I'm so shaken after yesterday's shooting in Brussels. Two Swedes killed and one seriously injured, just for being Swedes. That could have been me in 2006 when I was in Berlin during the World Cup, wearing my fotball jersey

Very very weird dreams featuring Stefan Edberg and a tourist attended crumbling warehouse where some “heavies” were trying to sell bags of drugs. Stefan crushed one under his foot and got fined €28.

All fine here thanks - had DD with me for much of the weekend, which was lovely. It meant for a busy weekend as if we weren't pottering around together I was pottering around doing chores, phoning Dad & generally trying to work out what I need to catch up on.

Hope MIL's foot is ok letus & that all wenches are not freezing and have secured themselves against getting blown away when the storm hits. I'm sure helen has some pictures to illustrate tying-up techniques?

Wenches, I’VE GOT COVID. I had a terrible night coughing and generally feeling horrible. I did a test this morning and it was positive. I’m so shocked; I have no idea where it’s come from. It’s not the pub on Sunday as that’s too soon, but I think the most likely place is ironically the chemist I went to last Wednesday for my Covid jab! Anyway it’s not a bad thing as I haven’t had it before and it’s good for the immune system.

Where on earth did that Stefan Edberg dream come from? That really is random.

In this morning's excitement, Killer Kitty left me left me a rat's head this morning, in the middle of the floor. Along with some dried out mouse stomachs. Then once DS had gone to school I found that KillerKitty is extending his repetiore into fortune telling (with rat innards) - complete set of stomach and intestines, though the only meaning I could read is "I didn't want to eat this bit, and I'm going to demand more food later".

Today is busy with work and meetings and stuff. Must get arse in gear.

Wind and rain. Nothing like other places have got so counting myself lucky for that. DS2 is on late start and early finish so I’m just convincing myself that big bits of the many many trees he passes are going to break off and hit him. Because I have a stupid brain.

Morning all. Yes - lots of windy and the rain (pushing 1cm here already, though I didn't have my glasses on and weather so I didn't bother to try and read exact measurements). Predictably KillerKitty is not going out in that and is boooooooooooorrrrred; Intelligent cat is hiding away upstairs.

DS has a teacher training day at school, so he's still in bed. Lucky child.

My sore throat has returned with a vengeance. Cornflakes we’re not the best choice for breakfast as they wouldn’t go down. I had a boiled egg for lunch which was better and have a tin of rice pudding for tea. ‘Tin’ came out as ‘gin’ which might be a good idea under the circumstances. I have absolutely no appetite. Woe!

Evening. Rain, rain, rain, rain, rain. About 2 inches today and we ended up bailing out one of the soakaways. twice to stop it overflowing. But still, it's far worse elsewhere, so...! And I've been out meeting friends after a very tedious day at work, so that was nice. I've ended up at Sporting Venue where DH and DS are training, and then we can all go home together.

Lots of stuff to do, the usual weekend shenanigans, so I’ve not done anything other than put a wash on.

Morning. It's was blue skies and sunshine when I woke up, but since then it's clouded over, so now it's cloudy with occasional sun. I don't think that any rain is forecast, but I'm not sure if the clouds are onboard with that plan.

Today is... finish yesterday's work, so I don't have to do it on Monday. Then look around the house and attempt to be productive.
