I was up late reading a book, which was stupid because I should have got an earlier night. Ho hum.

Rain again this morning, and I have a wash on that I should have done yesterday in the nice dry weather. <le sigh>

DH’s car is back here but the garage can’t get it in until Monday, so it looks like he’ll be using mine until it’s sorted.

Woke up once or twice in the night but actually slept for the most part so phew. Didn’t wake up feeling anything other than urgh work. <side eyes at real life>

It appears to be raining again but it’s Friday so that makes me care a bit less about it.

Can’t even remember what the weather did today. That’s how exciting things were.

DS2 is murmuring away to himself on a game at the moment but it’s at that quite low level, just loud enough to be noticeable and really fecking annoying. Sshhhhhhh.

Evening all. Not rain to speak of today (hurrah) though everything still v. wet. The ducks are swimming in the field up the road, and the mist rises up from the fields in the evening - all scenic (and damp).

The manshapes have been out but will be home soon - I managed to watch Elizabeth - The Golden Years while they've been out, which had less David Bowie in in than the title suggests but was entertaining enough.

Saturday tomorrow - hurrah. I need to plant some bulbs, which I bought in a fit of enthusiasm quite a few weeks ago. I might treat myself to a new pot as well <eyes up garden voucher that's been sitting in my purse for months>. Or I might hide indoors, depending on the weather.

FML - I wrote a post this morning. <humph> Oh well. I have been being productive in the garden, complete with trip to garden centre (no stopping for cafes - I can make a better hot chocolate at home. Which reminds me - I need to order more hot chocolate.)

Went out to a party in BigCity on Thursday night with FancyMan, was at a very trendy place, quite good fun. Had yesterday off so made a quick visit to a gallery before getting cheap(ish) last minute tickets for the theatre. Saw a farce, was well done but did rather cement my opinion that farces are not really my thing.
Have not done much today - some minor pottering & a few jobs, but mostly looking forward to an evening at home

Also at sodding insurance renewal time, where they throw quotes at you online and then cheerfully say that they're assuming you have no trees or water nearby, so you still have to spend hours on the phone to get an actual quote that covers you.

Day off today woohoooooo. It’s raining but I don’t care. Plan is rush round doing house stuff and ironing and then sit on my backside doing not very much at all thank you.

We had no rain today - hurrah. Excitement has been provided by BT men going up and down the road trying to fix faults, and announcing that they can't do anything about the broken branch that is resting on the wire - they'll have to wait until the branch comes down and breaks the wire completely, then fix it. FFS, WTF and all that.
