Just setting this up in good time so we can link to it before we lose each other...

OP posts:

Thanks girls, you know how to make an egg smile on a crappy day .

All DCs in bed [phew]. Fed DTs at 1:30 and DD had 120ml so not bad and DS2 had 250ml (his biggest feed ever!). DS1 spent the whole time trying to stop his poo coming out. He finally let it out at 2pm and is now a happy little soul who is hopefully asleep. Wish he would understand that holding it in just prolongs the pain .

Missed neighbours tho . Squonk did you see it? Anything exciting?

OP posts:
SquonkTheBeerGuru · 18/04/2008 14:38

neighbours very good.

Bridget's dad insisting she move to all girls school (St Marys - sounds strict!) Declan figured out what happened by asking Bridget what colour Mr. Henderson's eyes are - she didn't know.

Steve stormed into school and started to beat up Mr. H, while the whole school looked on. Bridget trying to stop him. Rachel like this;

Declan says to Rachel - "are you just going to watch?" she says "ummm....."

Declan piles in and says "Mr. Parker. You've got the right scumbag but the wrong girl. Bridget is completely innocent, tis Rachel who is the jezebel" (or words to that effect)

then the theme tune came on.

Darren left and went back to Shep. Marco went to the airport, and Fraser rang Rosie, who told Carmella - she's obviously thinking about whether to let him go.

erm.. think that's it.

Egg · 18/04/2008 14:49

Oooh, v good synopsis Squonk. Thank you . Rachel is a complete and utter b**ch for letting it get that far. Poor Bridget. I like Steve though, he is quite a cool dad I reckon.

I want Carmella to get back with Oliver.

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 18/04/2008 15:05

i quite like marco though...

and wasn't rebecca lovely with carmella the other day?

Dropdeadfred · 18/04/2008 15:11

Jeeez you two are neighbours addicts!!!

I NEVER watch daytime tv ( or that much at night tbh...the girls always fight to watch their choices...

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 18/04/2008 15:13

no, me neither, fred.

in fact, the telly's only there for show.

Dropdeadfred · 18/04/2008 15:16

Hmmmmmmm I'm finding your knowledge of an Ausie daytime soap belies that fact Squonk!!

When we looked around the house we are moving to I was amazed by the amount of televisions....one in the games room, the kitchen, the lounge, the study and two out of the four bedrooms!!! And they were alll maaassssssiivveee flat screen thinsg on the walls!!!
Only three people were living there, how could they need that many?

My tv is on alot...it's just kiddy crap most of the time ..

Egg · 18/04/2008 15:16

My tv is always on crappy daytime tv if DS1 is not here . Even though I am not watching and have no idea what is on, it is still on since Home & Away finished. Maybe that's why my bills are so high...

Feeling very tired now. Just been reading Magnolia's thread about her unexpected / unwanted baby No 6. Feel v sad for her to be in that situation.

OP posts:
SquonkTheBeerGuru · 18/04/2008 15:18

dd2 is at nursery and ds is having a nap.

Telly still on since neighbours (crappy american sob film thing)

I don't watch very much, but it is always on.

I will admit to neighbours though.

haven't read that thread, egg... am off for dd2 now, but will have a look later.

Egg · 18/04/2008 15:18

We only have one tv that we use. In the sitting room. There is a small one in our bedroom but I haven't watched it since we moved here. Only keeping it as it has a video on it and so if I do ever want to watch a video (unlikely as haven't for years) I can still play one.

Fred whereabouts are you moving to? Still in same area? Sorry you prob said but I forgot . When is moving date? Bet you are excited.

OP posts:
Egg · 18/04/2008 15:19

So it seems that Squonk and I are "not watching" the same crappy prog!

OP posts:
Dropdeadfred · 18/04/2008 15:22

Yes the same area Egg...we are moving on 10 or 17th may hopefully...

We have a tv in our room with built in dvd player..we do watch dvds far more than actual telly.

I actually only said to Dp last night that I cannot remeber the last time i actually planned and wanted to watch anything on the tv...we watch Top gear repeats together but I never get excited about looking forward to watching anything anymore...

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 18/04/2008 15:48

gosh, fred. that's quick! I know that renting is waaaaay quicker than buying, but that still seems mighty fast!

cbeebies is on again now. Guess who's home

Dropdeadfred · 18/04/2008 15:50

I know Squonk and we are NO WHERE near ready!!!

We will only be there for a year too and then have to do it all again!!! But at least then we shall be buying!

Egg · 18/04/2008 15:50

I still have the crap American thing on in the background. Have not watched even a minute of it, but can't be arsed to move.

DCs all still asleep. Prob ought to get those babies up but hey, why bother???

What's on cbeebies? Surely better than what's on channel 5!

OP posts:
Egg · 18/04/2008 15:52

Fred we did ours pretty quick last summer. We saw the house at beginning of July and moved in Aug 18th. It was hell for me as I had to do everything and was early pg and felt tired and crappy and had bouncy DS1 to cope with. However looking back it was quite painless. At least as you said before you have moved a fair bit and know what to do, plus older DDs can sort their own rooms out I presume!

I wish we owned this house. I don't want to have to move again in the next year or so.

OP posts:
SquonkTheBeerGuru · 18/04/2008 15:55

tweenies.

egg - would the landlord sell it? Especially now things are looking bleak on the housing market front?

It may be worth asking him if you really want to stay.

Had more problems with that bleeding dog when getting dd2 I just don't understand why they think it's dd2's problem, not the fact that they let their dog run loose at school chucking out time!

Egg · 18/04/2008 15:57

Those people need to sort out their bleeding dog. It is not fair on DD2 / DS or any other littlies (or biggies).

Keep wondering whether to mention to landlord we would be interested, but if we did then he might try to charge us more knowing we are keen, ie, so much less hassle not having to move etc. I don't think he would sell tho, he has been renting it out for about 20 years apparently.

My botty has gone numb from sitting here so long .

OP posts:
Dropdeadfred · 18/04/2008 15:59

yes the girls will do their fair share...thank God!

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 18/04/2008 16:05

egg - do you not have a lease? He can't put the rent up until the lease runs out.

Dropdeadfred · 18/04/2008 16:09

tenancy agreements normally allow for a 'fair' increase in rent after initial 6 months/year

Egg · 18/04/2008 16:10

No sorry I meant more to buy it if we told him we were keen.

DS2 crying, better give him a nice cuddle before the others join in.

OP posts:
SquonkTheBeerGuru · 18/04/2008 16:10

do they? ours is fixed for the term of the lease.

I suppose they would have to defend their use of the word "fair" in that case

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 18/04/2008 16:11

egg - you could always get it valued first, then go to him with an offer.

If you were serious of course.

Dropdeadfred · 18/04/2008 16:11

how long is your lease Squonk?
