Morning wenches.

I think we’ve missed DS2 parents’ evening too Helen, but that’s more because DS2 didn’t sort one out or didn’t tell us about it. We did completely forget about a thing at college a few weeks ago though. There’s a lot going on in our heads.

You seem to be ticking along quite nicely Apricot, so you’re clearly doing something right! Potential medication clashes are a pain in the arse.

Had a very early night last night. Can’t say I feel any better for it but we’ll see how I am towards the end of the day.

Have lovely days wenches.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 06/03/2025 07:26

Morning all. Sunny and frosty again. I was brave stupid and didn't go out with a glove for picking up the chicken poo shovel (metal handle) but I didn't leave any skin behind. It's a bit warmer than yesterday - the bird bath didn't freeze over.

I will send a selection of HBFs to give you a good night's sleep LetUs - you it may not make you any less tired Grin

I think apricot's high levels are the 'glamour' markers, so that's nothing to worry about.

Have a good day all.

Afternoon. Nice day again but it’s clouded over now. DH has been up on the flat roof doing a repair, but he’s finished now.

These online parents’ evenings sound a good idea, but I would think it’s very easy to miss them. I’m sure you’re not alone Helen and LetUs.

Grin at ‘glamour’ markers.

Evening, has been a hectic week - deadline next week and am away for a couple of nights from tomorrow. Am quite pleased to be out of town as a farmer has had a fuckton of the stinkiest shit ever delivered. The stench hit me this morning when I left the house and then again tonight when I drove past the pile of shit on my commute home. Outside my house reeks. It happens every year, but it has never smelled as bad as this!

LetUsPrey · 06/03/2025 20:06

Evening wenches.

Conducive to sleep and also not sleep Helen 😁

Love “glamour” markers! And so true as well. Pleased to hear that MrApricot is safely down on the ground, although a flat roof sounds slightly less perilous than usual.

We have a food waste dump near here Fancy which is absolutely rank, depending on which way the wind’s blowing. As bad as it is, it sounds absolutely nothing compared to what you’ve got there. Have a good, stink free couple of nights away.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 06/03/2025 20:32

Evening all.

<arf> at the fuckton of stinky shit. Ours haven't started muckspreading yet. I think the food waste dump would be worse though <boak> I used to drive past a land refill site quite regularly and that was rank as well.

Today has all been work. Again. <bores self>

FancyFancy · 06/03/2025 21:41

I think a food waste dump may be worse letus!

The muckspreading is usually later in the year, so this was a shock to the system. Neither cat seems too keen on being outside this evening - I can only imagine how much it must smell to them!

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/03/2025 07:28

Morning all. Hardly any frost this morning, but sun, so that's nice. The sunrise is almost before I get up now - the nights will be drawing in soon then Grin
Was about to say I was typing one-handed with IdiotKitty on my lap, but no sooner had I thought it that he squirmed off. (He left me mouse remains this morning - bless Hmm _

Have a good day all. (Can you get clothes pegs for cat noses? Thoughts and Prayers for Chonk and Floof!)

LetUsPrey · 07/03/2025 07:29

Morning wenches.

We are all cursed by stinky surroundings every so often it seems. Poor cats though (and dogs I suppose too) with their animal sense of smell.

Raining but it’s Friday so there’s that. Seems to have been a jolly long week.

Have great days wenches.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 07/03/2025 17:27

TFIF 🍷

ApricotCrush · 07/03/2025 17:37

Evening. Nice earlier but it’s gone very dull now. I did a Lidl shop this morning and it was a bit warmer.

We get the muck spreading on the fields over the road and it’s pretty bad when the wind’s in this direction. Not this time of the year though.

Have a good evening all. Wine

Oh hello WW, you weren’t there when I started typing. Hope all is well with you.

Evening wenches.

Walked out of the house this morning, stinky stink smell. Perhaps it heard me talking about it.

Some nice weather forecast this weekend. Been a bit of a week at work so I shall join you with the TFIF Wicked 🍸

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/03/2025 21:42

Evening all. TFI indeed.

