Just setting this up in good time so we can link to it before we lose each other...

True Squonk, will discuss with DH over a beer later (I nearly called him DP then, how strange...).

DS2 was asleep again by the time I went up. I think they have been asleep about 2 hours. Plus all the time we were out earlier, which was about 1.5 hrs, plus a bit this morning. Oh that's not too bad actually, I'll leave them all a bit longer.

DS1 will prob end up going to bed a bit late tonight as DH will be bathing him etc, so he can sleep til 4:30 if he wants.

Egg, I am so envious that ds1 still naps and sleeps at night! dd3 dropped naps at about 20 months

Egg · 18/04/2008 16:29

I cannot imagine how I would ever ever cope without him having a nap. He skipped it at nursery the other day and he was soooooooooooooooooooooo exhausted at bedtime. He didn't sleep any longer tho, and for the first time in months he went back to bed at 9:30am as it had such a knock-on effect. He is a lively lad tho, never sits still for long (even when watching tv).

dd3 is always on the move too..but she does sleep 12 hours at night (unless poorly) so I can't complain so much...

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 18/04/2008 16:37

my littlies's sleep patterns are a bit wonky at the moment, so I won't comment on that one just now

Our lease is 2 years from January just gone. So the rent will not change in that time.

Hello ladies,
Busy chatty day on here again . Am just back from a very cold but fun day at Odds farm. dd loved it all, kept shouting cow/moo at all the animals and ra ra when stroking the rabbits (which she hadn't ever seen before). Shame the weather was so poor but at least it didn't rain and I suppose it was probably a bit quieter there.

Dinner was very good last night, lots of nice red plonk but they have changed my fav pudding . Am off out again tonight to a body shop facial party, really don't think I can be bothered.

thanks for the neighbours catch up, I can't get the hang of watching it on Ch 5.

Squonk - loved your new hair style picture, hope you can get it done before the meet up.

Egg - Glad things got better after your walk and McDs .

Thanks again for all the virtual presents, this whole week off has been nice, really don't want to go back to work next week.

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 18/04/2008 17:56

marmite - sounds like today was good as well. Pita about the pudding last night though!

Do hairdressers take credit cards? And would I be able to pay in advance over the phone (due to the only credit card not technically being in my name )
If yes, then I will make an appointment next week. If I have to pay cash, twill have to wait till the end of the month

Dropdeadfred · 18/04/2008 19:01

You wouldn't be able to pay in advance (unless they do gift vouchers) but yes they will take credit cards Squonk!

Dropdeadfred · 18/04/2008 19:02

But they do normally chip and pin squonk so should be okay to use dp's card with his knowledge

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 18/04/2008 20:11

He might come and pick me up, in which case he could put the pin in himself, couldn't he?

thanks for that.

I may ring around tomorrow...

marmitemad · 19/04/2008 19:34

Hellooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo zappatas

Where is everyone? Have you all been out enjoying the lovely weather? (not!)

Was very annoyed this morning when the post came to find that the special bracelet I ordered for SIL had been stolen . The envelope had been torn open and twas only the paperwork left . I think it was because they had put a customs form on the outside saying contents were jewellery worth $69. Shipment was insured up to $80 so have sent the company an email to find out what happens next.

we went to m&s today to change my red birthday cardigan and left after having spent £250 between us .

I got [http://www.marksandspencer.com/gp/product/B0014CUYKO/sr=1-35/qid=1208629843/ref=sr_1_35/202-9297788 -9033415?ie=UTF8&node=&m=A2BO0OYVBKIQJM&keywords=&mnSBrand=core&size=9&rh=n%3A43009030&page=4 this dress]]to think about for the weddings this year.

Squonk - Hope you managed to sort your hair appoint out?

Dropdeadfred · 19/04/2008 20:45

Ohhh Marmite that's so nasty!!! Poor you!

I hope you can get another one sent in time...

I hop they get karma!!

Poor DP is in agony and unable towalk... Think he's slipped a disc...

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 19/04/2008 20:50

fred! have you been having really rough and exciting sex working him too hard?

Is he in a lot of pain? back pain is 'orrible, he has my sympathy.

marmite - couldn't see the dress you bought. Tis a bugger about SIL's bracelet - hope you can get it sorted and another one sent out without too much hassle.

I am having my hair cut on Friday (but dp may have to work late, in which case I shall have to cancel. But, fingers crossed...)

dp pissed me off a bit today. Dd2 is poorly. She has been moping on the settee all day, and has a temp and is generally not well.

Dp said "it's really unusual that she is so ill when neither of us have had any symptoms" So I've been dancing a fecking jig all bleeding week have I?

Dropdeadfred · 19/04/2008 21:09

Well Squonk..I'm not denying everything....

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 19/04/2008 21:10

if you're going to get hurt... may as well get hurt when you're enjoying yourself

Dropdeadfred · 20/04/2008 10:41

he's still immobile and really hurting...

Egg · 20/04/2008 18:04

Hello just a quickie DH just told me he is taking laptop to work tomorrow so I wont be around . No time to post now .

OP posts:
SquonkTheBeerGuru · 20/04/2008 20:48

egg!

we'll miss you tomorrow (or yesterday, depending on when you are able to read this )

dd2 been very poorly today. Her temperature has gone through the roof! She's been sleeping most of the day, but when she's awake, she's lucid and ok. Not too sure what is wrong with her, she says she has tummy ache, and as I say, she's tres, tres hot. So, deffo no nursery for her tomorrow.

Ds being ok though - he is very sweet to his poorly sister, keeps fetching and carrying for her (and jumping on her head because it's funny )

How has everyone else's weekend gone?

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 21/04/2008 14:18

everyone else busy as well?

dd2 no better. Worse if anything. She's been throwing up everything - even water. her temp keeps going up as well. Calpol and cool damp cloths seem to be keeping it fairly low, but she's a poorly lickle munchkin today.

Ds on the other hand isn't. He keeps jumping on her and can't understand why she won't jump back

Dropdeadfred · 21/04/2008 16:42

Awwwww poor little dd2 Squonk, have you taken her to the gp yet?

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 21/04/2008 18:00

no, I haven't fred. NHS Direct said to treat her at home with calpol and if she is ill for more than three days then to call the doc out.

As long as the calpol is bringing her temp down, then I'm not too worried.

Dropdeadfred · 21/04/2008 20:52

Ahhh Okay then Squonk..se must be okay if you're not too worried. Seeing as we love next door to our GP's surgery I can pop in easiloy carrying dd3 if I need to, but NHS Direct is good for times where you can't get teher or don'tknow whether to bother them etc

Hope she's better soon...poor little thing

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 21/04/2008 20:54

she seems a bit better tonight, so we'll see how she sleeps and how she is tomorrow.

Tis handy to live next door though

Dropdeadfred · 21/04/2008 21:16

I know Squonk...I will really miss it when we move and we have to change GP's too...

scottishmummy · 21/04/2008 21:32
