I think I need to read that thread helen - I seem to be much worse since being menopausal, think it's because I no longer have that pre-menopausal burst of activity born from pissed-offness with mess/people not getting shit done etc.

Much wind and rain this morning. A tree had come down on my usual route in so I left early and went on a little detour. Thankfully cleared up by home time.

NC said she had a similar conversation with her mum about TNM. Said she’d watched a couple of episodes and thought it was going downhill. Her mum told her to carry on with it as it really picked up. So she did and it does.

My brain’s all over the place too.

Well, DGS has chipped a bone in his ankle playing football. DD had to go from work yesterday and get him from school and then go back to A&E at the hospital. He now has a big boot and crutches for the next four to six weeks.

It’s DH’s birthday today and we’re going to have a Chinese takeaway here for the family later.

Evening all. Poor DGS Apricot - 'chips' sound so innocuous, but DH chipped a bone at the base of the thumb once and ended up in plaster up to the elbow because the Drs were worried about the 'floating' chip damaging tendons if there was any movement while it healed. He was v. grumpy.

Today has been particularly sweary at work - someone higher up decided that our record keeping was too complicated (aka detailed) and should be amalgamated into one record. These are financial records. So we have to magically track spending on each sub-project by only having one overall figure. F.M.A.L. The swearing from me today was not pretty. Someone higher up the the chain that me (but not as high as this idiot) is going to 'make a case' that doesn't involve me channeling my inner Boudicca and waving a spiked baseball bat around the office. FFS...

Watched Digging for Britain this evening, which was nice. But they could make it much shorter by not repeating themselves all the time. I don't know how many time they told us that the monks were hard working and their whisky is the first mentioned in written records <sigh>

Chinese was lovely, but we ordered far too much. I we misunderstood DD’s order. Some of it’s gone in the freezer and we’ll be having it for the next couple of days. It’s a bit like the turkey at Christmas.

Afternoon. Meh sort of day. Bit of sun here and there. I went out to do a mini food shop and then walked round the road and it wasn’t really cold. There are daffodils in the front garden of the house opposite which is lovely to see.

Well I could've sworn I'd posted a couple of days ago!

Work was busy as I had a couple of days off, then spent Thursday lazing around & listing things on ebay and went to an exhibition & dinner with a friend yesterday. We would have seriously embarrassed our daughters had they been there owing to our habit of being happy to chat away to anyone at the exhibition.

More Freecycling & ebaying today & must have an early night, I can't work out if I have an upper back problem or am brewing a chest infection. Either way, a nice hot bath and getting to bed early with a book and a liberal application of Vicks/Olbas oil or whatever else I can find

Hot chocolate was fun and then we had a last-minute night out at a comedy gig this evening - a friend was double-booked and had spare tickets. Plus gardening was done, so a good day (if a bit long with the early-for-the-weekend start today).

We have snowdrops too Fancy but no daffs are out yet. Well done on all the ebaying and freecycling.

Up early today to collect som parcels for mum who has discovered Tradera (Swedish E-bay) but she doesn't like shopping online so I have to do it for her, and one thing was broken so now I have to deal with it 🙄

Been a bit chilly lately with up to -15 somedays.

Had lunch and fika yesterday with a colleague/friend in Stockholm, nice to visit civilisation from time to time.

Started watching Seven Dials on Netflix yesterday but only managed one episod, so boring.
