Evening. I'm tiiiiiiiiiiiired. I did boring mandatory training at work this afternoon and then needed to look at spreadsheets to wake up again - it was that bad. Still, don't need to do that bit of tedium for another 2 years now.

Oh dear re. the dentist LetUs - that's not good news. The forgotten cards is just irritating.

IdiotKitty likes to join me in the toilet, but that's because he's an idiot, not because he wants peace and quiet. He's also terrified me before by walking along the edge of the bath while I was in it - I had visions of him slipping and shredding me in his panic to get out again.

Cat vom was someone <side eyes at IdiotKitty> eating grass. Though I came down this morning and found WobblyCat waiting at the back door - outside. So Little Miss 'I can't use the catflap, I need a litter tray' is clearly a sneaky madam, and now I'm wondering how often she's been out overnight without me knowing and just come back in through the flap. (Probably not that often - she seems to be more interested now that the days are longer and less wintery. Not that today was warm.)

Morning all. Dull and cloudy when I got up, but the sun's breaking through now and there's more blue sky visible. Still tiiiiiiiiiiiired, and it's still self inflicted.

Afternoon. Cloudy all day but I haven’t been out of the house to test the temperature. I’ve been tackling the pile of mending which seems to have built up.

Sorry about the crowns LetUs. Our dentist tells DH he needs one replacing and although we have insurance it doesn’t cover crowns. Typical!

DH is also on smoke watch, he just called up that it’s white. Good for them. 😀

Work was extra worky today. These four day weeks seem over long tbh.

We had sun on and off, it seems to be picking up for the weekend.

All the Pope stuff is very interesting. And they get some lovely sharp creases on the sleeves of their robes.

I put washing on early this morning... and forgot to hang it out, and then forgot to bring it in before it got cold and clammy. F.M.L. I also have the ever-increasing pile of mending which is not getting done .

Work has been workish too. That joyus thing when you manage to end out all the emails... and then your inbox starts filling up with replies that need processing [sob] Ho hum.

Have a friend coming for a surprise visit over the weekend which will be lovely but OMG that state of the house, and you know who's going to end up doing the frantic tidying while the manshapes are doing sporting things... <le sigh>

Need to get going, will be doing the college run in PJs at this rate...

Afternoon. Nice day, sunny and warmer. The forecast for the next week looks good, although no rain, which we do need.

Washing and ironing done and a top up shop at Sainsbury’s. I always seem to be carting food in, but we really don’t eat a lot. Neighbours still don’t seem to eat, never see food going in.

Evening all. NO, the house is not as bad as I thought this morning LetUs - because I've been blitzing on and off through the day.

Hot again today, so I've lugged watering cans about after work, and also done the thing of forgetting to hang out washing again. (De-catting the spare bed.) Am feeling done with adulting and very sorry for myself. <plays tiniest violin in the world>

Evening. Still feel coldy and a bit crap, thank god it's the weekend. Don't have much planned other than dinner with a neighbour so it should be nice and peaceful.

What is it with all the mandatory training at the moment Helen? I had to do 3 hours of the stuff last week, and that was on top of the training for the new software.

Oh Letus that really is the worst start to the day possible 😭

Apricot you are sounding very organised! I did manage a quick grocery top up after work -unexpectedly dramatic as someone was being arrested in one of the shops

Morning all. I was woken by DH's alarm, followed by WobblyCat climbing onto the bed and yowling at me. Also sunny here. Today's delights including helping put up signs for the next VillageEvent, visiting the opticians to point out that the reason I went last time is because the glasses aren't working for one eye, so they can think they're right as much as they want - they're not. Plus tidying, cooking, gardening and the non-sarcastic delight of seeing VisitingFriend. (Maybe I should have taken a leaf out of Apricot's book and insisted on going out for a meal tonight!)

Hope everyone has a good day and the sunshine helps Fancy's cold feel better, if it doesn't see it off completely.

Had a tough week with several visits to the vet with Fräsan. She's been having this weird noise when she's breathing, for about six months, but they haven't found anything serious, which is a relief. She's not affected by it and still very playful. I wonder if it might be asthma or something, waiting for the vet to get back to me during next week.

Tomorrow I'm going on the day cruise with a seafood buffé, there's only four of us going so that'll be nice, easier to talk to each other.

It's very chilly here, I've bought flower plants last weekend but not planted them yet, afraid the will freeze and die, they're in my bathroom at the moment

Fräsan has started to sit very close to me on the couch and I've been so flattered about that, until i leave for a moment and realised that she's just after my spot on the couch

Afternoon. Nice sunny day, but didn’t get any washing done. We had a nice evening with our friends, we’ve known them since we were in our 20s so there’s a lot of water under the bridge.

Excitement of the day: a Lancaster bomber is doing a tour as part of the VE Day celebrations and it flew over the village up the road. The place was packed and we had trouble getting a parking space but we had a good view and it did two circuits over the village and flashed its lights as it went away. It was quite emotional when you think what it’s been through and it’s still flying after all these years.

Hope Fräsan is alright WW, they are a worry when they’re not quite right. Have a lovely cruise.

Hope LetUs is having a relaxing weekend after work, Fancy’s cold is getting better and Helen is enjoying her friend’s visit.

That sounds so lovely seeing the Lancaster Apricot. It is a wonder when you see one flying, and I’ve only seen them on the tv.

Usual day of washing whilst the weather’s been nice. Was bright sunshine all morning, decided to sit out with my knitting and I swear within 10 seconds clouds had gathered, the sun went into hiding, the wind picked up, and a duck settled on a neighbour’s roof and quacked away very very loudly.

Morning all. LOL at the duck LetUs. We sat outside with VisitingFriend yesterday evening and the weather stayed good . Friend has gone now, so I'm back to gardening again - everything's so dry

I hope that Frasen stops causing you worries Wicked - WobblyCat actually has an inhaler, which is always a delight to use if she needs it. Fortunately that's not very often. Enjoy the cruise!

We saw the Red Arrows last weekend, on their way to the flypast in London. I'd seen something on facebook and mentioned to DH that they were meant to be passing sometime around 'now'. Lo and behold, 5 minutes later, we were just out of the car and walking to the beach when they shot past!

Love the Red Arrows. They will be at the air show at the fairly local RAF base next month. DS lives just up the road so weather permitting we’re going there for a good view.

Sunny here for most of the day. Got to sit outside with a book but fortunately next door played some music - and shit music at that - so I came in. I mean they needn’t have worried, I’d put sun cream on, so I could have stayed outside for longer.

It's been sunny all day, but not as hot and it could have been - there was a pleasant breeze. I have gardened my little socks off today, and most stuff is planted out now. So there will now be continual whinging from me about lugging watering cans everywhere There is no rain forecast for the forseeable.

Quite cloudy at the moment but the forecast says scorchio for later in the day. We were supposed to get a bit of rain earlier this morning. Doesn’t seem to have rained though.

Hot and sunny, and I have done the first watering run of the day. I have also cleaned up the vat com (I suspect that WobblyCat may have added a hairball blockage to her list of complications). Next is the college run and then work. The fun never starts.
