Well, we were told that the BBC were going to be here today filming for Countryfile, so we walked over the dunes, up the beach and round the estuary and there was no sign of them, so I don’t know. 🤷‍♀️ Took me back, scouring the area for a film crew…

I've been working from home again, everyone who was supposed to turn up and fix something did so, so I am poorer but happier! Dishwasher is still dead - engineer messaged before today to say it was really not worth fixing given the problem and as that does him out of a sale, I assume he's right.

Stepmum has been complimentary about her carer for the week, which will make DDad very happy, and the rest of us relieved.

Excellent news on all counts Fancy - apart from not actually having a dishwasher.

It stayed sunny here long enough to dry a load of washing. Then I left it out too late and it got clammy again - FFS at self. This afternoon I had the delight of picking up new glasses... a BOGOF offer. Except they forgot to apply that offer and I only had one pair waiting for me, so I get to do it all again next week. (Massive eye roll!)

Good news on the glasses offer Helen, but bit of a pain to have to trail back. I messaged DS2 to bring the washing in as it would have started getting damp by the time I got home. He does a jolly good job, all neat and everything. The shorter college days can be very handy 😁

Sunny here and it’s Friday so yeah for that! And next week’s weather - I might be able to start complaining it’s too hot!

Morning all. It's overcast here, though not any rain. Late night last night and DH woke me up early with his snoring, so I'm a bit wabbit. Forecast for the weekend looks good though.

DS would probably bring the washing in, eventually, if I asked him, but I doubt there would be much in the way of neat folding. (I may be doing him a disservice, he is a disconcerting mixture of lacking in any common sense and very helpful at times.) Speaking of whom, I need to get him out the door...

Work was stupid busy but it’s done for the week. I’m watching Signora Volpe which I’m sure was made several years ago but it’s another thing I managed to miss.

Evening. Work was full of v. boring spreadsheets and me wondering how to do the thing that I only have to do 4 times a year, so have to look it up every time.

Weekend plans are helping Dad with his business. I will be in need of a weekend by Sunday night.

Morning all. I have baked a cake (still in the oven) then need to start shifting the compost for the raised bed, then to work...

It's over cast and not especially warm, but not raining. I need to put my dressing down in the wash since I threw cake mixture all over it earlier!

Yay for the weekend, don't have much planned other than pottering - so naturally went to the garden centre I reckoned I needed 3 of a particular plant - they only had two - boo - , but they were in the sale, with more than 50% off - yay - . So I spent the savings on a new pot & small plant for DD's room.

I've been without a dishwasher for months now helen, so I'll last a bit longer! Have ordered one, more expensive than I thought, but with various offers have got free recycling of my old one & about 2/3rds off the installation price.

Am impressed with DS2's laundry skills letus

Afternoon. No, not still roaming the dunes. The film crew didn't turn up yesterday either so not sure what was going on there.

We came back last night. Weather today has been overcast but no rain. It looks amazing from tomorrow onwards so I've left the mountain of washing for then.

I've been eBaying today before their dreaded Simple Delivery becomes mandatory, although they're threatening to change all the current listings as well. If anything was misnamed it's that. I don't know what they're doing lately; I think they're trying to get rid of the private sellers. So many people are closing their accounts.

Lovely meet with BestFriend this morning. Unplanned trip to the walk in centre with DS2 with suspected broken thumb which fortunately turned out to be a soft tissue injury but I’m glad we got it checked.

I haven't sold anything on ebay for years, and don't plan to. I can't remember what the did to annoy me. I still buy though, so I hope they've not driving sellers away.

Well done on the plants bargain Fancy - I have shifted all of the compost down to the raised bed and spent most of the afternoon shuffling plants about. Bit knackered now. It was cloudy for most of the day, but the sun did appear eventually.

DS dragged DH to the cinema this afternoon to watch Revenge of the Sith (20th anniversary). DH was not keen, but has survived it.

Busy morning followed by parent visiting and then LovelyMIL round for lunch, then quiet afternoon with knitting and crochet and tv. Even managed to sit outside for a bit although it was rather cold when the sun went in.

Have been to a garden fair today, and it was ridiculously hot. No plants were bought, but I did get an adjustable angled long handled shears. <geeks out over garden tools>
