liaghen I agree with you re clothing we always dress them in something to be remebered by as well.
my favourites are a bright pink Beatles t-shirt for dd and blue Rolling Stones t-shirt for ds, we buy a lot of cheeky t-shirts online too, one my personal addictions.

melody is ds2 doing a job tomorrow? or casting?

It's a casting for Freesat- a satelite tv service, anyone else going? Still have only met up with one person from these boards

I had a teeshirt that I really liked - particularly being as flat chested as I am (and not much bigger flipping breast feeding either!) "I want to be just like Barbie - that bitch has everything" One for the mother to wear to a Toys R Us casting?!!!!!

And uh oh. Looks like career over befoe it started! Went to Gymbabes this morning and they had a photographer. Normally happy smiling baby never cries - hated the photographer and I was sat next to him holding him. He is as happy as Larry with strangers loves lights and smiles for a camera. Not, apparently for a professional one!! Hoping it's 'cos he was tired........!

Melody - good luck!

DS doesn't have anything memorable to wear - other than 500 (only a slight exaggeration!) hand knitted jumpers done by his Granny!

Sent stuff up to AK on line but not heard anything back yet (I mean request for payment forms etc., not a job!) God I'm impatient.

Hi

Hellfire - I sent up my stuff to AK today too. Had a right stress on this morning trying to get everything right, white outfit, white background, right size etc etc - hope they say they are ok and I dont have to re-do them!

its so exciting though, especially when I read on here how well everyone is doing, particularly melody!

ps - Hope you guys dont mind me joining your thread

hi lolly.. mines just turned 2 and yes she's a madam sometimes too ! do u think ur dd is of a better age now for the modelling world? can be tough with the little ones sometimes.. my dd is super most of the time, but sometimes does not want to know at all !

I hope so. She has been telling me that she wants her photos done so only time will tell! I am taking her to Olan Mills on Sunday to see what she like in front of camera and to get her used to it again. Has your DD had much work?

dd done quite well for work and loves seeing herself in the finished media ! at our last casting she was brill.. didnt get it but she was very relaxed and enjoyed herself immensely which was really important for me to see.. the photographer was lovely tho and i do find that makes such a difference with the toddler age group.. we did a job once where they werent very friendly.. dd ran around like a crazy thing and would not go on set ! lucky they had another child lined up tho who was older and a bit more placid !! good luck to your dd.. i fancy BB as well and they've told me to apply in a year as they dont take on 2 yr olds.

B&B took her on when she was 14 months old and when she got to two she started saying she didnt want photos done etc etc. M&S kept booking her and she wouldnt perform for them at all. When Burberry wanted to see her I didnt want her to mess that one up for future chances so Kipsey said lets just retire her for a while and see how she is when she bit older. Kipsey said that when they hit 2 it is very common that they dont want to do nothing even with bribery!!

Thanks BROOKE77...Kids London, was the one. I am just waiting to hear from them. My son has been accepted by other agencies, but they all wanted a fee of £100+ and i was always told i shouldnt have to pay anything so i never went through with it.

Brooke77: hi, any news about the music video?
I am starting to get very impatient now!!!I just can't wait to see the finished product

Report
MelodyDaisy · 03/10/2008 22:43

geminimummy-Not completely true. In the adult industry yes, but in the childs industry there will nearly alway's be some sort of fee you must pay, even if it's just the cost's of photo's, start-up cost's, just not a joining fee.
What is the case though is that some child agencies charge alot more than others, in some cases more than double

Will keep my fingers crossed on KL for you, come and ask us as many questions as you want

hi

I was just wondering when you go for your castings do you see anyone there who is with Babyshak? Just wondering whether they are a bust ageny or not. thanks

Serenbach · 06/10/2008 12:51

That's great news.....then we just have to wait for the castings/jobs to start coming in lol.

Gosh I've never been good at the waiting game lol.
Good news for my DD as she may be attending a photoshoot in half term for a toy company - just waiting for confirmation. It's not through the Agency though it's because of the competition she won.....do you think I need to let UAN know about the shoot?

Report
puffling · 06/10/2008 14:18

Serenbach - I would guess you don't need to as it's not through an agency, but you could contact Sarah just to be sure.
