:19

YOu guys I turn off at night just as you turn up !!!
I am waiting for minirosas poo results - GIo the doc thought it was a virus and gave us a stronger entrogermina - It was called reo flor. SHe then had a few red spots and red cheeks so they thought it could have been slapped cheek or the 5a malatia but she is a bit yourng to get that . I would check with your doc though as Franca said - especially if they continue as its a sign that something is not right.
DH not round here and I have a ton of things to do but as you can see I am doing lots !
I have put the heating on I am cold !

francagoestohollywood · 25/03/2009 13:39

Yes, the weather has been weird, warm/cold... lots of colpi d'aria I must say!

I worked this morning, but I'm now enjoying 2 hrs of unexpected freedom, as mum offered to take dd to her swimming lessons!
Have done/hung a lavatrice and dusted the wardrobe . How stepfrody is that? eh? And I also have to fill 2 plastic box I recently bought at ikea of old clothes. Envious, anyone?

francagoestohollywood · 25/03/2009 13:40

apologies for very italianized english!

Rosa · 25/03/2009 13:45

Nah - I filled 4 about 3 weeks ago. They are superb and I want more..so I can put them under our bed as well ! i Also have those hoover storage bags - the ones that suck all the air out and I need to get them up and into the wardrobe but need dh as they are bloomin heavy !

francagoestohollywood · 25/03/2009 13:49

Damn, you beat me!!!

I was over the moon last yr when I bought those hoover storage bag, but after a while they start to inflate back...

I lifted some heavy (2 kilos ) weighs at the gym on monday, in the vague hope to tone my arms (dream on) and now my left arm, hurt so much, I can keep it straight . I hate bloody palestre.

gio71 · 25/03/2009 13:49

oo rosa i was looking at those hoover bag things on lakeland website this morn (sad)- are they any good and if so where can you buy them in Italy?

francagoestohollywood · 25/03/2009 13:50

sorry, my commas are all over the place

Rosa · 25/03/2009 13:54

I think my dh got them in an Euro shop or similar 2 have been fine but one already inflates back !! If you can get all the clothes in evenly they really do not take up much space - I was thinking of using them possibly for packing this summer as I might be able to get more in the case - I have 40kg just not sure if I can manage 2 cases , 2 buggies and 2 children !
Franca you have to suffer to be beautiful !!

Brangelina · 25/03/2009 13:56

Oh those vacuum pack bags? I've seen them advertised on Mediashopping, plus I'm sure I've seen them in a hop somewhere. My friend got some a couple of years ago but one sprung a leak, expanded suddenly and leapt out of her wardrobe at night. How she didnìt have a heart attack I don't know!

Are green poos in older children a sign of illness then? I just thought they meant lots of spinach for dinner the day before. I am a crap mum.

Brangelina · 25/03/2009 13:58

I'm glad I don't have DP at home all day. I wouldn't be able to mn for a start. I'd probably just escape to the office all the time.

Rosa · 25/03/2009 14:00

You watch media shopping?
Are you a secret shopping tv watcher ...DO you have a miracle blade knife set ????

francagoestohollywood · 25/03/2009 14:02

Well yes, they mean lots of spinach at dinner, if indeed they had spinach for dinner ... boh!

Yes, I don't want anyone getting in the way when I feel like some MN time. Or watching Scamy on youtube of course

Sputnik · 25/03/2009 14:02

I've have loads of those hoover bag things and they all reflated eventually. You can get them in those big shops that sell everything (helpful). I would expect more of Lakeland ones though.

I went to have a chat today with the shop here that sells stuff for you on ebay, as I have been saying for years I'll ebay xy and z but never get round to it. Going to give them a few things and see how it goes.

No idea on the poo I'm afraid, I am very wait and see with these things usually.

Brangelina · 25/03/2009 14:03

No, but DP does. I'm surprised he hasn't bought anything yet. Probably restrained himself because of the Berlusconi connotations, otherwise I'm sure we'd have a houseful of abs recliners, magnetic knife stands and strange things you pump up.

Brangelina · 25/03/2009 14:04

Ah well I'd always supposed she'd eaten spinach at school if she hadn't had any for dinner. I must be more vigilant.

francagoestohollywood · 25/03/2009 14:05

LOL at miracle blade knife.

In my youth I watched many shopping programs. I mean Wanna Marchi was hilarious when she started off. And then there was Roberto il Baffo, the other guy with the erre moscia selling SM gioielli Valenza, another guy with salt and pepper long hair selling antique paintings... priceless! In fact one of the best personaggi invented by Corrado Guzzanti was the tv art seller...

Brangelina · 25/03/2009 14:08

OMG Franca, you know them all! I'm sure DP knows quite a few from the 80s, don't know about modern day ones. Maybe you two could have a shopping channel challenge.

Sputnik · 25/03/2009 14:08

I must say my life has been revolutionised now DD takes care of her own poo, and cleaning her bum and everything. She doesn't even tell me she's off to poo sometimes . This is the girl who once had major pooing issues.

Ah well, 1 down, 1 to go

francagoestohollywood · 25/03/2009 14:08

here Corrado Guzzanti critico d'arte per teleproboscide. Love him!

Sputnik · 25/03/2009 14:09

The machines for wobbling your bottom were the best.

francagoestohollywood · 25/03/2009 14:10

No, I don't know the modern ones, I'm stuck to the 80s, early 90s at the latest!

Brangelina · 25/03/2009 14:12

Ah well then you should have that challenge!

Prize for the winner is a bottom wobbler wth inbuilt magnetic knife stand for those retractables blades.

I will bring popcorn.
