Just setting this up in good time so we can link to it before we lose each other...

Oooh smashing. She can sleep in the loft. Will she stay up drinking wine with me at night (on the nights DH and I don't go out to the local nightclub)???

Exercise bike is fixed. Spose I ought to test it out.

Once i have drunk my tea...

I know it will be a tough call for her... drink wine with egg/go to bed early and make a start on GCSE coursework for next term...

I think you will have a drinking buddy.

egg used the word "excercise"

Egg · 13/03/2008 13:42

Realised there really wasn't time to get on bike before Neighbours (am getting back into it now I am foregoing my lunchtime sleep).

Doesn't Libby look old.

Tell DD1 that I will miss her if she doesn't come to Brighton btw. Don't blame her if she would rather not, but she was lovely last time

I will tell her, egg

I am liking the advert break in the middle of neighbours

Dd2's nursery teacher wants to talk to me about ds starting nursery. She thinks he may start in September after all

So, come September, I will be able to MN clean all day long

Egg · 13/03/2008 14:07

Yippee! So they are treating him as a day older than he is? It sounds like he is ready to go, and must be missing his sis.

Just think, on Mondays we can chat ALL DAY (once all our chores are done ).

DD just had a poo. She gets upset when there is poo in her nappy. So changed her. Now she has passed out on the changing mat.

They are sleeping a LOT at the mo. Think it is the jabs.

Tis raining. Have only had to do the nursery run once in the rain since DTs were born! Looks like today might make it twice .

OP posts:
fryalot · 13/03/2008 14:19

well, the rules say that they are eligible for a free nursery place in the term that starts after their third birthday.

Now, he will be 3 on September 1st. Term doesn't start till 4th or 5th.

So I reckon that covers him.

Bu-ut have previously been told that the cut-off date is 31st August so he will not be eligible.

Will wait and see what she says this afternoon.

Dropdeadfred · 13/03/2008 14:52

oooh yes, dd3 will go to nursery for free for 5 sessions a week when she is 3 (well in september this year)

fryalot · 13/03/2008 14:55

but fred... when will she start? will she start in September? And when exactly is her birthday?

(when I say start, I mean start for free...)

Egg · 13/03/2008 15:01

Sorry forgot to say to whoever asked, DS2's hernia is no worry. It is an umbilical one that normally goes away of its own accord by age 1. DD had one last month but hers is now a granuloma.

Clear as mud hey?

Going to feed the monkeys now. Don't really enjoy tandem feeding them (prefer cuddling feeds) but it is SO much quicker.

Back later .

OP posts:
fryalot · 13/03/2008 15:55

the only words I understood re: hernia, granu-thingy were "no" and "worry"

Egg · 13/03/2008 16:03

Ahhh, the babies are playing under the activity arch. DS2 is kicking the toys and DD is batting them with her hands. All accidental contact but sweet all the same .

Suddenly realised marmite is coming tomorrow and I haven't done any cleaning or hoovering or anything. Will have to pay her (or feed her choc chip muffins) so she doesn't tell you all what a shitehole I live in .

OP posts:
fryalot · 13/03/2008 16:04

send her round to mine afterwards.... she'll be so disgusted by the state of my house she will forget all about yours

fryalot · 13/03/2008 16:06

can I share an AAAawwwww moment?

I'm going to anyway.

The littlies are going through dd2's pyjama drawer. Ds has just brought out a pink pj top with piglet on it. He says to dd2 - "wear this, dd2, you will look pretty in this. Pleeeeeeease wear it, I want you to look pretty"

awwwww

Egg · 13/03/2008 16:12

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. How sweet. I keep saying to DS1 "isn't DD pretty?" so hopefully he might do something similar one day.

Is he a bit in awe of DD2?

Awwwwwwwwwwww.

not sure if he is in awe of her... he obviously loves her to bits though.

your dd is very pretty so am sure ds1 will notice eventually.

Egg · 13/03/2008 16:26

I wonder if my DS1 will be interested in marmite's DD??? She is probably still too much of a baby for him to want to play with her, he will prob treat her like a BABY and stroke her head instead of playing games. Who knows. I would love it if he showed her his toys etc. Ahhh. She is also very pretty. I haven't told him they are coming in case they can't make it and he is disappointed.

marmitemad · 13/03/2008 19:14

Have decided I am definately coming tomorrow as I need to do something nice, will text when I'm leaving to give you time to hide . So looking forward to meeting the dts and ds1 again. It will be interesting seeing how they interact with each other . Please don't do any special cleaning on my behalf but I will happily eat some choc chip muffins if required. Hope we don't get any flooding this time .

Went out to music class after lunch and suddenly felt really low when it finished so came home and spent the afternoon on the sofa, eating choc and watching pride and prejudice with dd, she insisted on nabbing a small piece of 75% cocoa orange choc, thought she'd spit it out but no she devoured it and then looked for more, fortunately I'd hidden the packet .

Squonk - I would love your dd1 to come and babysit over the summer, I really miss going to the cinema and nice italians for dinner. Ahhhh at ds, am also looking forward to meeting you and your dcs in Brighton. Will we all have to wear badges or something to id us?

Egg · 13/03/2008 19:36

Hmmm, I think we will recognise each other by the wedding dresses and tiaras . Last year it was quite easy as we were all looking out for Zapps. At least I know everyone but Phono...

Indeed hopefully a day here will cheer you up marmite (or not...). Even if it is stressful and noisy and DS1 hits your DD all day, it will take your mind off everything else! He is unlikely to hit her all day btw...

I think he will be quite interested in your DD, he takes a keen interest in all the "babies" at nursery, and that's basically all the children under 18 months. He likes to go over and stroke them and worries if they are crying etc.

Oh, btw, all THREE CHILDREN ASLEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All fed, all bathed, all asleep. Impressed?

OK, babies are asleep down here, but that's just cos they are not used to going to bed at this time yet and I worry that if they are crying when DS1 is trying to go to sleep they will keep him awake.

Have worked out that feeding them at 6:30ish works well with DS1's routine. Means I can bath him at 6pm and then he can watch tv while I feed them til 7. Then I go upstairs with him and do stories etc before putting him to bed.

Right, I think it is time to log off. Marmite if you need anything just shout tomorrow.

OP posts:
marmitemad · 13/03/2008 19:59

ah I'd forgotten about wearing our tiaras .

Egg - You truly are superwoman in disguise , hope you have a good night.

Egg · 14/03/2008 07:19

My night was shite. Worst for ages . Still, I was asleep from 9:30pm til 2am so that's something. DS2 I think had a tummy ache he was awake from 1:30, I gave in and fed him at 2am despite not liking to feed before 3am now as they normally don't. Then he was awake again at 4:30 and has not settled since. Ended up trying to feed him again at 6am but he is not v interested.

DD on the other hand went from 10pm to 5am without a feed.

DS1 awake at 6:10am.

Grrrr.

Thank god marmite is coming to help me survive the day. It is pissing down too, so can't even go in garden to amuse DS1.

How is everyone else?

OP posts:
Egg · 14/03/2008 09:48
