Ciao, hello, welcome!

OP posts:
francagoestohollywood · 24/03/2009 12:54

Read the post, you were really reasonable . Well said, btw

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 24/03/2009 12:56

how did it happen that I posted the same thing twice?? boh.

francagoestohollywood · 24/03/2009 13:02

Oh god, I posted again on the damned thread.

Rosa · 24/03/2009 13:22

Sorry I vanished last night but minirosa woke up demanding food. DH had yes moved everything over to my side including his iphone and copy of focus. SO seeing as he had to pick her up as I was shutting things down and making her top up ( I have a mega sore right boob) I then turned on the tv and watched James Bond whilst feeding her .
He is feeling better today but not well enough to do the washing up ! Minirosa is becoming very demanding I think growth spurt. I sorted out the bonboniere and we are going to do an Oxfam donation - buy a goat or a chicken or something in the name of some of my family members and have bought tasteless dust collectors delightful silver objects for his side !

francagoestohollywood · 24/03/2009 13:25

rosa at the dust collectrs

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 24/03/2009 13:41

yep rosa I'm totally with you re tasteless dust collectors delightful silver objects.
for our wedding we did a miniframed poem. the charity donation is however the best thing. How ridicoluos are this 'non si fa' mentality. no one wants the tasteless dust collectors delightful silver objects and yet everyone insists on having them. same with weddings. everybody hates going to those mega ones and yet it seems the thing to do.
best compliment re our wedding: 'il piu' bel matrimonio...non sembrava proprio un matrimonio'

Rosa · 24/03/2009 14:39

For our weddings as we had one in the Uk and one here we had glass bottle stoppers made by a friend so IMO practical ! I made up all the bags and ribbons etc and to be honest when I get them here I take them apart and use the ribbons on dd hair !!
Both our weddinsg were a riot as we took the best bits out of Italian and the Uk weddings and mixed it . In the Uk they still refer to 'The Italian Wedding'!! I would do them again domani ..APart from I would have to loose 20kg to get in the dress !

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 24/03/2009 14:43

i'd do them again domani too.

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 24/03/2009 15:19

never done them... maybe next year. we keep on postponing for one thing or the other... guess the trip to SA is also going to be postponed next year...

don't mind practical things - my friends did a really nice vase as bomboniera, plus I got a gucci watch for being the testimone, the other testimone got a printer as she needed it!! we'll definetly never forget that wedding!

right, better hang the washing before DP comes back with the two monsters kids

francagoestohollywood · 24/03/2009 15:50

what's SA?

viggoandjavier · 24/03/2009 16:20

francagoestohollywood · 24/03/2009 16:31

ahhhhhhhhhhhh.

Should have taken ds to swimming lesson, but he's got a bit of diarrea. Boh. Seems cheerful enough, though

viggoandjavier · 24/03/2009 20:58

il tempo delle mele, anyone?

francagoestohollywood · 24/03/2009 21:08

ohhhhhhhhh sophie marceau was beautiful, wasn't she?

My connection is super slow tonight

viggoandjavier · 24/03/2009 21:10

she is not dead, is she?
i had the same haircut at that age, of course i looked crap...

francagoestohollywood · 24/03/2009 21:16

No, no, she is not. I meant she was a very beautiful teenager.
I had a similar haircut, but I looked crap as well. Imagine how gonfio my hair could get with a similar style.

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 24/03/2009 21:18

she look almost identical now.

i wish I had a nonna like that!

off to watch holloway.

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 24/03/2009 21:19

i didn't have that hair cut but I looked crap anyway!

francagoestohollywood · 24/03/2009 21:24

I was a very pretty child and something went terribly wrong when I reached puberty, say 12/13 onwards.
The scogliosi. The baffo. Stretch marks. Puppy fat. And a long series of misguided haircuts. I insisted on having a fringe ffs! The hairdresser name, I will never forget, it was "sciortino" !!!!

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 24/03/2009 21:24

yes, south africa to see some friends... DS has been telling everyone that he's going to africa when he's 6 since he was 3 yo!

OP posts:
francagoestohollywood · 24/03/2009 21:26

Oh bless him! I didn't realized you were planing to go to SA. Must be so beautiful.
How are things sunflower, is your dh settled at home?

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 24/03/2009 22:07

ok, thanks for asking franca. haven't done anything I wanted to so far, between being ill and sorting out paperwork, job centre meetings etc. should have me time tomorrow (by that I mean sorting out too-small clothes and putting away washing!).he's getting a bit under my feet already, but hopefully the weather will get better and so he can start on the doors (still haven't been stained since we moved 7 years ago!!). plus he's one of those people that get stressed for no reason, run around like headless chickens and not sure what he's actually done IYKWIM . but needless to say DS looooooooooooves having daddy to take him to/pich him up from school. I think once I've sorted this casino house, we'll both feel happier, especially once we manage to sell some stuff and have a bit of money

OP posts:
DamonBradleylovesPippi · 25/03/2009 09:22

sunflower I a bit jealous of those of you who have your dh at home during the day.
when you find a way to sort out casino house please let me know. nothing works here.

gio71 · 25/03/2009 10:55
