Morning. I got up, did the chores and went back to bed. Then had one of those stupid dreams where I was repeatedly trying to wake up but couldn't, so that was tedious.

I have visions of LetUs knitting straight from the sheep now Grin - unravelling its fleece like a jumper and re-knitting on her needles. My brain is heading off into Wallace and Gromit/Shaun the Sheep territory.

Must crack on with work again. (would rather be sitting outside listening to sheep though).

ApricotCrush · 08/07/2024 17:34

Evening wenches. Lovely and sunny this morning so I got two washloads on the line. It clouded over later but it still dried and it's all away now.

That's horrible when you're dreaming and can't wake up Helen.

<snooort> at LetUs knitting straight from the sheep. Your holiday sounds lovely and peaceful.

LetUsPrey · 08/07/2024 19:47

Evening wenches.

I did think of trying to suggest to one of the sheep they contribute some wool but they weren’t keen on standing still for that long Grin

Beautiful weather here. Sat outside early afternoon with the knitting, but came in after a while as my arms were getting sunburned! Did some shopping this morning, had a delicious ice cream, then knitted and walked and then knitted. The sheep got jolly noisy an hour or so ago with the usual high and mid-pitched bleating, and then the Barry White of the sheep world joined in which was a bit different.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 08/07/2024 22:26

<arf> at BarryWhiteSheep - it sounds like a lovely place to be for a holiday.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 09/07/2024 07:43

Morning all. It's wet here - rain on and off all night from what I can tell. (Or I assuem it was on and off, and not just lightly raining all night with no break.) I would say that at least I don't have to water the garden, but the veg patch is succumbing to slugs and potato blight. Sad

LetUsPrey · 09/07/2024 08:17

Morning wenches.

Poor vegetable patch Sad

Astonishingly we have blue skies and sunshine again. There is some rain forecast later but two days on the run of lovely weather is a bonus. Today’s plan is forest walk and then meal out tonight.

Have lovely days wenches.

FancyFancy · 09/07/2024 13:03

Afternoon

Had a fabulous weekend thanks, two excellent gigs. I might be a bit pooped now <yawns>

Holiday sound idyllic letus, especially with the sheep providing background music.

Grin at Misty & soduku's - I bet she could, but being a cat why on earth would she do anything unnecessary?

Yikes at the state of the vegetable patch helen

Afternoon. Much rain overnight and all day although it’s brightened up now. So glad I did all that washing yesterday.

Yay for excellent gigs and holiday sunshine but boo for vegetable patch. I don’t know how DS’s vegetables are doing after their move but I still have some chillies inside here which have been left in my care. Hmm

LetUsPrey · 09/07/2024 20:27

Evening wenches.

Not quite as warm today but stayed dry for most of it which was good as we were out for a walk this morning/early afternoon which, let me tell you, DS2 was simply thrilled about. Been out for a meal tonight which was okay.

Two gigs in a short space of time would just about finish me off <nae> Fancy. I recommend just lying on the chaise for a while.

I’m sure the chillies will be fine Apricot. If not, I’ve got a pattern for you to knit some as an interim decoy Grin

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 09/07/2024 21:00

Evening Smile

Sounds like you have a lovely time on your holiday Letus Smile

Two gigs Fancy?! You're such a badass!

I've joined a couple of FB-groups in order to increase my social life and on Thursday I'm going on a fika with complete strangers, I'm starting to feel quite anxious now Confused Why am I doing this to myself? And sometimes you feel like WTF when you read some people's comments on the FB-page, like "can I bring my husband to the meetups, he needs new friends too", and this is a women only group we're talking about Hmm

Oh no about the vegetable patch Helen Sad

Of course Misty can solve a soduko, she just doesn't want to Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 09/07/2024 22:06

<arf> at knitted decoy chilis, and also wise words from Fancy - why would Misty bother with sudoku? Grin
I have had a nicely productive work day (I had a list and crossed jobs off). Also went to EarlyMorningExerciseClass and my shoulder feels quite painful now. Sad
We may have two gigs coming up next Friday and Saturday nights Shock At least that leaves Sunday to recover. Friday will be very sedate. Saturday will not.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 09/07/2024 22:21

Also, DH has 'Fake or Fortune' on tv - they're talking about 'preparatory sketches' - CSI musketeers ahoy! Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/07/2024 07:22

Morning all. Dull outside - all cloud, no sun. And woooooooooooooooooooooooooooork. I feel a bit bored already.

