More domestic witterings...

Morning all. Had an accidental late night (stupid sudoku) and now have the energy levels of a slug. I am trying a 'hot chocolate and ginger' to wake me up. It's... drinkable. And gingery. Don't think I'd bother again, but I got a selection pack of different flavours to have a taste of the alternatives so I shall work through them.

Very wet outside and the road is a mess because a local farmer flailed the hedges. Very useful of him, but equally, clearing up the resulting mess would have been useful too. (I went out afterwards and lobbed some branches back into the hedge outside out house.)

Afternoon. Sunshine and showers here. I was going to do a food shop this morning but my car battery was flat again, so I had to wait for DH to come home and put it on the charger. I just don’t do enough miles to keep it charged. Anyway then DD came round with some mending jobs, and I couldn’t be bothered to go out afterwards so Sainsbury’s will have to wait until tomorrow.

Sorry about the knitting LetUs, been there many times, borne out by my Plan B cupboard.

That’s a bit inconsiderate of the farmer Helen. Our road appears to be a dumping ground for all the pipes and stuff they’re using for the roadworks.

Work was aaaarrggghhh, not helped by me being super tired because crap sleep.

I am unknitting the rows, 14 of them with twisty cables. Like Penelope unweaving what she’d woven in a bid to stave off the suitors whilst Odysseus shagged around got a bit delayed coming home.

erm.... My brain is mostly dead. The weather turned out nice so I should have stuck washing on, but then it rained again this evening. KillerKitty brought us a baby rabbit, and growled when I made him eat it outside (I may need to scrub the patio now). He is now in a box, sleeping it off.

Fingers crossed for a successful shop tomorrow apricot. We are all unravelling LetUs- one way or another... at least your unravellings will result in a wonderful piece of knitting

Afternoon, back at work & feeling behind on everything after a busy long weekend - also went to see FancyMan's mum & sister yesterday. Think Chonk & Floof are pleased to see more of me as they have been very snuggly at night.

I had lots of cheese ww - 2 types of blue, a goats cheese, red leicester, one with an ash layer, mozzarella, a goat cheddar & others I can't remember!

Fingers crossed for the mammogram results helen, have just had my invitation come through. Fingers crossed letus is feeling better too and for no more battery woes for apricot

Feeling much better, must be due to the medical ministrations 😁 Didn’t go to work and managed to get a GP appointment. Diagnosis of vertigo, got a prescription, had to contact surgery later as I read the information leaflet and there were two things contraindicated and it said to check before taking it. All good though so that and some exercises from NC who also suffers should do the trick.

Evening. Nice day, got some washing done and did the Sainsbury shop. The temporary traffic lights are a pain on the main road, coming back I sat through four changes before I got through. I think I’ll have to stick with Lidl which is the other way.

Evening all. V. frustrating day at work. 400 line spreadsheet completed, with one query. I flagged the query and got a "Oh, didn't I send you the updates?" reply. So it's not completed and will probably take another day to get back under control. Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. FFS.

Traffic sounds a nightmare Apricot - we have lights on our main road (collapsed manhole), but I haven't had to sit through more than one change so far.

Morning all. Sunshine and frosty here. Slightly later start today, but the extra time will have been eaten up by making DS sandwiches and defrosting the car. And flomping on the sofa feeling tired because DH had a bad night's sleep.

Killer Kitty has had another baby rabbit, and secreted the back end in the utility room somewhere. Will have to try and find it (I saw him take it in but was in the middle of making breakfast. It was nowhere obvious when I went in so probably beneath cupboards or similar. What fun!

That spreadsheet sounds horrendous Helen. I’ve got a simple one for my eBay sales which I haven’t updated for about a year. I’m putting it off.

So it was bright and sunny and I put the washing out. And it rained. The towel is back in the machine and wet washing is draped about elsewhere. FFS. I didn't notice the rain because it wasn't hitting my window. DH didn't notice it hitting his window because... FFS. I was grumpy.

I also couldn't find the remains of the rabbit, but fortunately IdiotKitty knew where he stashed it and got it out to finish up later on in the morning. Then, in a triumph of instinct over reality, he tried to cover up the place on the patio where he'd eaten it, by carefully scratching a bit of dust over it.

It was very tempting to have another day off but I was honestly well enough to go in so in I went.

Harrumph at the unnoticed rain. We also started off sunny and then had rain from about 4. Good of IdiotKitty to help with the cleaning up.

Still quite tired so I’m waiting for the electric blanket to warm up and then I’ll be off to bed.

IdiotKitty's adventures continue. He came in for food as normal this morning, and went out again, then came back in again later, filthy and properly drenched. I tried to towel him down and the (dark blue) towel turned brown. Best guess is he ended up in a dyke while trying to catch a squeaky/tweety/furryfeathery thing. So, (sentences I never expected to use in my life) I put the cat in the shower. With me. And the water ran brown. He was actually remarkable good - tried to jump through the glass shower door once and then just mewed sadly to me while I started on his feet and then worked upwards with warm water. The washing machine is on (again) with soggy cat towels. There has also been much wiping down of muddy surfaces where he walked or sat.

He has also continued to look for his rabbit under the cupboards, despite having retrieved and eaten it all. IdiotKitty indeed.

So now to work...

Afternoon. Nice day, I opened the window where I sit and the sun is getting quite hot.

Oh dear Helen, IdiotKitty is a nightmare. at taking a shower with a cat.

Course was mostly pointless but it’s done. Was thinking of starting a new knitting project tonight, even though I’ve a couple still on the go, but would you believe it I don’t have the right colour and weight of yarn. I’ll have to go to the craft shop at the weekend. Curses!

Evening. No warm sunshine here - lots of drizzle and actual rain. Lots of interruptions today - taxi-ing various family members about the place. Minor panic when I thought I'd lost 2 hours of spreadsheet work, but I hadn't so that was ok.

Don't even joke about cats in Washing Machines LetUs - stuff of nightmares. The rest of his day seems to have been mercifully uneventful other than him nipping at me occasionally. #ShittyKitty.

I’ll struggle through Apricot. It’s a shame that the little shops, or even just the independent ones, have dwindled so much though.

Concentrating so much on spreadsheets sounds rubbish Helen, no wonder you’ve a headache. Hope it’s going or gone.

Work was crackers. DH is out so I’ve been on SportingActivity drop off and pick up tonight. No point going home in between so I took a book with me.
