The sun went away and left us in foggy gloom from mid-morning onwards. Hope everyone else has better weather.

Work involved more spreadsheeting and swearing, and meetings running late so DS had to wait around for me to get a lift home, and was completely understanding and chilled out about it - not. <le sigh>

Haircut is lovely, although when I looked in the mirror the first words that popped into my head were “Joyce Barnaby” of Midsomer Murders fame.

Errands were run, beds stripped and two lots of washing done. Mostly dried although it went cloudy mid-afternoon and we’ve had rain on and off since. Perhaps that’s spring done with.

Watching the rest of Small Prophets. It’s so so good.

Evening all. It was a lovely day here as well. I even stepped away from the computer and got out into the garden (DH has been complaining that the front garden looks like a building site for ages). My back's a bit achey now though, since I've been shovelling heaps of earth around.

I have googled Joyce Barnaby - her hair is very nice. We have a New Year celebrity bake off on TV because it's beenon the box that long, and DH thought I'd prefer it to sport.

Have I mentioned the campaign for kittens? DH knows someone whose cat has just had four kittens, and the manshapes are keen on getting two. I'm not convinced, but I suspect we're going to end up with them, unless IdiotKitty tries to kill them.

Afternoon. Drizzly this morning and dull from lunchtime. I hope that isn't it for spring, I was beginning to enjoy it.

Hope the blood giving went well. Did I mention before about the only time I ever gave blood? The nurse went right through my vein and I swear half the blood in my body ended up in my arm. It was bruised from my wrist to under my arm in a huge diamond shape. I never had the nerve to try it again.

Yaaaaay for kittens! Hope IdiotKitty is good with them.

My donation went okay, if a bit slowly. Rest of the day was relaxed. I was on full SportingActivity lift duty tonight so I took some knitting with me to do in the car.

Evening. A busy week, so am looking forward to a chilled out weekend, with lots of ebaying. That is an impressive list apricot and lovely that you found a good home for the plaque & medal. I also had that happen once after giving blood - luckily not one of my first donations as that would have been really off-putting!

I'm surprised mention of kittens hasn't lured out ww We always have room for more Tav cats, so looking forward to hearing tales of chaos helen and hopefully tales of cute kitten cuddles too, so it's not all more hard work you.

It sounds like everyone has at least one blood donating disaster story (I've been black and blue from wrist to elbow). for donating though!

We watched Harvey this evening, which I recorded a few weeks ago. I think I must have been in my teens when I last saw it - very much a 'sunday afternoon film with DM' DS wasn't paying the most attention, but did enjoy it, which was nice.

Weekend plans involve a walk, a SportingCompetition, and gardening.

Have decided to rewatch The Capture from the beginning as I can remember very little about the previous series. First episode watched and enjoyed, it's a cracking cast.

The headache sort of went, then roared back to life while I was out, so I've just got home and lobbed sinus relief tablets at it, which seems to have helped a bit. (Urgh.) A bowl of slow-cooked beef stew also seems to be helping. DS brought home a medal though, so hurrah!!

I saw something about that coffee thing online Wicked - mad! I mean, it looks like a nice enough jar, but that sort of reaction?! Nope.
