Morning everyone
Just received a copy of DS1's Disney commercials he did, is really funny seeing him on tv and having words to say too! lol

DS1 has a tv casting on Wednesday, anyone else got anything coming up? We have officially had a whole week off from a casting now and I have really enjoyed it!!

Agency rang - Tomy like lo but they are filming in Leicester and expected us to to got to LEICESTER from London (about 400 miles) and give us only £30 towards travel! I think not!!

well we got on well today, and I survived my first audition! DS4 was fab, and took it all in his stride which was a relief. Not sure when we'll hear, but I'm sure they said the shoot was Thursday..

hellfireanddamnation - we don't get travel expenses if its in London, so its a gamble everytime. Can't believe that you were only offered £30 for travel!

Just for the hell of it looked on trainline and the journey was shorter than I thought about an hour and a half but add an hour for getting to the station so hey at least 5 hours travelling with an 11 month old what fun! Joy. Cost £99! Cheaper for off peak but that would never be it would it?! Even if it was you have to have a decent amount of notice to book and we all know that wouldn't be the case AND it's still £44! Cheek of it!

Is everyone on netmums now?? This has gone so quiet!

Glad the casting went Ok.
Yes you normally get a set casting fee which probably won't cover expenses. you do not tend to get a fee for tv or film work. Sw normally tell you what it is when they phone and it is normally in their email to confirm details.

HellFireandDamnation - you may find its cheaper to buy a family travel card, you get a third off travel after 9am. i used to pay for my 4 year old as a child as it worked out cheaper than putting her as an infant as you need a minimum of 1 adult and 1 child for discount. how old is your lo again? did tomy just pick from photo or did you go for a casting? sorry the distance is too far

Hiya- I'm lookingfor a wee bit of advice, my son has his first casting in a few weeks. He's 19 months, its for a high street store.

Any tips, do's/donts etc would be greatly appreciated.

I think we should start this thread up again in the new year.. netmums is very nice but takes ages to read through and not purely about modelling.
Maybe when we are all (hopefully!) busier on the modelling front we can get going again with a nice new mumsnet modelling thread .. ?

Brooke, I agree. I enjoy Netmums too but it goes off topic too often and it's easy to miss relevant posts. Mumsnet is more to the point.

Hi all i have'nt been on here for ages, as the last time i was on, there was all that funny business with the uninvited guest and i decided to leave it for a bit.

Anyway glad that you all have been busy and at long last i can report that my dd got a straight job for the Bratz magazine.She should be in the feature pages in March and April.

We had a lovely journey up, and the 3 hours we were there was a lot of fun for her.

hi everyone this is my first time on here and i dont know anything about any agencies so need some advice. i sent some photos off to bizzy kidz junior model management models direct and grace and galor for my eldest daughter.and all are interested also elliot brown see her in a comp i entered her in and said they were interested in her and liked her look and can i send them some photos. but i dont know muh about any of them tbh so dont know what to do?? also my youngest has been accepted for babyshak but dont know much about them either lol plz help xx
