Morning all. Also rain and cloud here.
I did 'one more chapter' several times and now regret my choices.
<picks up some matchsticks from the bar on the way out>

FancyFancy · 03/07/2024 13:01

Comedy was very good thanks - finally saw the comedian I have missed the last 3 times I had tickets to see him.

Sounds like you have all the important items covered letus Grin
It makes me feel better you still have some DC stuff apricot <side eyes DC's bedrooms>

Afternoon. Rain overnight, cool and cloudy now.

You sound very organised LetUs. Good that you finally got to see your comedian Fancy.

Hope everyone’s had a good day.

LetUsPrey · 03/07/2024 20:38

Evening wenches.

Is this rain going to fuck right off, at least for a little while, any time soon?

Feel like I’ve been busy today but can’t remember what I did this morning. Have done some knitting this afternoon. The Cardigan of Doom is now off the needles! Needs straightening, then sewing up, then possibly straightening again so that will probably wait until after holidays.

”One more chapter” always seems like such a good idea until the next morning.

Pleased the much delayed comedian was worth the wait Fancy.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 03/07/2024 21:39

Isn't it a contractual obligation to leave random stuff with your parents forever?

Work was work-ish. Ds has another college thing tomorrow but I cocked up the timings - it doesn't start at 9am, but I rearranged an opticians appointment at 9am (while I thought he'd be doing college thing) so we have to be in for that. I'm sure you can all imagine how well that unnecessarily early start is going down. Hmm

We still have no holiday plans. FML, etc. Also can't book anything because DH is waiting get a date for a follow-up Dr appointment 'in a couple of weeks'.
<inserts self into LetUs' packing pile>

FancyFancy · 03/07/2024 22:18

No rain here, just drizzle all day. Not even useful enough to fill up the water butt.

My holiday plans involve staying at home to watch the Olympics - 2 weeks of lounging around with Chonk and Floof while watching other people running around 😁

LetUsPrey · 04/07/2024 06:46

Morning wenches.

Excellent holiday plans Fancy. My first week has been similar - watching other people run about at the tennis whilst I’m knitting.

Would the reaction to an early start be much the same as when I told DS2 about the early start for the shopping trip Helen? I imagine it was.

Today is haircut and then my turn to help out with Family Older Person, then tennis.

Hmm that packing pile looks a bit bigger than before. No matter, I’ll just get an extra case.

Have lovely days wenches.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 04/07/2024 07:50

Morning all. Sunny here, apart from the little thunder cloud about DS's head Hmm

(I exaggerate - he's more resigned than grumpy.)

ApricotCrush · 04/07/2024 18:26

Evening. Quite a nice day, no rain. We’ve been out to meet DH’s sister and her DH for lunch. They live a couple of hours away and we meet in the middle. Nice to have a catch up.

Well done on finishing the knitting part of the Cardigan of Doom LetUs. I seem to have gone off the boil with my knitting.

Hope the optician appointment went well Helen. I’m at least a year overdue with mine, I keep getting reminders. Hmm

Holiday plans sound lovely Fancy.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 04/07/2024 21:19

Evening. New glasses needed, but on the plus side, fingers crossed that it might reduce the headaches if I get new glasses.

That sounds like a nice day Apricot. We didn't have any rain either - a few threatening clouds, but no rain.

Booo to the tennis Sad but LOL and Andy Murry's vomit stories. Grin

<Admires LetUs's swishy hair>
<takes self and headache off to bed>

LetUsPrey · 04/07/2024 21:44

Evening wenches.

Just about finished crying after watching that Murray tribute at Wimbledon.

Went to vote, got soaked on the way home. And it’s been very windy and then about an hour or so ago, heavy rain again.

That reminds me, I need to book in with the optician.

More headaches Helen? Sad Hope you feel better soon.

Sounds a lovely day Apricot.

I seem to have been busy today but also seem to still have a lot to do tomorrow to get ready for holiday.

LetUsPrey · 05/07/2024 08:03

Morning wenches.

Cloudy again but at least last night’s verging on torrential rain has stopped.

Am mostly organised and everything ready for tomorrow, so no doubt DH will come back from the gym and start telling what we need to do to get organised. I shall nod and make mmhmm noises.

Rest of today will be spent on errands and pottering.

Have lovely days wenches.

ApricotCrush · 05/07/2024 17:02

Afternoon. Cloudy and sunny and a bit cool.

