I’ve dampened the cardigan and pinned it out so we’ll see if that works. Edges not curling in same direction because why would they. That might be a bit too helpful.

Work was quiet for a change but NiceColleague is off tomorrow as well as someone else who I help cover for so likely to be busier.

Morning - it's sunny here (Sorry LetUs) but strong gusty winds are forecast according to my laptop's start-up screen.

DS didn't have to go in first thing today, so I was having a nice relaxing morning, until he appeared and said he'd decided to go in anyway. Cue a very rapid breakfast prep. Apparently most of his friends are going in late, but he'll take the chance to do extra revision along with a specific female friend I said nothing, because I do occasionally remember to engage tact and diplomacy.

I went out this morning with DD to a nearby lovely town as it’s my birthday. We had a mooch round the gift shops, then lunch in a tea shop and then a walk round the castle gardens. We’re going out for a family meal on Sunday.

Quite flipping windy here, but don’t think it rained. Crackers at work. I’d be sarcastic and ask if there’s anyone else’s work they’d like me to cover but they’d take me seriously 🙄

Have tried to get organised with knitting projects and am making myself finish the outstanding ones. That cardigan I’ve been making for many many many months may get finished this weekend. And then I can decide I don’t like it or it doesn’t fit and I can put it in a cupboard and forget about it.

Another busy week, work not toooo bad, just progressing slowly and time has been spent on various parent related phone calls. Hope we might actually be getting somewhere, but who knows. Suspect that things could get a bit ugly if a change is needed, but poor FancyDad really needs a break and some peace and quiet.

In nicer news, DD and I paid a wench tribute to D-day by watching episodes 1 and 2 (the D-day episode) of Band of Brothers. Because nothing says paying respect like watching hot men in khaki.

Great news about DS apricot and I love hearing how utterly spoilt Misty is - she is a very lucky cat!

Morning all. It's lovely and sunny, which is lovely, but not what's forecast (more's the pity). Yesterday was spent helping with FamilyBuiness #mafia Today will be rinse and repeat. The rinse may well be literal.

I am home and knackered. Weather was unexpectedly sunny for this morning's outdoorness, and then cloud and rain as forecast. Turning back into sunshine once all outdoor things were done. <eye roll at stupid weather>

Hope that MiniLetus emerged in time for shopping, and the shopping wasn't too stressful. Also hope that FancyDad gets some much needed R&R.

Had a lovely tea out with LovelyMILand DH and both DC and DS1’s girlfriend. Cant really go wrong with a chippy tea.

Shopping happened. DS2 walks a few paces behind me, or loiters slightly behind me if we’re at the till. Bought cards and presents for many upcoming birthdays. Clothes shopping will be tackled in a couple of weeks. Called in on older sister and had some excellent time with very smiley great nephew.

Cardigan of Doom remains where it was. Have carried on with some blanket squares.

Weather is indeed being an arse.

Knackered so really should head for the hayloft.

Usual Sunday with the added bonus of getting home from visiting parents and wherever else we go in that direction before the road closures because of sporting event.

I also need to make lists <nto> re birthday etc cards and presents as otherwise I’ll forget one/leave something to the last minute.

Today I have great plans to do gardening things. Plans. Whether the reality will happen is another matter. Nothing will happen if I don't get up off the sofa though.

Happy birthday apricot

I have done lots of gardening, through not everything I wanted since I need to clear a weed-infested bed first. I'll be needing a bath now.

I also had washing on the line and had to scoot it in pronto when it started raining . The washing was mostly dry, so I just need to hang it up to air.

Monday tomorrow. How did that happen?

I am so BORED of this rain. It’s rained on and off all day and for the last couple of hours it’s been throwing it down.

Got back before the roads were closed, although our street is shut at one end which was a surprise this morning when I went that way. Watched the tennis this afternoon which was a thrilling match. Very pleased with the winner.

So where the bloody hell was my sunshine??? The forecast was wonderful, the reality was grey skies all day. I spent the afternoon and evening gardening and when I came in the bloody heating had come on - I'd had all the windows open granted, but it wasn't that chilly!

Sunshine! Forecast says it won’t last but it’s here for now.

I was tempted to put the heating on but was prevented by my own laziness in that the control thingy and I were in different rooms.

It seems this Monday thing is happening again so I’d better get on with it.

Morning. It's very murky here - dark low clouds and windy, plus rain in the air. Hope it held off until DS got the bus. FFS at Fancy's weather yesterday.

My back would like to inform me that it doesn't approve of the gardening lark. DH's back doesn't approve of him chasing after KillerKitty when he ambushed IntelligentCat (DH slipped and went for a burton (where on earth does that expression come from?))

Gardening is well watered in anyway - including my three lavenders from the 'oops we killed it' bench at the local plant centre, which are looking a lot perkier now.

Today will involve much chopping and changing with freelancing, a side-order of BoringOffice and DS needing to be picked up early.
