Evening all. We have been gigging - music this time. I'm a bit deaf, but it was good. DS was busy filming the guitarist on his mobile (propping up the front row) and was very chuffed to get a thumbs up from him.

I covered up the cherries (the ones that the birds haven't already had) but didn't pick elderflowers because I realised we're rather low on sugar. Sugar will be bought tomorrow and then I'll pick the elderflowers.

No plans for tomorrow. Hope Fancy hasn't been working today and LetUs had a good meet-up and dinner & show.

Morning all. The livestock are fed, and I'm tempted to go back to bed. Though WobblyCat would be unimpressed and want to come too, being curled up next to me on the sofa, though it depends if she notices me go.

Afternoon. Cloudy all day but not cold. Sleepover was uneventful.

Both DC came round for Father's Day and DS re-potted the tomatoes as they're growing like mad and DH obviously can't do them. He's got an appointment with the surgeon tomorrow and has lots of questions to ask.

Evenings out sound good. Yay for thumbs up for HelenDS.

Evening all. Bit of rain this afternoon, but two loads of washing got mostly dry. One load went through about 3 times because the washing machine seal has got revoltingly gunky and kept marking the washing. (Possibly I should have put an empty hot wash through it after I'd scrubbed the ting out, rather than a quick rinse. Who knows.)

I have pootled about today and don't think I did anything especially strenuous, but my back has gone into sporadically stabby ouchness. FML I shall aim for an early night to be spent lying flat on my back and not moving.

I’ve often looked at the seal on the washing machine and thought “wow that’s filthy, I should clean that”. It’s the thought that counts I believe.

Apparently it's 9am already, so I should crack on. <lacks enthusiasm>

Afternoon. Warm and sunny here too.

Well, the surgeon didn’t turn up again, so no questions were asked. However, he has had the dressing changed and now has a plaster cast on it instead of a sort of board thing which covered half his arm. We go back next Tuesday to have the stitches out. I hope he’ll be able to drive after that as we’re meeting his sister and her DH for lunch on the Wednesday and it’s a bit of a drive.

Hope your back is improving Helen, and LetUs’s holiday plans are going going smoothly.

Glad to hear that MrA has progressed from a slab to a cast - presumably that means they're happy with how it's all healing up.

DH helped empty the dishwasher last night, so all was well. Sodding back is still a sodding pain though. Morning exercise class may involve me lying on my mat and twitching feebly, rather than doing any of the stretchy bendy things. (I've paid up front and there's no refund, so may as well go!) Speaking of which, better get shifting.

Rained today in the afternoon but fortunately DS2 was at home so he brought in the washing. And actually folded it. Bedding including fitted sheets and he’s done a flipping good job. Folding fitted sheets is like A level standard of bringing in washing.

We shall not speak of work. I’ve been watching Derry Girls. After saying I’d take my time with it, I’ve just binged all of series 2.

Turned out to be a beautiful day today. Got a couple of loads done with help from my new laundry assistant aka DS2. Also put the beach towels through a very quick wash as they haven’t been used for a while.

Theme for today at work NC and I was very much “oh for the love of mud, can none of you do anything for yourselves?”

Have started sewing together and stuffing the orange dragon. Even though I read the measurements beforehand, it still looks flipping massive. Good job this isn’t the knitting I plan on taking on holiday. It’d need its own seat coming back.

Afternoon. Phew, it's been a hot one, it's still 29 degrees. I can't sit in it for long, I get exhausted so I have to retreat to the shade, but I'm not complaining.

DH has been cleaning the outside windows with his one good arm. He hates not being able to do stuff.

I’m watching Murder Most Puzzling which is a new thing that’s started tonight. I’m a bit hmmmm about it so far, but at least it’s blocking out the noise from the neighbours who are incapable of holding a conversation at anything approaching a normal fucking level. And I’ve got the door shut and can still hear them.