Hope everywench had a good day.
<decorates, because why not?>

LetUsPrey · 10/07/2024 07:45

Morning wenches.

Lovley decorating there Helen.

What a good idea of making new friends Wicked. And no, that woman’s husband can go and make his own friends.

We are also quite cloudy here. Island visit today, as long as everyone else gets up in time for the ferry.

<opens new part of sick bay - gig recovery bays>

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/07/2024 07:51

I need new glasses, seeing as it was wicked that pointed out that Misty is capable of sudoku, but why bother.
I do actually need new glasses. They're on order.
Also, meeting strangers from online - what a weird idea Wink

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 10/07/2024 09:40

I know Helen, they’re probably a bunch of weirdos Grin

ApricotCrush · 10/07/2024 17:13

Afternoon. The weather's returned to normal, cloudy and not very warm.

DH has gone off to the caravan with some golfing friends so I'm going to try to get some outstanding jobs done while he's away. I spent part of the morning sorting the house insurance which was fun, particularly as the renewal from our current company was the best so I could have saved the time. Hmm Then I went to town this afternoon for some bits and pieces.

Grin at knitted chillies and weird internet friends.

LetUsPrey · 10/07/2024 20:40

Evening wenches.

I shall look at those when I have better internet Wicked but I must say “really different” is intriguing!

It was a trifle breezy today on at the little ferry ports either side of the ferry ride, and also along our walk to the little museum and cafe. No rain at least. Have knitted and might read in a bit.

That does not sound particularly fun packed for you Apricot. Knitted chilli for reference Grin And the way these photos have been displaying sometimes it’ll probably be actual size.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 10/07/2024 21:35

My two favourite words, museum and café 😀

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/07/2024 23:09

Urgh - insurance. Adulting is so tedious apricot.

LOL (again) at the knitted chilli and also the 'unusual' wall paper in the second of Wicked's link.

Work was workish. meh.

LetUsPrey · 11/07/2024 08:31

Morning wenches.

I forgot to mention the gift shop Wicked Grin

Today involves swimming at the local pool. Not my favourite thing but one must I suppose. Then there’ll be pottering about and walking and then out for a meal this evening.

Have lovely days wenches.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 11/07/2024 09:39

Morning all. Today's excitement is seeing if the bin men turn up. I really don't know how I cope with the excitement Hmm (They didn't turn up for the last collection, then did an unannounced catch-up by which time we'd given up and put our bin away again so we missed it, and we've had to annex next door's empty bin (with their approval) because the bin men picked the week of us having a clear out to stage their no show). Like I said, exciting stuff.
Is anyone still awake after that?

It's overcast and uninspiring outside. A least it's not raining though.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 11/07/2024 10:04

Gift shop <drools>

ApricotCrush · 11/07/2024 17:29

Afternoon. Miserable day, cloudy with occasonal showers.

More insurance tedium. I've received the renewal for pet insurance and as it's 60% more than last year I really don't know whether to take it out again. When Misty had the UTI last year it cost nearly £200 at the vet with tests and antibiotics. I put in a claim but after the excess, another charge for I don't know what and the vet fee for completing the form, we received the princely sum of £15 back. The antibiotics cost over £40 and they're less than £10 on the internet, but you need a prescription. I can't help but think it's all a racket. Obviously if she needs a vet she'll see them, but I think I'll sack off the insurance and hope for the best.

Yay for binmen turning up. Hmm

I love looking at your houses WW. That second one is a bit much, I'd have a constant migraine.

Grin at the knitted chilli.
