Morning all
September's thread was very long so thought best to start a new thread as Brooke77 suggested too!

Am off to London again tomorrow for DS1 has a tv show casting, anyone have anything coming up?

Any of you had contract's through from UAN yet?

Christabel,I can understand that feeling!
it is a buzz, My ds is on the back of a toy box and 3 years down the line I still turn one round if I see it in Woolies so he is on view.
Ilovetochat- yes go along to see the agencies,if it doesn't work out now it may do later on after your little one has had some playgroup experience etc.

I'm pleased to report that dd has been 'shortlisted' for UA and Scallywags. I feel almost giddy with excitement!!

Does anyone know what the chances of getting a consultation with UA is once you've been shortlisted? ds already with SW but couldn't afford high start up costs for 2 kids so hung out for UA to open books for dd, she is now 'shortlisted' - am I getting prematurely excited??

Yummymummy- we're 'shortlisted' too. Not that I have a clue what's involved but am waiting VERY impatiently.

Like you I'm a little reluctant to pay the SW start-up costs if I don't have to...

pureeandpearls - am not the most patient either! Have read on other threads of people already being turned down for UA so am grateful to get this far in the process!

pureeandpearls & yummymummyno1 - I'm wondering if my DD been "shorlisted" too as was told they would give me a decision by Monday 3rd????? Is that what you were told??

being shortlisted means they have not turned you down at first stage,after books close you may get called in for photos or sent email saying sorry.If you come for photos they may still say no,its a long old process the u/a one,but well done for getting this far.

well, they keep their books open for two weeks, then It took another week to get the phonecall. We had the consultation a week after and then it was another ten days before they calle dus to tell us they had accepted ds. I was a nervous wreck by the end of it all!!!I am not very patient

DD is 4........after reading your last post it looks like it maybe a no no then for us as we didn't get a further email like you did

DS is just 7 and been with SW a few weeks, has had a straight job and casting for TV commercial so have been quite happy with them so far. DD is almost 9 and waited for UA to open for her (financial reasons)!! If it is a 'no' then will apply to SW.
Don't give up hope yet, i have read elsewhere of people already getting a 'no' already.

Hi Brooke!!
WE're fine, in Italy still. Nothing fro UA yet. Got a call from them on the 17th for a casting for Tesco we had to turn down becasue we were rushing to the airport. Rupert forgot about our holidays!!!I am hoping that the phone will ring again from next week
Well done on getting accepted by KL!!!VEry happy for your DD!

Brooke - got one email saying they have recieved application and will get an answer on the 3rd Nov.....went to test shoot for SW on Wednesday said they would let us know 3-5 working days....I'm not the most patient person but the one answer I would like NOW (tis nothing to do with child modeling I'm afraid) is that my DD has got into our 1st choice school and that is an even longer wait

question: is it possible to join an agency as a family eventhough your dc is with a sole rep agency but that doesn't work with families??
