Afternoon all. I have been doing garden stuff all day - mostly painting the sheds with not-creosote, and also getting DH to help cut up some wood for raised beds. Am about to start mowing now. And washing is on the line, so a much more productive day than yesterday.
Unfortunately I have sat down on the sofa now, while I was ordering some compost, so my momentum for doing stuff has taken a hit, and I'm looking at chocolates next to me... <gives self boot up arse...>

Afternoon. The drive here took a bit longer than usual, but that was expected in view of the holiday. DD & Co joined us later. The weather is very windy and rather chilly but we’re not bothered about that. We went to visit the local gift shop this morning which is always interesting.

Eeeek LetUs about the jigsaw. I would ask whoever vacuumed it up to sort through the contents to find it.

Well done on all the gardening, I bet it all looks lovely.

In awe of all the gardening. Very impressive, but safe to say I won’t be joining in.

Washing dried inside again because of rain and then threat of rain.

Prescription was indeed available and I also collected a book I’d ordered from lovely local bookshop. Decided to look for what shoes I’ll wear for meal out tomorrow instead of my trainers. This led to me getting out many pairs and discovering bits of mould or whatever on some of them, so cleaning followed.

My washing is drying inside too. It was mostly dry, but I didn't get it out on the line until late, so it was the usual case of being too late in the day to dry completly.... <shrug> We didn't have any rain though, so that was useful.

Hurrah for new book, and boo for mouldy shoes. (Must investigate that Fun Guy - still haven't done that!)

Morning all. The weather stayed dry yesterday, but it wasn't the warmest so the BBQ happened outdoors and the eating happened indoors. Some gardening got done, but the current project is unfinished (because it turns out that DH bought the wrong sized screws <nae> and doesn't have enough longer ones, so the raised bed is still in bits.
Today we will have to track down longer screws. <nlt> and get it finished- that's the extent of today's plans.

It's overcast outside and a bit drizzly, with no signs of improvement. (But of course- bank holiday Monday!)

Hurrah for hoovers! I think I was in my mid twenties the first time I found myself talking excitedly about a new hoover with friends, and we laughed at ourselves then as well

Afternoon. The family have gone home now, but we’ve had a lovely weekend. The weather has been surprisingly good with lots of sun and we’ve been able to sit outside although the wind is chilly and DH hasn’t put the screen up round the decking yet.

Hope the longer screws were tracked down and the new vacuum was ordered. We still have the hoover that we had in our first house; it must be over 50 years old and it’s better than our other one which we’ve had since (one for upstairs and one for downstairs).

Vacuum was ordered and then collected. Went to see LovelyMIL and visiting MadNotRealAunties. Herding cats doesn’t even come close, but they are rather wonderful.

We’ve had rain most of the day. Not relishing the return to work.

We have DH has built the raised bed and helped me line it. DS helped move it to its new home, so now I'm just waiting for a bulk order of compost so I can fill it. In the meantime I've been helping with dismantling at VillageEvent and taking down the signs and I feel a bit broken. Hot bath is in order I think...

Afternoon. Easter ended busy - mini meet on Sunday which was lovely and long-overdue on my part! Then off to the parents - Dad has decided to take some respite, so we were able to spend a bit of time together while I took him there & got settled in.

WFH today as feel a bit knackered & off colour since yesterday.

Everyone needs some not-aunties letus - I miss that it's not such a thing now.

Afternoon. Sun and cloud here, hot in the sun but cold when it goes in. We went to local big town this morning to do the usual Poundland/Savers shop. I also looked in the lovely wool shop to see if I could get any inspiration (I’ve brought needles with me) but there wasn’t anything. 😕

Work was exceptionally worky.

Evening. The problem with working late is it leaves you with bugger all of an evening to mooch in or to do prep for the next day. Ho hum.

Less achey today, though exercise class this morning involved weights, so I may be a bit sore again when I wake up tomorrow.

Hope that Fancy is feeling better soon. DH has just taken himself off to bed feeling knackered and rough (hopefully just because his temperature has dropped which is does from time to time). I do not have time for feeling ill. <glares at any passing germs>

Evening. Am tiiiiiiiiiiired. Spent a chunk of tonight trying to sort out why Dad's card reader had stopped working, and setting up 'tap and go' on his smart phone'. Very unwenchlike tech skills there.

Work was work-ish, not busy, but I did some training and glared and spreadsheets.

Excellent news re. FancyDD - bright spark! also, phew re. lack of parental issues.
