Well I won’t be getting any washing out as it’s tipping it down. Pottering about today and getting DS2 to try on lots of clothes so we can see what needs buying next week. All the fun.

Morning. We have sunshine still, so there's washing in the machine. Fingers crossed it stays dry long enough to get it out.

No clothes buying required here, but DS has had bedroom rearranging and is in a normal bed now - the cabin bed is in pieces in the spare room. That was fun while I was trying to work yesterday DH has gone off to Sportingactivity, DS is in bed still. I should do stuff. Or just sit here and eat chocolate for breakfast?

Nice not to have the long commute for another year. There was drama on Thursday morning as our outsourced IT provider ran an update while I was still working early Wednesday evening & I lost over half that day's work. Nice IT chappie kicked some butt and got most of it back for me, so crisis averted.

Speaking of drama, I flea-treated Chonk & Floof this morning - <eyerolls> I'm getting frantic scuttling with a side order of side-eyes from them both now.

DS came this morning to dismantle his multi-gym and take it away so I have another room to return to normal. Unfortunately he also brought a load of washing for me to do as he hasn’t got his washing machine plumbed in yet. It’s on the line hopefully drying.

I er I thought it said random clucks and that there were unknown chickens appearing in front of Helen’s eyes. Yes, that’s what it was. Yep.

DS2 was super engaged and willing this morning <falls about laughing> with trying on clothes etc, At least his wardrobes are a lot tidier, but he doesn’t really have many clothes left.

Not done much else today. I’ve been knitting some picture squares for a blanket.

Done lots and lots of fun stuff on my time off like going to the dentist, renewed my passport, unclogged the bathroom- and kitchen sinks and today I also removed a ton of cathair from the sofa

We mostly had really hot weather here, I'm not made for that, I'm Scandinavian ffs! Yesterday evening we hade rain and thunder and it was lovely

I have spent the day tidying and sorting, and gardening once it got a bit cooler outside. It did cloud over later today, so maybe the weather's on the turn. Though not according to the forecast on the met office. Send any spare rain this way too please - I'm doing lots of watering....

It was sunny when I went out to feed the chickens. the I went back to bed and woke up to rain - enough to make things a bit damp, and remind me that I need to tie back some plants that are flopping over and soaking me when I brush past them.

Out to see a comedian tonight. And also, FFS MN - how does typing 'some plants' generate a demand for me to put an emoji in? I presume this is a laptop glitch on the website and not doing it to people on phones.

Have been mostly pootling today - DC are over to watch the football & then go out for dinner later, so need to get organsied.

We had a sprinkling of rain last night - about half a watering can's worth in the water butt, so am jealous of your storm ww

Am psml over Chaka Demus & Pliers , quite an apt name - for Chonk at least as he's very vocal. Floof is very quiet mostly, although when Chonk isn't around he sometimes squeaks at me - which surprises both of us, judging by the look on his little face

It's bright and sunny here, I slept in a bit and now need to get cracking with all the work I neglected during last week's early mornings. Not a fan of that idea to be honest, but there we go.

Also, everything aches, in a tired way, though I haven't done anything energetic. Last night's comedian was suitably funny, and awwwwww at Floof being surprised by his own squeak rin] (stupid emojis)

Afternoon. Miserable day with the odd light shower which I managed to avoid when doing the Lidl shop.

Still getting the house back to normal but I'm not going to knock myself out to get it done quickly.

Meter person was jolly considerate and was here early. I have retrieved cardigan of doom from the knitting bag and am on with that. Should finish knitting it tomorrow - barring more disasters with it - then needs putting together and straightening.

Some clothes were bought. Refused to go for trainers even when I pointed out he’d have to go out again. Still no. DH can do that bit.

I had a big clothes clear out a few months ago Apricot, but haven’t got round to doing the other wardrobe yet. I run out of steam very quickly with things like that.

I’ve started planning my packing for holiday on Saturday. We are heading north. I’ve chosen which books I’m taking and have a list of small knitting projects to take. I think add a toothbrush to the list and I’m sorted!
