Hi. Just wanted to say that my DS1 has a casting on Monday already and only went to see AK 2 weeks ago!!

Anyone else got castings/jobs coming up?

My DC got accepted by quite a few but didn't make a decision straight away luckily and found the best agency for what we wanted. Soo pleased I didn't go to BK from sounds of things on here!!

dastadlyandmutley- I really hope you've got a good agency now

Onthebeach- He did well I think!!
They took him off into another room and then brought him back again so it's very difficult to tell whether they thought he was right for it or not, who know's!!

You heard anything about casting's yet?

Hi, will keep fingers crossed or him.
My 2 ds's had a run of jobs about may/june time, they did mothercare, babies r us, sainsburys and fisher-price between them, but since then have not had any jobs or castings so hoping for something else to come up soon.

Just had another call, my DS1 has ANOTHER casting on Tuesday, could be a great opportunity!!

Anybody had a call from UAN yet, I rang them yesterday and they said they are phoning everyone today through to Friday if successful and photos sessions will be from Sept 3 - 7th. You will get an email if not successful.
Had a yes from Boss for my DD - photo sessions and interview end of Oct so will wait and see what happens with UAN this week. FINGERS CROSSED

It's £50 I think. We're in the same position, aiting to hear from UAN, with a boss interview lined up for end of OCT.

LilRedWG - we had 2 castings within 6 weeks of joining them last year, yet been quiet since. saying that i regulary see them at castings my ds goes too. their fees are one of fees until the child is 16, i think. so for me even getting one job in the next 10 or so years would recoperate the fees back. i didnt want to pay out any more high fees hence chosing them as an agent.

christabel - thats not much time at all for UAN to get the children in for assesment and photos especially bearing in mind most children return back to school next week so would find it harder to get there for a photo session! i wonder if they will extend the dates a bit? i have heard of boss being a very good agent so well done for getting accepted.

Thanks guys - I'm waiting to hear from MOT and need to send prints to Kids London. Rascals have invited her for an interview. I think I'll wait until I hear from MOT before I make any decisions.

Puffling - Did you apply to UAN - I rang on Tuesday and was told Sarah would be ringing all those who are successful from Tue and rang again today - only as desperate to know and was told Sarah was ring from today!! So hopefully we should all know by end of Fri. Are you in Manchester as notice you got a yes from Boss which I did as well. They are quite picky as applied about 2 years ago and got turned down as was told they had a girl extremely similar looking to my DD.

Im another one of the ones waiting for UA - not feeling the most confident as we've had this before and then a no and then also seen them and then a no, so kinda waiting for the " sorry.... " email

Looks like the suspense it killing all of you! I am feeling like that too, just waiting to find out if my DS1's pencil get's confirmed or not, the waiting is horrible!!

Christabel, I don't drive,I'm wondering if I'd be better of with Boss as it's based in Manchester. What do you think? (That's if either like us at interview!)

tinkerbellchelle - DD is just 9 and has been modelling since Jan 07 - I am not that confident as think there not going to take on loads of kids and thought would have heard by now. Will let you all know when I hear.

Puffling - Have you booked a time with Boss - email I got looked like a standard email and sounded like if you are going you will have photos there and then and have to pay the 100 pounds. If you applied to UAN and get a yes might be worth going with both and just accept jobs / castings in Manchester - presume majority of Boss's work is in Manchester. You could always ring them and see where majority of kids work is.

Anybody else with Boss - just wondered if they get much work.

ahh christabel good luck - I heard that some people received emails yesterday saying no, wonder if they are working through age groups possibly? My little boy is 3

Quick question about payment for castings. Do the agency check that your child was there and then send you out the payment, or do you need to contact them?
