PippiCalzelunghe · 05/05/2008 21:44

hey hot nice to 'see' you ! I am afraid is supposte for me and it did clear it pretty fast, so I'll recommend it. now I have a terrible back which amost leaves me paralised. been to A&E this morning as can hardly walk (the joys of motherhood...). must take some medicine and physio and maybe have urine infection FFS!!!!! anyway sorry hot no constipation with dd2, thankfully. My mum suggested levolac (sp?).

hot are you watching kevin mcloud LIVE??? I bet you are. still cannot believe we are living in a non-ken london.when are we going to coram fields?

I put sunlounger's out too, hope cat won;t be pissing there now!

did put dd2 by the window to no avail, sp will see tomorrow. I am sure she's fine. dd1's got temp though.

PippiCalzelunghe · 05/05/2008 21:47

rosa rest and relax. good vibes for you as well.

francagoestohollywood · 06/05/2008 09:10

oh pippi, here's to you feeling better too. Lots of sympathy, I've suffered from bad back for ages now . Try to get yourself sorted as soon as you can, massages, physio, pilates whatever, I really feel strongly about it.
what did the gp say re dd2?

OP posts:
Brangelina · 06/05/2008 11:27

Ha! Hhell, I should do the same and disconnect the internet at home, I spend too many afternoons glued to the computer and don't get anything else done. I sit down for "5 minutes", then look up and it's time to pick up DD. For the constipation if you don't want supposte I think you can get Fybrogel (sp?) or something like that in the UK, my sister used that when she was pg. Otherwise there are the famous glycerin supposte.....

Rosa, already the CVS???!!! Gosh, time goes by so quickly. When will you have the results? I expect being private it will be soon (I had to wait 2 wks for mine at the hospital). Take it easy and get yourself pampered. For the non toxic sunscreen I bought something from NaturaSi in Milan (do you hae that in Venice?), it was specifically for children, I think it was La Giostra dei Bambini or something like that. However, last year I ended up using Nivea Sun spray as forgot to go shopping before hitting the pool. Dr Hautschka is also good, as is Weleda, but I don't remember seeing sun products in those brands.

It's so true re the factor 20 only for kids, I also find it amusing that factor 15 is often referred to as blocco totale. I also remember being surprised that you you buy factor 0 sun lotion, aka spray'n'fry....

Brangelina · 06/05/2008 11:30

E povera Pippi con il mal di schiena. Is it from the birth or did you have it when pg too? I'm afraid I only had mild SPD but many a colpo di strega from lifting stupid things....

francagoestohollywood · 06/05/2008 11:37

oh, Brangelina the best was Lancaster factor 0 sun cream, very popular in the 80s..... I got fab suntans with that .

OP posts:
francagoestohollywood · 06/05/2008 11:37

I think it's been banned now

Rosa · 06/05/2008 12:12

Thanks guys I have been looking at the scan they gave us and I think I can see a pair of palle......Dh says it could be anything but seeing as this pg has been a rompe right from the start it could well be!!!!!
Oh piles male male male...Get something on them quick !
Thx for sunscreen suggestions think there is a Natura something in mestre.
Hot here dh says he is going out in pantalone corti domani !!!!!
Should have results in about a week.....

Brangelina · 06/05/2008 12:43

I remember the Lancaster stuff, was it the brown gloop in a pot? Extreme bronze or melanin something? I got very brown on that too!. What I find really scary is that loads of people use the normal nivea cream in a tin. I used to use that as hair conditioner when my hair was curlier, it was much better than frizzease.

Wow Rosa, a boy! Am amazed you could distinguish something from the scan, I never could, except for the backbone (I was convinced I was having a fish). You must have been looking very hard.
at Rosa's DH in shorts. It's not that hot here (says she sitting in an air conditioned office) At least he doesn't have to worry about leg hair. Talking of which, I may have finally found somewhere that can actually wax in Monza, it was recommended to me by someone properly hairy like myself (ie not someone whose leg hair blows away in the wind). I have made an appointment for next week so here's hoping.

francagoestohollywood · 06/05/2008 12:52

lol lol at rosa spotting a pair of palle in the scan! . Oh, bless, I loved going for scans!

Brangelina, yep, that one, known in my entourage as "crema cacca" (yes, never grown out of "coprolalia", I'm afraid...)

It's warm today in Milan, but no shorts from me either. Had a wax 10 days ago and I have already a ricrescita. Bah!

OP posts:
francagoestohollywood · 06/05/2008 12:53

Yes, I've seen people applying nivea and johnson oil! A relative of mine (in the early 80s) used olio di bergamotto and had to be taken to hospital for sun burnt

Brangelina · 06/05/2008 13:05

Franca, you need an epilady for those in between days (to quote the Cure). When I was more industrious I used to make a wax last for weeks by running the epilady over my legs every other day to catch those sneaky hairs. Now alas I can't be bothered to even get it out of its bag. I have become such a slob. I also need to wax my baffi, noticed it is really obvious when I took my glasses off the other day. It's amazing in how much glorious detail you can see your imperfections when you're shortsighted, or is it only me?

francagoestohollywood · 06/05/2008 13:15

epilady hurts too much and my legs get all bumpy and red...
I think I'll take on my dad's offer and get some laser treatment in the Autumn, at least it stops ingrowing hairs and reduces the mass.
I had my moustache done a month ago, it is still ok.

OP posts:
Brangelina · 06/05/2008 13:18

Moustache done? How many sessions did it take? Was it very expensive? Did you get it done at one of those specialist places (you know, depilcity or one of those places advertised in the metro).

francagoestohollywood · 06/05/2008 13:26

gosh no, I meant waxed. At my hairdresser's.

Sil is having laser treatment, so according to her feedback I'll have a course done on my calves.

Have discovered fantastic classes for music lessons for the children for september!!!!!

Hot, my personal favourite constipation remedy when pg was a packet of lindor mini-eggs, but I probably shouldn't be recommending that, unless you what to end up like me with an extra 10kg post-pg .

Pipi, sympathies on the backache, I had spd with DS and ended up with really bad back and hips after giving birth, I could hardly walk first thing in the morning. The only thing that works for me is exercises, but not easy I know with a newborn. Some very simple stretches can help a lot though, let me know if you'd like more details.