It's been quite a good day though - the weather stayed nice here (no muckspreading) and spreadsheets were reconciled. I carried WobblyCat down to see the chickens with me to try an encourage her to get out more. And of course. IdiotKitty came belting up and made her briskly trot away, At which point he decided to just jump over her, but clipped her on landing <le sigh> No wonder she doesn't want to be anywhere near him Sad

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 08/03/2025 08:00

Morning. It's is bright and sunny outside, and a bit chilly. Today's plans involve work, and planting seeds while the manshapes are at SportingActivity. And being a catbed, according to yowly WoddyCat.

Hope everywench has good day and sunshine!

LetUsPrey · 08/03/2025 08:36

Morning wenches.

Oh IdiotKitty, be careful! Planting and being a cat bed sound like good plans.

Today will be washing and tidying and sewing up latest knitting project, which I already know is going to take quite a while.

Have lovely days wenches.

ApricotCrush · 08/03/2025 16:43

Afternoon. Lovely day, I sat outside this morning for 10 minutes but the wind was a bit chilly.

DH has been up a ladder again painting the apex of the house but he’s down to window level now. I don’t look. 🙄

Poor WobblyCat, hope she’s alright.

LetUsPrey · 08/03/2025 19:32

Evening wenches.

I have washed and dried five - count them, five - loads of washing.

Have been sewing up my knitting for much of the day on and off. There were many fiddly bits and it takes way longer than I expect. Still not quite finished but I stopped a couple of hours ago as I could tell I was going to start making mistakes if I carried on.

It’s appreciated that we only know about MrApricot’s antics once he’s back on the ground 😁

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 08/03/2025 21:47

Shock LetUs - 5 loads??! Wow. I have done none. Though I did do the working and seed planting and working and mowing and working... and the weather was really warm in the bits where I was outside.

Glad to hear that MrA has come down safely, and that sewing up the knitting has progressed.

Hope that everywench has had a good day.

LetUsPrey · 09/03/2025 07:41

Morning wenches.

That sounds more than a full day Helen.

Sunshine again today. Usual ironing and visiting etc.

Have lovely days wenches.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 09/03/2025 09:11

Morning. Also sunny here, but high cloud too, so it's a bit hazy. DS has his GF over later, I have work and gardening to do, DH will doubtless find something to do and will tell me all about it. (I think he was planning to sow more veggie seeds.) In the meantime, dishwasher and washing machine are on, the livestock are fed and watered, and I'm putting off getting on the stepper...

Have a good day all - full of sun and inconsiderately invisible HBFs. Hmm

FancyFancy · 09/03/2025 10:17

Morning. Have had a lovely weekend away, met up with old friends and had a good catch up and keen to arrange the next one. Need to have breakfast, wake up properly and then drive home.

Very relieved that MrA is back on the ground and impressed with laundry marathon ,!

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 09/03/2025 14:43

Afternoon. Worked today between 7-11. Then vacuumed. Yesterday outing with mum couch hunting, all in all about 3 hours of driving. So tired in the evening that I wasn't even keen on wine. Will be another couch hunting trip next weekend, can't wait Grin Did manage to find som really cute small plates at the cat shelter second hand store, 6 plates for about 2 pounds. Love a bargain.

This year's contribution for Eurovision is finalized and let's just say that I don't think we will arrange next year's competition Confused

Glad you had a good time Fancy

You're all so productive with gardening and laundry, I feel a bit lazy Grin

Hope WobblyCat is doing ok.

ApricotCrush · 09/03/2025 16:45

Afternoon. Lovely day again and quite warm.

I think DH overdid the painting yesterday and wasn’t very well last night. He thinks he’s still 30! So no painting today but he has to get back to it to finish the job sometime. DS came round this afternoon with the kids which was nice.

Five loads LetUs? Shock. I’ve done one today and that was quite enough.

Yay for seed planting, weekend away and bargains. Smile

Evening all. More work this afternoon, and much faffing around doing nothing useful. One load of washing through the machine. Such is the excitement of my life...

I haven't heard yours Wicked, but our Eurovision entry is... odd. Maybe it grows on you - I suspect I will be hearing it regularly on the radio while they try to persuade us it's good.

Hope that MrA takes things more sensibly when he finishes up the painting.

I need to make cheese sauce to go with the cauliflower (yet more uncontrollable excitement!)
