I pretend to clean my house every day

Egg · 10/03/2008 14:20

Right I have STEAM CLEANED the carpet downstairs. It has been puked over by DS2 repeatedly. ooooh it is so satisfying seeing the dirt in the hoover thing. It is actually called a DIRT LIFTER!

Better see how babies are. Can't hear a thing when machine is on and it is very quiet up there .

Bonkerz how can you not want to stick around? And LL? I can't stay away from these lovely ladies.

Wonder how marmite is. And wonder where Fred is?

that last one looks nice

marmitemad · 10/03/2008 15:10

can I have the choc and whiskey????

thanks for all your lovely words, am feeling a bit more stable now. sil is as ok as she can be. I have given her a head and foot massage and lots of hugs/hand squeezes, she is having contractions so was going to be examined at 2pm to see if they can break her waters. Hoping and praying it is all over quickly, unfortunately she is on main labour ward surrounded by crying babies as the bereavement suite has leaking windows.

fryalot · 10/03/2008 15:18

oh marmite, that's bloody awful!

Can you see if the hospital will do hand and foot casts of the baby? I believe that this helps in the future. And obviously, a nice picture. Can you take in a nice outfit? And a moses basket, they will want a picture of the baby in a nice setting, not a hospital setting iykwim.

So, so hard for them to deal with, and hard for you as well.

On a different note, how's Connor today? Any sign of him coming home?

Thats so crap marmite...jesus why can they not do something..give her a private room orsomething?

A friend of mine had to give birth to baby at 23 weeks that wasn't alive...amazingly she has 'happyish' memories of the time she spent with her tiny daughter before sayinggoodbye. I hope your sil can find some peace with what has happened ( eventually of course).

Have just eaten a huge piece of carrot cake and now feel sick.

all the staff are being really lovely, offering lots of tea and compassion. They have been given a stack of leaflets with information and a post mortem form .
I think they will do hand/footprints and she has chosen an outfit to dress baby in, we are all going to see her and baby if its not too late. I just feel so, so inadequate .

No more news on Connor yet, did all you see the pics on my profile from yesterday?

villa with pool is lovely, am mentally pretending I am there now, and today is just a bad dream.
