Morning all, sunny here. Spot is purring on my lap, and I'll need to turf her off for work. Poor Spot. No furry/feathery carnage this morning thank goodness - LOL at the chalk outlines Thank goodness for hard floors, that's all I can say.

Afternoon. Quite a nice day. I've finally done my tax return after looking at the file sitting on the desk for ages. Misty's asleep on the window sill behind my computer. That can't be comfortable.

Having had no carnage this morning, Slinky has been in twice with a young rat <sigh> The second time I took it off her and lobbed it into a hedge. Spot has gone out too, and IdiotKitty has been playing with scrunched up paper - awww.

Sympathies on the cough LetUs, and congrats to Apricot on the tax return. I'm struggling with grown up life admin at the moment - bugger all motivation. <another sigh>

Weather has been quite warm again, spreadsheets have been hellish again, though I did track down a missing entry and got two spreadsheets to balance, so hurrah!

Afternoon. Lovely day, not a cloud in the sky. I went outside for an hour earlier. We had our flu jabs this morning. The GP surgery had a walk-in clinic which worked very well. I'm now waiting for my arm to complain.

Also had a flu jab this morning. Arm was rather sore earlier but seems okay now. Got some washing dry on the line which was a surprise for October. Made it to the thing at the bookshop this evening but didn’t stay long but still long enough to buy two books

I didn't make it to the garden (despite the lovely weather), I got as far as the kitchen and bored myself senseless dealt with the chaos in there. Then had food and DH came home from SportingActivity. It has not been an exciting day. Tomorrow, he says he wants us to deal with a load of wood that's arrived. Whoop . At least the forecast is good tomorrow as well.

I saw a FB post today and thought "I should share that with LetUs - then realised it was on my timeline because LetUs has shared it

Morning. Urgh, and all that. Had a nagging headache for most of yesterday evening, despite drugs. DS was late at work, so we didn't get to bed until midnight. The headache turned into a banger and woke me at 1:30, so more drugs (once I'd found them), and back to sleep sometime after 2:30.

Added to that bloody Spot brought a mouse in, let it go in the mess of shoes and bags on the floor and we couldn't find it anywhere. There are no mouse remains this morning, so it's still in the house somewhere.

On the entertaining side, after watching traitors I had a bonkers dream involving being in a bed with James Blunt and Hannah Fry and working out who owed money to who, and arranging to pay it somehow, while being on the Isle of Lewis for... reasons?!. I did actually have some cheese before bed - maybe I can blame that

Afternoon. Nice day but a bit colder. My arm is fine from the jab which is unusual because I can’t normally lie on it for 3 nights. Had a shocker of a night, awake from 2 o’clock until 5 for no reason. Just wide awake.

Hope friend visiting, flapjack making and wood sorting went well. Also mouse hunting.

Have been dosing myself with paracetamol today and feeling generally knackered. I did indeed enjoy bath’n’book this afternoon.

Evening, have had a lovely weekend with friend thanks - went to a matinee yesterday which was excellent, and then dinner at a little local restaurant. It's a family run affair - very small menu and always feels a bit special without breaking the bank. Friend has had some health issues and starts treatment tomorrow, so a weekend away has hopefully provided a welcome distraction. TCFKAC was less spooked than I expected and she managed to feed him a treat at one point!

Good to hear that your arm is not too painful apricot, any side effects at all from the jab?

Evening. Lots of wood has been chopped and stacked, washing was done, food was cooked - a normal Sunday I guess. Spot brought in another sodding mouse and dropped it when she collided on her way out with Slinky who was coming in at speed. <eye roll> We managed to catch this one and I let it loose out in the woodpile - aka MouseMetropolis

Hurrah for TCFKAC accepting treats, and for not sore arms post-jab. Fingers crossed for paracetamol working for LetUs - I've just had a sneezing fit.

Urgh. Again. I think I have a cold coming on - I'm getting very unpleasant sinus headaches that do respond to drugs, but leave me feeling like a wrung out dishcloth. Agreed re. the dark mornings. Now that I'm not getting up to get DS to college any more, the mornings when I get up for work in the office, it's a real shock to the system that it's all but dark. Doom...

Two were offered to the hedge gods because I was sick of her repeatedly coming back in with them, one she didn't bring back in again after being shooed out, and she got locked out after bringing the fourth in. I may also have called her a 'mouse-breathed monster' after she was investigating my glass of water. She's now on my lap purring her head off, so all is forgiven. Though I do want to go to bed...