Nothing going on here except DH woke me up this morning to tell me he thinks he left his phone in the restaurant yesterday, an hour’s drive away! Cue total panic and me getting a bit lot shouty as he’s always losing things. He found it in his jacket pocket in the end. We’re not speaking. Hmm

Hope you have a lovely holiday LetUs and the weather is kind to you.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 05/07/2024 19:39

Morning all. Evening, rather. I have been in bed all day with a migraine. FFS. I co-opted IdiotKitty to snuggle on the bed with me for a while, which worked while he was in snuggly mode.

It has just started raining here and I'm catching up on news for the day.

I don't leave my phone behind when I go places, but I do tend to put it down in the house and then wander about looking baffled until I decide to phone it. I never did find the phone that I lost in the house somewhere. Once the battery went flat, that was it - vanished forever (probably eloped with with idiotkitty's favourite black leather driving glove which he loved to kill).

Have a lovely lovely holiday LetUs - is it the usual place?

LetUsPrey · 06/07/2024 07:45

Morning wenches.

Yeah I’d not be speaking to him either Apricot.

Oh poor you Helen Sad Hope you’re feeling better this morning.

Usual place yes. The weather looks to be changeable shall we say. I’m looking forward to it.

Have great days wenches.

FancyFancy · 06/07/2024 12:55

Oh dear apricot, not surprised you're peeved!

Thank you for giving us all your rain yesterday letus, it pissed it down for about 24 hours. Am on my way to DSis's for gig 1 of the weekend. Hoping it didn't piss down for 24 hours there, or it's going to be a mudfest.

Hope you have a much better day today Helen

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 06/07/2024 14:22

Could have sworn I posted this morning. Fingers corssed, my head seems fine today. We've had 2cm rain overnight and another 1cm today. It's just stopped (because I sat down with a hot chocolate) so I need to go out now and do a shopping/charity shop run. Once I've finished by hot chocolate.

Safe travels LetUs and have a gigtastic weekend Fancy!

ApricotCrush · 06/07/2024 17:52

Afternoon. Sunshine and showers here.

All the menfolk have gone off to a sporting event which sounds very wet and very muddy. I meant to be all industrious and get a load of stuff done but I seem to have lost all my motivation and spent the afternoon with a cat on my lap doing sudokus. Hmm

Hope the headache stays away Helen.

Enjoy the gig Fancy.

ApricotCrush · 06/07/2024 20:12

Just read this again. To clarify, it was me doing the sudokus not the cat although to be honest with the mess I made she would probably be better at it than me. Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 06/07/2024 23:27

<arf> at Sudoku Cat! (Misty is a cat of many talents, but sudoku probably isn't one if them!)

I've just got DS into Waking the Dead. This is a good thing, because I loved that series Grin (Apart from when one of the characters came to a sudden and sticky end, completely unexpectedly. That was a bit upsetting. Hmmm... maybe DS will lose interest by then. Hopefully.)

LetUsPrey · 07/07/2024 08:08

Morning wenches.

Safely arrived at first destination. Lots of lovely chat and a quite frankly ridiculously large pizza which was delicious.

Sudoku with a cat sounds an excellent way to spend your time Apricot.

On a less gory theme I remember getting DS1 into W1A. He still uses some of the phrases Grin

Today will be travelling again. Weather is dry and a bit sunny so far today.

Have lovely days wenches.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/07/2024 15:11

Afternoon all. DH and DS have gone off gigging, and I have been bending my mind with a 12x9 sudoku.

Weather is sun/wind/cloud/rain in various orders and durations. Not as much rain as was forecast (yet).

Must shoot out before shops shut...

ApricotCrush · 07/07/2024 16:48

Afternoon. Same weather here Helen. I’ve been watching a bit of Wimbledon, I’m not usually bothered until the later stages.

Enjoy your travels LetUs.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/07/2024 23:19

I don't seem to have done much today. Though I have cooked and watched Wimbledon simultaneously. Truly, I am a goddess of multi-tasking <snort> And we had more rain and a thunderstorm overhead this evening. Such is the excitement of my life Hmm

IdiotKitty is out marauding, and will hopefully be home in time for breakfast today - unlike this morning when he rocked up at 10:30 in that nonchalant 'Who? Me? Late?' way. to be fair, I was up later than usual so he may have been home for breakfast at 7am, then given up and gone to catch his own.

Anyway, bed calls. Hope that LetUs has arrived safely and Fancy enjoyed the gigtastic weekend, and wicked is still chilling.

LetUsPrey · 08/07/2024 08:15

Morning wenches,

Safely arrived to sunny, quite warm weather. Sat outside, looking at the woodland, listening to the sheep, whilst I got on with some knitting. So that counts as an excellent start. Tennis watching was less excellent. Today will be pottering round nearby big town and food shopping, then probably a walk up the hills.

You’re a goddess of everything Helen, as are we all.

Have super days wenches.
