One of DS2’s new t shirts has been washed and then dried on the line and it’s got yellow streaks all over it. It’s a white t shirt with a bit of colour on the front. First time in the wash so I’m a bit narked about it. I’ll soak it in the morning before it goes in the machine. Again. Try not to get overexcited by this.

It’s already quite warm <wilts>. Errands to run this morning and meeting BestFriend. Out this evening for dinner. Got the dress out I want to wear, hmm could do that with an iron, decided it’ll do as it is.

Afternoon. It’s hot. Again.

Bit of a panic last night. We’d left a fan on in the bedroom and when I went upstairs there was a horrendous smell. The motor had apparently overheated. There was no way we could sleep in there so we had to transfer to our old bedroom from before we had the extension built. Unfortunately it’s now my eBay stockroom with everything laid out on the bed in neat piles with corresponding boxes and envelopes, so I had to move it all. The duvet on there is a winter one so that had to be exchanged as well. Poor Misty couldn’t understand what was going on. Anyway, everything’s moved back now.

Evening all. Woke up early for a nearby village event, to cloud and coolness outside, which was lovely, though it had burnt off by early afternoon. Now I'm home and tiiiired.

DS had fun last night, but much to our bemusement, when I picked him up his last bus home followed us back along the main road so that must have been running massively late. Never mind.

What a pain about your bedroom Apricot - it's bad enough when you go up and realise that it's been striped for a wash and there's no new sheets on, but having to clear another bed and change the bedding is a complete pita. Mind you, at least the fan had overheated and not burst into flames!

No washing has been done today because I've not been here.

Very hot day yesterday, stupid hot levels. Lovely meal out and then we ended up in what passes for a club in NearbyVillage and then went to another pub. A very late night for me.

That sounds a right palaver having to move everything about, and it being so hot too Apricot.

Going to try to do the ironing early, then usual Sunday, then Wimbledon men’s final.

Afternoon. I have been out taxi-ing DS and GF, and doing shopping - Supermarket had a good offer on, so I went there specifically, scanned, everything, paid, and then realised I hadn't used the voucher <massive eye roll at myself!> Customer services refunded the voucher for me.

Currently 'watching' tennis. (i.e, glancing up form the laptop occasionally). DH is talking about doing a BBQ tonight. So lots of work and mess to produce some burnt food and salad!

Hope everyone's managing to stay cool - it's not as hot here today, but more humid.

Afternoon. Still hot, definitely swullocking here too . I haven’t done much today but it doesn’t matter. DH has gone to DD’s to put a television up for them or something and it must be proving difficult as he’s been gone for hours. I hope he’s looking after his arm.

They’re going to do a BBQ later. I agree about the work and mess Helen but I’m not doing it so…

I did similar in Boots Helen. Got one of those shop anywhere gift cards for Christmas, eventually decided I’d treat myself to a fancy body scrub thing, took ages to find the right thing in the shop and was getting a bit flustered re being late for work. Forgot to use the gift card.

Afternoon. A bit cooler here and there’s quite a breeze so it’s generally fresher. Rain forecast for tomorrow. I did a few local jobs this morning and then went a walk round the road to see what’s going on. Nothing.

Evening all. We've just had a bit of rain (probably because I did some watering), and there should be more tomorrow evening. Work has been workish - aka tiring and a bit frustrating. I've got a lurking headache which is probably due to the weather as well as the screentime. I'm planning on an early night.

DS breaks up in two days and then we will have lie-ins all round - hurrah!

Threatened rain all day, dark skies, wind, etc. One minute past five, walking to the car park - started raining. Not that much though tbh. We’ve had some thunder this evening but no rain.

I was a good person and did (some of) my exercises which have helped with the back/hip issue.

We’ve had rain all day and all evening. Work was an absolute pig and there was a detour on the way home because there was a tree lying in the road. Most inconsiderate of it.

But I’ve had a pleasant evening watching the first Downton Abbey film and carrying on with my crochet blanket.

Heaven help us - MrA up a ladder?! <arf> at weetabix lawn though - someone posted a picture of a field of square bales a couple of days ago with the caption "A magnificent herd of wild weetabix!" We've had rain on and off since this afternoon. DH says it's up to 5mm at least. #BetterThanNothing

Morning all. I'm tiiired, but it's the last day of college so I don't have to bother with prising DS out of bed again for another 6 weeks or whatever it is. Hurrah!!!

The sun is being sunny outside and IdiotKitty isn't going to eat ThatMuck <eye roll>. That's my morning so far.

Maybe MrA could deal with lying down trees as well, so LetUs can get home from work more easily.

Afternoon. I think we had some more rain in the night but none since.

Nothing much going on here. I did a mending job on the sewing machine and stupidly trapped my finger in the arm thing that goes up and down which was rather painful. That’s my excitement for the day.
