Morning all. I woke up early to the sound of rain! We've had, maybe, half a mm. I don't think it will have much effect on the water butts, but I sprinted out of bed and diverted an overflow pipe into a tank, because I'm nothing if not over-optimistic! This excitement meant that I forgot to turn my alarm off, so DH will be grumpy with me - twice over because then WobblyCat got upstairs unescorted and got on the bed to yowl a lot before settling down - waking again, and DS who was not-getting-up next door.

So that's my start to the day - hope everyone else's is less chaotic. Fingers crossed for no work-shite and a nice day for everyone. Also fingers crossed for me remembering to hit 'post'

We’ve been up and down with the temperature today.

Work shite was not avoided. In fact it was very much prevalent all day but fuck it it’s done now and there’s one more day before the long weekend.

I would like a relaxing start too LetUs but it doesn't really happen when I'm the one who wakes up first and feeds animals etc... I did go back to bed for half an hour this morning though

Morning all. Also bright and sunny here. The veg patch says 'yes please' to the forecast rain. Thundery showers all Saturday when I last checked. We will have many gazebos and party tents up at the this weekend's events! All tied down to the nth degree. I'm also thinking about wearing thermals!

In the meantime, today brings the college run and work and prepping and work and general mayhem.

DS2 appears to have finished college. He doesn’t have any exams, other than those much earlier this year, everything else was assignments.

It’s just started raining here which appears to be here for days now, just as the washing basket went from “nothing to see here” to “emergency!” within about an hour.

Evening all. Weather wasn't too bad fortunately. The sun didn't come out until we were packing up for the day, but it didn't rain all day - hurrah! I am knackered though - 13 hour shift <crawls off for shower then bed>. Send HBFs, stat. (assuming that 'stat' means immediately).

Hurrah for the craft sale, and I hope Apricot had a nice family meal out.

Afternoon, glad meals out and events all went well. Yay for the rain for those of us in the southern desert 😁

All rather fraught here, it was a good job I didn't have that large drink on Friday as I got a call from DD's work on Friday night to collect her. Several further seizures later and we were in a and e early on Saturday morning after my first ever ride in an ambulance 😞 It was mercifully not too busy and the staff were all absolutely lovely. By midday all tests were complete, meds and fluids administered and she was discharged. She napped on and off all afternoon, then we had a few snacks, watched a film and were in bed by 10. Only woke up around 10 this morning, both groggy from all the sleep. She has just left - determined to go to the match with her flatmate, but was looking much better after coffee and a shower. Not sure I'm looking as good 🤣

Oh and MN went back to normal for me on the laptop in Friday, went funny on my phone yesterday and is back to normal again today. A site stuff thread said they were trying a new talk format out for some users and to request removal from the trial if wanted. Annoyingly they kept trying to ask people who wanted removal why they didn't like the new format and also there was no option in settings to go back to the old format without having to make the request.

We had a lovely meal and liked the boyfriend very much. He stood up well to having questions thrown at him from all directions.

LetUs I used to buy yarn from the sale at our lovely department store which sadly closed down some years ago, even though I had no idea what I would do with it.
